Should Survivors' Inventory/Offerings be Shareable?

Since Survivors are just skins, what are the arguments for and against allowing them to share their Items, add-ons and Offerings across themselves?

Sometimes I'm just really in the mood to play as Character X, but I don't have anything good on them πŸ˜•

Offerings should potentially be shareable, for survivors and killers. Mainly due to event offerings and being limited to spending BP during events only on the characters you intend to use in the future.

Items are a little more questionable. You'd have most players suddenly have acces to near infinite Commodious Toolboxes and the likes. Item rarity would be pointless, browns and yellows would be worthless.

Yes! Offerings should also be shared across killers, I hadn't thought about that!

    Think about it like this:

    • The 200+ Flashlights I have become useable across all characters... BUT there is less of an incentive to play different characters and it will reduce Survivor variety.

I know some person is going to bring up DBD Mobile having this mechanic but DBD Mobile is functionally different since getting items is more difficult than in normal DBD.

I'm lost. I don't play the mobile game but to your main point - I think it would increase diversity, that's why I want it.

For example, I really want to play Gabriel Soma tonight, but he's out of stuff.

If I could use offerings that I have on my high prestige characters, I would play him tonight.

Could you explain why you think it would decrease diversity?

I'm not saying you're wrong, I just wondered if you could clarify or rephrase.

I don't get what flashlights have to do with it.

    Sorry, I'm slow sometimes πŸ˜”

I would like them to be shared, before when survivors only had to be level 45 or 40 (I can’t remember as this point) to share perks I got them all to that level then poured everything into Nea because she was the most appealing for me to play as at the time and now theres so many survivors out that I would like to play as them but I feel stuck on her because it would take so long to rack up items/offerings. And I know I could just pour more blood points into those survivors but i’m like what’s the point for just a cosmetic change.

At least make BPS and the various anniversary cake style shared BP offerings universal. They do nothing at all besides.. you know, benefitting everyone in the match by giving them more BP.

If I have 20 different characters that each have 10 Flashlights each, if the Inventories were shared across characters, all of my items can be used on any character.

Because of this, I have no incentive to use a different character other than the ones I enjoy, because the items are shared across all inventories.

I am asking for this for years....but we all know how long it tames them to do anything so dont hold your breath for another 5 more

Offerings should be shared per role, but powers and addons should still be per character.

Since all survivors are just skins (with some changes in voice), I don't see why you can't just share items. I have a lot of survivors full of items that I don't use because I just leveled them up for the perks πŸ˜‚

As for the offerings, I definitely think that both: killers and survivors should share them. Sometimes I feel like playing a killer during an event a lot and once is done I may want to play another character ...so it would be nice having those event offerings with those I didn't use during the event 😬

On one side they are just skin. But on the other they are different. I mean there are survivors, who generally less loud (compare an Ace with a Bill for example). Or smaller (compare a Jeff with a Feng)

Why would I have 10 flashlights on 20 different characters when I could have all 200 on the survivor I'm trying to p100

Most people already favor 1 survivor and have more than enough stuff on them, I would argue that sharing inventory would let survivor players branch out more, feel comfortable playing survivors they only have 1 prestige in because they have access to the glut of stuff on their main

  • Prety much this.

There is literaly no reason not to be shared, and yes this topic is still relevant.

For offerings in general, for both sides, shared across killer just like Survivors like suggested but for both offerings and item/addon invos shared for Survivors

I think Items and Add-Ons should not be shareable among Survivors/Killers. However, I see a solid argument in favor of making Offerings being shareable among your unlocked Survivors and Killers.
