Forfeit Button for survivors/slugged.

thank you for all you do! 💕

This idea is from a friend of mine, she thinks it would be a good idea to have a forfeit button for a survivors that have been slugged for several minutes at a time.

The killer has no intention of hooking you, you’re just gonna lay there on the ground waste time, it would be nice to be able to just forfeit so you can move onto the next lobby instead of waiting over four and half minutes to die.

I believe it's called the quit game button. Also known has taking a..penalty.

Not gonna lie, your queueing up for a game. It may be long, may be short. Slugging is apart of that game. It's something we all have to deal with. Especially when slugged survivors in fact make a difference.

A forfeit button would be good.

Also, other survivors aren't your teammates, they are allies, not teammates.

People should get this idea of them being "teammates" out of their heads already.

    Teammates: Any cooperative sport.

Survivors: These are more like independent countries that help each other while it is mutually beneficial.

The key is 'while it is mutually beneficial.' I can win my Survivor match without the 3 other people. I cannot win football without my teammates. Meaning sometimes people will just walk out the door and leave you. "Omg my teammate left me." Stop right there, that is your ally not your teammate, they left because it's no longer beneficial for them to help you.

If it's not beneficial for me to lay on the ground for an undisclosed amount of time, I should be able to leave and go to the next match.

The real thing should be 'don't make the game dreadfully boring and they won't feel the need to forfeit.' The thing should be "how can we make this mechanic more interactive for both sides as to not have people dc/ask for a forfeit button. Not "what about your allies!" Because at the end of the day, doubly so in solo queue, your goal as a survivor is to escape, its not to get a "4 man out."

    Its for you to survive.

Wake up. They are not your teammates.

To be fair, slugging is a valid tactic, when used strategically.

Downing a Survivor under a pallet but knowing another is nearby will of course lead to leaving them on the ground to go after the other to prevent a save and potentially get 2 hooks at once. Or if gens are flying and the Killer needs some slowdown.

However it goes into borderline toxicity and boredom when people are left slugged repeatedly all the time until they bleed out or when there are 2 Survivors left and one is left slugged for 4 minutes while the Killer either camps the downed Survivor or frantically searches for the 4th Survivor in an attempt to make 100% sure he gets the 4k even if nothing happens until the slug dies and Hatch spawns.

The Killer can slug all he wants, it's not forbidden (although no one should be surprised if Survivors aren't exactly happy in the post-game chat if they basically went afk unwillingly for 4 minutes) but Survivors (or at least when there is only 2 Survivors left) should get an "instant bleedout" button to just make the game end already so they can move on.

the idea is if everyone is slugged and the killer has no intentions to pick anyone up :)

Slugging is a viable tactic yes, but if all 4 survivors are slugged and the killer has 0 intention to hook anyone, survivors shouldn’t have to wait 4 and half mins for each individual to bleed out.

The slug strategy is trash. How do you outplay a knockout & hex third seal killer who slugs? It’s going to be pure luck that your teammates come across you or that you’re able to find a teammate if you were the slug. Rather than relying on skill and awareness, they would rather allow for boring and non-interactive gameplay. The devs need to wake up. They are going to continue to lose their player base.

The amount of toxicity in this forum is unbelievable. Most of the ones defending slugging and saying "it's a valid tactic" are the ones that would stand over a slugged team probably laughing because they are "soo good". There's toxicity on both ends, and a really viable solution to 4k slugging is, if there's still more than two people alive, and all get downed, the first survivor downed immediately gains one health state, and endurance for 10 seconds.

A forfeit button is also a viable option for both sides, but should be given a window in which it can be used. I've had survivors quit the second they see who the killer is. That's ridiculous. It should work in a similar fashion to most arena games, where the survivors have to vote on forfeiting the match, so it doesn't screw over everyone.

Down for it so long as killers can when they have less than 3 hooks, and all the survivors stand at the exit gate teabagging until theres 2mm of EGC left

I’m not sure if I answered you already, but I’m just referring to the fact of when killers have no interest in hooking the Survivor at all, and leave all the survivors slugged for four minutes.

Just give the survivor, the ability to forfeit and move on… A bot can take the place.

A lot of survivors back at the gate and as a killer main it’s incredibly frustrating I get it. I don’t killers unless they 100% deserved it.

And, Yes, I am a killer main.

That I understand, truly. However, if the killer has no intention to picking up the survivor, and all four survivors are slugged, we would have to wait four minutes until we all bleed out and I’ve come across several killers that just slug everybody and wait for everybody to die.

In this instance, I would love a forfeit button where it will replace my body with a bot. That will gladly be happy to wait out the rest of the game. Lol

Exactly. I think it would be fair if everyone was slugged, after being left on the ground for a minute and a half, half or two minutes without the killer, picking up anybody you should be able to forfeit
