Update on cheaters?
The steps that have already been taken have worked since I no longer see the crazy flying and speed hacking anymore, but can we get an update on whether or not the devs are taking steps to stop the subtle cheaters? I've not heard about it in awhile.
Every once and awhile I'll get a match where someone could be wallhacking, gens go way faster then usual, or survivors feel like they are faster then they should be, etc etc. There's no way of telling who is and isnt with how subtle some of this can be.
Any updates would be nice to hear. thanks!

The devs answered this on their AMA. Basically it boiled down to, it is an arms race. They patch cheats and the cheats then get better.

Do you know Riot games (Vanguard) or Activision (Ricochet)? They have amazing results with their resonable software.
It's a question of motivation and resources.
But if you let the client decide which value input is valid, what results do you expect. The server says OK is accepted. And then there are people who complain that there aren't more game modes or rankings/tournaments in DBD. Well, what a miracle :D
But don't worry, there will definitely be a few skins coming out to satisfy the average DBD player, which in most cases is by far enough.

To answer your question then, the devs have said they are taking steps to stop cheats yes.

I 100% agree with what you are saying.
I think part of the issue is dbd from the ground up is built with too much client based interaction. So even though I agree the devs could and should do more, I still sympathise and recognise that what they have to work with is quite a challenge compared to say if they just started from scratch because so much of it is built with a focus on client info.
I will admit though, it has got miles better in the past year or two even if it is not where it should be.
