A very busy afternoon!

Fern and Buttercup have both been adopted (and in a rare occurrence, I got to meet the new owners as there was some miscommunication when they should show up so they showed up to meet them as I was cleaning up Saturday).
Rumor has it we have a new momma and four kittens showing up, though it'll be a bit before I'm back as I traded shifts with someone on a long vacation (hence I was there Saturday)

What's in the bags? I assume those are peanut and/or walnut bags? Do those work well? I always figured the birds can't really get to the shelled nuts in those things but I see them sold in a bunch of places...

theres only 1 bag, the others are a coconut filled with suet, and just a straight suet ball.
the actual bag is full of... very stale peanuts, i think. they've been largely ignoring it, actually.

Foxes... they are the animal of all time, being a weird mix of a cat and a dog.
They are also very vocal and expressive compared to other animals, and they have their own set of tones and noises which indicate how they are feeling. When in an altercation, foxes will just scream at the other fox until one gives up.
They are also the only species loosely based on Canines that can climb trees vertically, they have retractable claws that they can use to dig into the bark of trees and climb them. When nesting, they will either dig holes or live in the holes of trees (if high enough). They are omnivores and will often bury their food.
They also are not aggressive towards humans. A lot of foxes are incredibly smart and are willing to build up trust with humans, which has slowly lead to a domestication process, you can own one as a pet but it requires a license to do so.

The "plus" side is the owners are retiring. So they're not shutting down because of problems or whatnot (unless not finding someone to buy your shop is considered a problem I suppose).
