Freddy Lullaby reduced?

So I played a match vs a Freddy just a bit ago and first he got a gen grab on be because he had no lullaby until he was rounding the corner and grabbing me, second hook was a tunnel directly off hook and the third I ran right into him again he had no lullaby came right around the corner and it wasn't there til he was right on top of me. When he did get right on top of me the lullaby sounded as it would when it just barely starts when he normally comes close enough to have you hear it. Anyone else have this happen?

As long as you are awake, Freddy doesn't have a lullaby but a normal TR, that can be reduced and repressed with perks.

You start the game awake and you are also woken up when you get hooked. This means, that he can then use any perks to make his terror radius (heart beat) disappear and creep up on you. However, when Freddy hits you, you are immediately pulled into the dream world, so you will hear his lullaby again. Note, that will only happen, if you don't have micro sleep immunity from an alarm clock.

Also you clearly did not read the entire post or you would have understood that even when he was right on top of me the lullaby was as if he was at max range for it to be audible. This forum is full of people that don't read fully and assume they are talking to a day 1 new player coming into contact with a killer ability or perk for the first time. it's like when I posted about survivor blood trails just stopping when they have no perks to stop their blood mid chase with no followable trail leading off. Why is it hard to fully read when answering?

Nothings changed with his lullaby. It’s very quiet though so sometimes other noises can sort of drown it out and make it hard to hear.

Also Freddy’s lullaby sounds the same at all distances. Even if he is right on top of you it will sound the same as if he is 30 metres away. It doesn’t change with proximity like the terror radius does.

You probably just did not hear it, I have got grabs as freddy back when I first started playing him (at low mmr) you just need to be more vigilant.

I did manage to get a grab recently...

Were you playing Meg? Was the map Red Forest? Was the Freddy using the bloody prestige skin?

I agree the OP reply to the answer was not necessary

he answered me as if I have never played vs Freddy before and no the Lullaby isn't the same at all distances or at least it didn't used to be. It's been months since I went against one and it used to get stronger slightly as he got closer. I started the game when he was new, he is the killer that brought me here and yes I didn't post a video here but when I am listening for the lullaby and it isn't there til he is right on top of you that's an issue and assuming someone just isn't listening for it because they ar new, especially when that assumption is addressed in the post as clearly wrong then yes. I get irritated because people assume I lost a blood trail because of lucky break, no lucky break on the survivors. I post that in the original post and they still assume because they didn't read. This was not a decent answer this was a patronizing answer directed and a presumed new player.

To be fair, it wouldn't be unrealistic for you to have never played against a Freddy before. You could play this game for hundreds of hours and never once play against Freddy. His pick rate is quite low after all. I certainly haven't seen a Freddy in quite a while. Also, when you ask a question, then it's only natural that people will assume that there are things you don't know. Otherwise, why would you even ask? Go to the Bug Report section, if you already know that it is a bug.

I didn't mean to offend you in any way and I also did not mean to patronise but how can I know what you do and don't know about this killer? If it did come off that way, then I apologise. Given the information I had, this was as good of an explanation as any other and it's always more likely that there is something we as players overlooked than there being a new bug. Frankly, I'm not sure what you wanted to hear. If you know everything about Freddy, then you also know that his lullaby hasn't been reduced. At least not intentionally. I trust that you would check patch notes first, if you know exactly what you are looking for. So I took it as a rhetorical question and tried to offer a possible explanation.

You are right though, that I was wrong about the lullaby not alternating. I apologise for that piece of misinformation. It does have in fact 3 different alterations. I have 2.4k hours in this game and I still don't know everything. Sometimes I also make mistakes and mix things up. I tried to look up further information about the range and my suspicion that it would build up for a survivor put into the dream world when he is already near but there isn't a whole lot to find.

To answer your question: There have been no patch notes stating that the devs changed anything about his lullaby, so it is safe to assume that this was a bug, if you can rule out everything else.

    Hopefully this clarifies it.

Good luck and see you in the fog.

The issue is the information to know this wasn't an I don't understand Freddy question was in the original post. A lot of times people only partially read things and answer based on what they think is being asked. The reason I ask here now instead of doing things in the bug forums is I will post bugs there with or without video evidence that are not posted there yet and never even get another view on the post. Best example is my most recent post on Chucky breaking pallets while in Hidey Ho mode with video evidence (I pointed out the timestamp as it happened during my stream) and not even one other person even checked out the thing, no upvotes means it's not likely to be looked at yet to this day when I use Chucky I can't rely on vaulting under the pallet because sometimes eh just breaks it instead. This ends the power by the way so I try to ask here if others are experiencing the same bug or issue I am before I make a bug report. As the twins there are a ton of times where I hit a survivor drop victor and follow blood to the end of a trail with nothing left to follow yet they are still injured and and there is always this little pool of blood that looks like they stood still there for a few drops then snuck away with no trail. I did a bug report over a year ago about this and people assumed they were using lucky break or something else that removed the blood yet even with video showing it and their perks at the end people swear it must have been. No attention and to this day this happens. I am sure a lot of the weird things I experience might be due to the fact that I am almost the same distance from NA east and NA west and have noticeable delay in say a survivor running and their scratch marks appearing. Scratch marks tend to appear about 1/3 of a second after they pass. Same with Doctor, his shocks are about 1/3 of a second slower to go out than others I watch on youtube or stream but if it's a latency thing causing more buggyness the team needs to either open more servers to reduce it or make adjustments to the game so that the latency doesn't cause them. Neither of these will happen if I am the only one reporting the issues.
