Absolutely not.

Yes

Doesn't really change much, I think.
His add-ons have to be revised though.
5 -
Addon changes, yes.
110%, absolutely not.
8 -
making killers 4.4 are not the best solution
2 -
Why isn’t he 4.4? He probably should be tbh.
7 -
Would being a 110 really change much of a difference for him?
0 -
Wouldn’t be a massive change but would definitely help. There really is no reason why he shouldn’t be 4.4.
3 -
Changing him to 4.4 is probably one of the worst things they could do. His strength would barely change outside of indoor maps in which he already struggles with
7 -
There’s no reason for him to be 4.4. He’s not a ranged killer, and his power cannot be used at all times, effectively.
Edit - 110 speed feels absolutely miserable. We should never advocate for slow killers, it’s not fun.
7 -
So why Spirit is 4.4? She has the same limitations that Blight has.
0 -
You could make this argument about literally any other Killer, just because a Killer can be made 4.4 m/s does not mean they inherently should be.
I dont think it would be a good idea since making Blight 4.4 m/s would just give more of an excuse to make other Killers 4.4 m/s, and I really am not up to see Billy get put on the chopping block because "high mobility Killer = bad".
3 -
This is not true. I couldn't say that Spirit is 4.4 so Clown and Myers should be too. There is a huge gap between her and these and several other killers. The fact is that Spirit and Blight have good locomotion capacity and absurd chase potential, and it would be coherent if both were 4.4 m/s. I'm sure this wouldn't impact players who have already mastered Blight.
3 -
Me personally, I’d make spirit 4.6.
Edit - or I’d heavily decrease spirit’s power cooldown. It’s much too long and addon reliant.
But they do not share the same limitations. There is not a single tile, loop, or map, that hinders her phasing effectiveness. Her power’s only counter (through senses) is auditory. This is why she’s 4.4.
3 -
I wouldnt make Spirit 4.6 but I believe Chucky really deserved to be 4.6 or have a shorter cooldown, but I know that's not going to happen anyway. When I talk about limitation, I was referring to the punishment that both have when using the power completely ineffectively, the difference is that Spirit becomes 4.4 for 15 s and Blight 4.6 for 10 s.
1 -
I would agree, chucky’s power needs a cooldown reduction as well.
But that’s a skill limitation. The fact is that there are many tiles that completely take away blight’s ability to use his m2 as antiloop. Irregular shaped loops, loops with zero surrounding objects for bump logic, every single loop on red forest lol. You get the point.
The same cannot be said for spirit. That is why she is 4.4. A good spirit is going to be able to effectively use a phase at anytime, anywhere.
2 -
I acknowledge the claim, but I respectfully disagree and here are the reasons why.
The first reason is mostly due to the fact that his strength wouldn't change too much. On the killer's end, he would theoretically feel a bit worse to play, especially in indoor maps.
The second reason is to address why he's 4.6 in contrast to other killers who are 4.4.
Hag is 4.4 because she doesn't really chase in a normal way. Now of course, this could be said about any killer, but what makes Hag unique in chase is the fact that she can teleport and get a hit immediately afterwards once your reflexes and game sense are well developed.
Spirit is 4.4 because her power is as freeform as you can imagine. Spirit doesn't need to worry about collision or a lack of collision in order to get to a survivor and then swing for a hit.
Huntress and Deathslinger are 4.4 because their power is more or less freeform with adjustable range. The same can't be said about Artist because she has to replace crows since her crows can only go forward.
Nurse moves slower than 4.4, specifically at 3.85m/s because she can teleport through almost anything.
With Blight, his power works in a way where he needs to create a path in order to hit or down a survivor. Blight needs to be aware of what objects and general surroundings he has around him and use the collision of said objects and surroundings to get to that survivor. However, every path that Blight creates may not work out to get to the survivor, which is the reason why many of the paths he can create can backfire. This leads to many Blight players learning how they can approach specific tiles or loops and figure out what is the most effective path. Additionally, this learning curve never ends for Blight with each map released and even with the current maps.
The same thing can be said for our beloved Billy. For Curve Billy, even Drift King Billy but specifically Curve Billy, you have to analyze what areas of a map you can curve at, time the curve correctly, learn the angle at which you can curve, and actively avoid collision at all times. And with each map released, that learning curve (pun not intended) is still there and will always be there.
Of course, I'm open to being wrong about everything I said, but this is the reason why I respectfully disagree with making Blight a 4.4 killer.

Everyone else has made good points, I'll say this:
- Negatively impacts lesser-skilled players
- No real impact for good players on most maps
- Makes blight's worst maps more miserable
This change just makes blight worse to play on some maps and for the average player, will not decrease how powerful he is overall.
1 -
This is so random, makes 0 sense and gives 0 reasoning too
0 -
fix his hug tech, collision bugs, bouncing bugs so he can't glide a tree and nerf his strongest addons and there you go Blight is now fair and playable for all.
2 -
No one despises Blight more than me but i'd honestly rather wait to see the outcome of the addon changes before anything else is messed with. If he's still busted then you can go from there and change other things.

