Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Does luck need an update?

As far as we know luck only affects your chance to unhook yourself. It may have other hidden benefits that we don’t know about but nothing is confirmed (as far as I know).

It seems obvious that luck should affect the rarity of items in chests as well as potential add-ons. To accommodate this Ace in the Hole would probably need an update.

What other ways do you think luck should be reworked; if it even needs to be reworked?

I think luck should adding the chance to get better item/addon in chest at least. But chests are so useless now so I dont think luck needed a rework...

Luck is more likely to get you killed than anything.

All luck offerings should be removed and players refunded bloodpoints.

Perks like up the ante need a completely new use created.

Luck definitely needs to be buffed imo. Its literally the only game mechanic that hasnt been touched since debut.

Yes it should make loot in chests better + the current effect.

When that happens I would also change plunderers instinct to not give better loot and instead make searching chests faster. Also I would make aces perk where you get addons on items from chests and that you don‘t loose the addons after games base kit.

Luck should be buffed to do the following:

Increases the likelihood of finding a rarer item in chests. Enables a chance for the sounds to be reduced.

Increases the size of Great Skill Check Zones.

Increases the odds of the Hatch spawning closer to the last survivor.

Decreases the odds of disturbing crows.

There’s a chance that “Technician” and “Bite the Bullet” can proc on failed skill checks.

Luck is then readjusted. If players play together the maximum Luck gets divided amongst them.

Say a team of 3 uses all Luck items while the 1 solo player uses a Luck item to reach maximum Luck. Only the solo gets maxed out. The 3 gets the maximum luck, but then it is divided amongst the 3 of them.

This means solo player will see Luck happening a lot more for them the most if everyone uses it. Since the team is coordinating they don’t need any extra happening. It happens less for them.

Semi-Squads could use Luck to help their solo teammates, who are often lacking. Solo survivors get pooped on, and Luck would help alleviate that.

I really like these ideas. I especially like the idea of luck affecting skill checks. I never thought about that before. Luck could even have a chance to hide some scratch marks or blood here and there. Luck affecting certain perks is also nice.

What a great comment. Thank you for participating.
