What is the point of these question and answer sessions? If anyone asks about future projects, like the FoV slider, 3 gen solution, or the Twins rework… we’ll just get a vague “stay tuned for more info” response.

I think the Reddit AMAs actually provided some great answers to common community questions, sure the first was a little bit better than the second and during the first and second some things have changed (which they have communicated) - but at least we get the opportunity to ask anything.
and the community should finally understand that no. Asking when buff Myers isn’t the not critical question to be answered in this. We usually get info on upcoming killer changes and they do see feedback outside of these direct dev-community interactions.

I hope this time people properly understand what they're asking. If you ask about "when are you going to fix [x]/add [y] feature", then you're pretty obviously quite likely to get back a stock answer, that's just common sense. Hopefully, this time people either ask something else if they don't want stock answers, or accept the possibility of stock answers if they really want to ask those questions.
Foolish hope, but I can dream, right?

I just don’t understand why we got a preview of the Survivor HUD way before it was released, but we still have zero previews for the FoV slider.
I don’t even think we know if it’s a killer only FoV slider, or if survivors are getting an FoV slider too, and part of the delay is that BHVR needs to check all the maps to see how many of the loops will become un-mind-game-able if survivors have increased FoV.

There's zero point to those AMAs, the answers are always "We can't say anything about that at this time."

There will be a setting I graphical menu and it will affect the first person FoV for killer just like Shadowborn/Monitor and Abuse do already. There is no actual HUD change and as of now nothing for third persons/survivor view has been mentioned whatsoever.
though I agree this could be a good question instead of repeatedly asking when they add the slider when it’s already been confirmed when to expect it when they confirmed they will add it in the first place…

Do we know if survivors are also getting an FoV slider? The latest roadmap just says “FoV slider”, and doesn’t specifically say “Killer FoV slider”.

That's the answer if the question is "when will you change this" or "when will you add that". If people ask questions about other things, assuming those questions are chosen, they get proper answers.
There's plenty to ask, people just choose not to and get mad at the obvious answers for some reason.

edit: in general, when talking about FoV in regards to accessibility it’s generally about first person view so I assume it’s not for survivors - but again, great question for Wednesday

Nobody CARES about the fluff stuff, the game's got issues that have persisted all 7 years it's been around and people want answers. It's not really an AMA if none of the questions have real answers. If they only want fluff questions then they should say so themselves.

I've never understood why people say this as though it's a contradiction or answer to my pointing out how these things work. What do you expect to change here?
If they don't have an answer, if they don't already have something to share when you ask, you get a stock answer. BHVR do not have the power to change this, no game company does.
Second to that, if you don't actually care about the stuff that gets answers, maybe these AMAs just aren't for you?

I will step in here to clarify some things - we cannot give timeframes for things that are happening far in advance, we work on a lot of things at any given time and can only really discuss the implementation of something at a set time - there's a lot of factors that can affect this, including things like licencing restrictions, embargo's etc.
We also answer as honestly as possible, given the recent Myers question where our Director of Design, answered that we'd be looking into Myers but that we don't have a design set for any update yet - there's not much more that can be added to that answer in fairness, as until that design is done, and the work scoped we can't give a detail as to when it would make it into the live game etc.

there is nothing major planned for Pyramid Head for the next few updates as seen in the roadmap below.
Pyramid Heads addons are on the list to look at for the future but not very high on the priority list (only assumed by me)

they usually can’t answer that much in advance as things can always change around. And questions like that are the reason why we often get these meme’s about non-answers (and I don’t blame you - I ask these kind of questions myself)

These AMAs are kind of pointless IMHO.
I hate to be critical when they're obviously trying to have better communication with the community, but we only ever get generic nonanswers with these types of thing.

Bet 5 bucks that someone will talk about how they’ve engaged with the community so much more via AMAs in next year’s anniversary stream
It’s not about providing actual information, it’s about showing there’s engagment with the community.