Knew Id find you here.
Just curious, what would be the problem with blight being 110?
I always felt like most good blights mostly rely on their power.
2 -
Can you explain why hag is a 4.4 killer then? She is not a ranged killer either.
0 -
This would make it so you only see good Blights, and that sounds aboslutely terrible.
I don't see a single reason why Blight needs to be 110. The only thing that makes him unbalanced is his add-ons.
1 -
In a way, she is. She can insta teleport and immediately get the hit/down from across the map.
She’s a territorial killer, not a chase killer.
You’ll always find me here.. haha
But first, 110 speed feels miserable. It’s simply not fun.
But mainly, there are still many tiles and maps that force you to play m1 blight a lot of the time. You cannot rely on his rushes all of the time. His power is not free, there is criteria that must be met to use power effectively. And based on the killer roster, it seems devs have made speed decisions based on that.
Hag, spirit, chucky are examples. Their power is free, usable at anytime, anywhere, effectively. They were made 4.4.
Wesker, blight, demo. Their powers are not able to be used freely and effectively. They are 4.6.
I could be completely wrong, and the devs justify speed some totally different way, but this is how I see it.

Thanks for the new perspective.
Gets me thinking about DbD's sometimes weird rules.

If you want Blight to be 4.4 speed, there better be compensation. Say, "Increase speed in his first rush." or something like that.
As much as I hate blight, I don't hate him THAT much, lol
Otherwise, no. His add-on need to go, not the base kit.
0 -
He probably should be but even if they did I don't think that would really change that much. I think if you took away a rush token or two that would be more impactful.
People are saying just touch add-ons and leave base kit alone which is crazy to me considering everyone acknowledges Blight is still S tier without add-ons and I don't think S tier killers should exist, they're not healthy for the game.
1 -
Blight becomes significantly weaker without addons.
2 -
She can get a hit with her power at pretty much any loop in the game. Blight can’t really do that at short rock loops so him being 4.4 would make him a pain to play there. Blight being an S tier killer isn’t a justification to make him 4.4, that’s not how it works.
2 -
First we need to nuke all of his busted add-ons and see how he is performing. If he is still problematic, then we can talk about base-kit changes. But for now, we need to see him without busted add-ons.

I dont understand why some killers are 110, and some are 115.
M1 killers like Trapper/Doctor...need 115 yes, because they dont have oppressive chase power. While Spirit,Hag are 110 that they should use power to catch up survivors.
Blight though, its not that I want him to be nerfed down to 110, but I dont understand why Devs put he's in 115 group. He has 230 speed
Edit: So I think that 110 has 24m TR, while 115 has 32m TR. With Blight speed, Devs had to give him 32m so they just dont rush on top of you without the time to react, which is why he has 115. Note that Wesker has 40m TR for this reason.
But now seems like speed & TR are not fixed together like back then, Deathslinger case for example.

They're still S tier though. Like going from very S tier to only kinda S tier doesn't really mean anything, it's actually not uncommon for blight's I go against to only be running shadowborn and nothing else, I don't see that with any other killer not even nurse (although I have no doubt nurse players could do this if they wanted to).
1 -
These “tiers” are made up. They hold no validity in this conversation on balance. You cannot reason, “this killer needs to be nerfed because they are S-tier”, because there is no such official thing.
Yea, some blights, including myself will run shadowborn only. So what? I vs’d a p100 blight a day or two ago running shadowborn only, and we all escaped as a solo q team.
I was running addonless, perkless blight yesterday and a couple teams 3-4 man outed against me. So I really don’t understand your point?
Blight’s overpowering effect comes from addons, not his base kit.
1 -
My highest escape is against Blight probably. But this does not make me think he is balanced. He is pretty much overpowered killer and deserves nerfs more than any killer. I really hope upcoming nerfs make him balanced and they don't replace his busted add-ons with new busted add-ons. He should have Nemesis level add-ons for max.

Blight mains normally "yeah they're S tier"
Blight mains when they realize that indicates blight probably needs nerfs "TIeRs ARe mADe uP"
lmao
This honestly comes across as purposeful ignorance to me. Everyone acknowledges Blight is the 2nd strongest killer in the game and some would argue for Blight being the strongest killer in the game. Yes Blights add-ons are dumb but base kit blight is also dumb and there are very few areas where blight can't get a hit. The fact that blight players largely feel like they don't need perks is probably a good indication that y'all know how dumb your killer is and they idea that "yeah well a couple people managed to escape tho" is a laughable counterargument because it basically translates to "balanced is when blight's kill rate when using no perks or add-ons isn't 100%". Like no the fact that you could probably have a kill rate well over 60% without any perks or add-ons is an indication of a problem that base kit blight is overtuned.

Because she teleports.
I used to enjoy playing Hag and I can definitely see why she is a 4.4 killer, it makes sense with how her power works and the amount of potential that she has.
Or at least it did, until they added the possibility of survivors removing her traps without flashlights. Another balance decision which I strongly disagree with.
1 -
Nope, I am not fan of 110 Killers. Being slow is never fun.
2 -
After reading these comments I see a good argument for keeping him 115. I will say removing Hug tech sounds like a much better suggestion. My idea was he should be forced to use his power to get hits.
