Solo survivor question
Just a question to solo players: which boon perk would you prefer a team mate bring - CoH or Shadow Step? I can't decide π¬

CoH. The built in Empathy is nice and the healing speed is nicer. Shadow Step isn't really worth its weight imo.

Shadow step is too map dependent, god on lereys but trash on eeyrie.
So CoH, it even has that new aura reading built for randoms.

Coh obiviously. I am even disppointed if the boon is not Coh but others.

i'd prefer boon:dark theory out of all boons. the extra speed might make you not get hit extending chases. I miss my mft+dark theory build, that build was hilarious.

Yeah if I was asking this question a couple months ago, then I probably would have given more consideration to Dark Theory (though I didn't use MFT personally). But on its own I've never really felt much of an impact.

It doesn't matter, because I can't tell which one it is and thus don't know how to use it.

The little perk symbol shows up in the bottom right of your screen when you're in the Boon zone. If it has a cross in it then it's CoH, if it has a foot then it's SS. I can't remember what the other two boon perks look like lol

Well, that's true, but that's only by the time you're there. If I'm in chase and I see a boon totem, I can lead the killer there in the hope that it's Shadow Step, but I wouldn't know before I get there. And if it's CoH, I've just run the risk of interrupting a heal.
Conversely, if I need healing and run across the map to Shadow Step, I'll just have wasted a ton of extra time.

You see the aura of injured team mates if they're in a CoH boon, so you wouldn't interrupt a heal thankfully. That would also be the best tell that CoH is in play.
But I may just run both anyway and see how I go

I think most players probably assume right away that itβs CoH if they see a boon pop up. Any additional boons matched up with it are probably situational but can still be helpful.

I think so too. I don't really see boons much anymore and I know both Resilience and Distortion are popular atm, so I figured maybe people would like the aura hiding of SS rather than the healing of CoH. I think I might run both for a bit and see how I go.

Circle of Healing.
Then exponential.
Then shadow step.
Then dark theory.
I generally expect if a boon goes up its going to be CoH.

Pretty much this. CoH counters anti healing and gives you empathy. Super nice and booning still gives a lot of BP.
