Hatch stand off still exists and needs a solution
A hatch stand off is a scenario where neither side can progress the game without losing. This scenario still exists, e.g.:
- the hatch is very far from exit gate and the killer cannot reach it in time after closing hatch. A survivor waiting at the gate for the killer to close hatch is guaranteed an escape
- the gates are too far from each other to be patrolled, e.g. Lery's and Hawkins. Once the killer closes hatch, the survivor is practically guaranteed an escape as they can just wait for the killer to come and leave before opening the gate. By the time the killer returns, the gate is opened
In both of these scenarios, the survivor is guaranteed an escape if the killer closes the hatch. Therefore, the only winning option for the killer is to wait at the hatch until the survivor gives up, which is a hatch stand off.
If a survivor finds the hatch, they are given an escape. If the killer finds the hatch, they should be given the equivalent, which is a kill. Hatch disproportionately benefits survivors, and it is unfair that closing the hatch can put killers in a losing position.

In many maps gates spawn right side by side and killer can patrol then just turning his head that's what you want right? Hatch stand off only exist if killer wants to waste incredible amount of time. Kills or escapes should not be automatically quaranteed it's fine how it is now.

If I see a killer camping the hatch, I just do a gen.

This is a matter of patients. Whoever is willing to wait the longest wins...also certain perks like no way out or wake up and certain killers like wraith or billy can shut these situations down. Either lose and go next or wait until the other player gives up.

Some survivors are definitely stubborn. I remember going afk (went to run to the restroom and grab some snacks) once there was one survivor left. I was just letting them get hatch. Game back a whole 10 minutes later and they were still at the exit gate trying to "wait me out" thinking I was camping the hatch. It's kind of silly.

Fam, if I get 3 kills along with finding the hatch (which is a 50/50), I DESERVE THE FOURTH.
It's so ridiculous that this can even be defended. Imagine if the Killer had a button to press that randomly appeared on the map after 5 gens were done, and there was a 50% chance one of the survivors just had a heart attack and died upon pressing it.
Is silly. I did my job, why does someone get a free escape?

That's exactly what I want. If I kill 3 survivors at 5 gens and close hatch, why should the last survivor have a chance to escape when they did 0 gens just because I closed hatch? If hatch never spawned and survivors still had to finish all gens, the last survivor would die 99.99999% of the time.
Hatch stand off only exist if killer wants to waste incredible amount of time.
False. Hatch stand off exists when both sides wants to waste an incredible amount of time. The survivor can come die any time and is equally guilty in prolonging the game. Why is it wrong for the killer to want a kill as much as the survivor wants to escape?
Kills or escapes should not be automatically quaranteed it's fine how it is now.
Not automatic in the slightest. As I said in my post, it is merely giving an equal outcome for both sides. Survivor gets an escape when they find the hatch. Why doesn't killer get the equivalent, which is a kill, when they find the hatch?
Also, if I kill 3 survivors at 5 gens, I've already worked for my overwhelming victory. Hatch is a pity mechanism that survivors literally did nothing to deserve.
Great! Then I close hatch and come kill you.

This is, assuming, you can find me first :P. Granted, I'll die to EGC before you get me :D.

This is an ego problem tbh. If it comes down to hatch you have won the match as killer. Stop wasting your and the survivors time to get a 4k for a minor amount more bp.

Some killers really need their 4K or their dad's gonna hit them

you open a gen killer close the hatch, you dead.

Killer has usually very high chance for one kill in the game so that's already fair survivirs has small chance for one escape in lost game. I think 2vs1 in this game should use some rework. Tcm did that better you can complete objective and escape from exit being only survivor left.

So survivor should give killer the kill. That's not how it's going to work. It's intended killer closes hatch when finding it. Killer already won no need to be entitled for 4K and that's still usually the result what happens naturally 80% of time without delaying the game forever.
If you win 5 gens remaining you are in wrong match you never should be matched agains't survivors much below your skill level.

No you don't. Nobody deserves anything. It's rng and a lot of luck.

Tell that to the survivors that teabag on the hatch or the gate.
1 -
Why? Do you care what they think or do? Don't let survivors annoy you. If your sensitivities are hurt that easy you're in the wrong game.

That the idea!
You camp hatch while I do a gen, pop it, then you close the hatch then you try to find me, simple!
Also uh...how do you open a gen? That's a thing xD.

but that will be 90s until survivor open a gen.
killer can't leave the hatch without close it. if do so, survivor maybe hide around, leave the hatch survivor will escape.
if just close hatch, survivor maybe wait to open the gate. maybe all over the map need to seek.
if wait survivor open a gen, survivor approximate location will be exposed to the killer.
Then, left to a randomly exit gate location to decide whether the survivor escape or die.
90s is Garbage time for this situation. 90s enough to matching a new game.
may be add a buff to killer that:
when killer close the hatch The Entity blocks both Exit Gate Switches 2~4s.
Survivor location are revealed to killer for 3s.
