Please nerf Ultimate Weapon ASAP I know it's on the list, but push it forward I beg of you.

It has the same problem as Windows of Opportunity except cranked up to 100, it literally plays the game for you. 0 time wasted finding Survivors means it's nearly impossible to lose tbh, and it only incentives tunneling even more since you can just tell by the sound of the scream who it is. The fact that Calm Spirit, a nearly useless, damn near detrimental perk has become a top 10 perk simply because of this one overpowered perk that also inflicts blindness for 30 seconds for some reason tells you all you need to know. Information is the strongest tool in DBD, and Ultimate Weapon is just absolutely too much for too little. Killers have to spend 3 seconds opening a locker for the strongest information tool in the game + a free debuff. This perk shares a similar problem with Made for This, as in they never should have even made it out of PTB, and certainly shouldn't last this long after they are very clearly a problem.

The problem is exacerbated even more when it's used on already too strong of killers like Blight and Nurse. Which again, is the exact same problem MFT had, it made weaker killers weaker and stronger killers didn't even know it existed. Ultimate Weapon is just strong when used by most killers but is just unfair as all hell when used on Blight, Nurse, Wesker, Chucky, really any killer that has a way of getting to you quickly AKA all the very strong killers.

It's a serious problem and I'm finding myself not wanting to play games when I see the 17th Blight in a row who is using the exact same Perk setup who is ready to hard tunnel someone to oblivion with 0 counterplay, and while Blight is OP on his own, Ultimate Weapon genuinely turns it into an unwinnable situation that is making me want to quit playing all together. When I play Killer I feel like I'm purposefully handicapping myself by not using it, and when playing Survivor I just groan, get irritated and find myself forcing myself to keep playing unless one of my teammates gives up (which happens more than not when this perk is in play btw) when I see it nearly every game.

TLDR: Ultimate Weapon is a problematic perk that should never have existed and makes already strong killers nearly unbeatable and makes me want to stop playing the game.

I find it problematic only on fast killers, where they can just force it to trigger on everyone.

I would just make it disable few seconds after first scream, but that's about it.

While it's true that UW is indeed a bit too good on the top-tier Killers (like most good perks unfortunately, and it's sad that two of the few good perks that M1 Killers can use well but that the powerhouses can't use as well might get killed because people complained after parroting other people's complaining), I'd rather not rush and kill another perk instead of making it healthier without effectively deleting it from the game. We have some great things announced like DS and Grim Embrace updates (likely buffs) but the aim shouldn't be to kill good perks, just bring them in line with other good perks. Too many perks on both sides were killed instead of adjusted.

I honestly think that the uptime is the main issue, it's simply too easy to keep the entire team blind most of the game while interrupting actions. I'm hesitating between maybe a token-based system (like one or more tokens would be given for every hook which would make the first chase a tad harder to start and would keep the game moving) or perhaps an increase in cooldown/reduced uptime. Maybe a bit of both? It's a bit overtuned but it's not too bad outside of the top-tiers and perks should still be viable enough to be used by weaker Killers. If every good perks gets nuked and only top-tiers can compete when climbing the MMR ladder then Killer variety will drop and I do NOT want to only face the same 5 Killers.

Side-sad-note: Calm Spirit actually doesn't do much, whenever I use UW sometimes I just see a bubble/notification show up (similar to the ones that appear when Rancor triggers after a gen is completed and reveal Survivors' locations) but hear no scream and I eventually discovered that those were Calm Spirit users in the post-game screen/chat. It doesn't hide your location, just mutes you, if the Killer is already looking in your direction when you enter his TR then a big bubble will still show up and tell him where you are. It does help if you were out of his FOV/he is mid-chase since without sound it is hard to notice and the bubble doesn't last very long.

Meanwhile, Ultimate Weapon STILL isn't in the top 3 killer tracking perks. STILL ISN'T TOP 3! Why are we even comparing this to Windows of Opportunity, is which literally the most picked perk in the entire game? Like around 33.333% of survivors use Windows, and less than 10% of killers are using Ultimate Weapon?

If this really is an overpowered perk, then why is the pickrate still super low? If someone told me that Shadowborn is more popular than Ultimate Weapon, I'd totally believe it.

I don't even see people run it anymore I think wanting it nerfed is just a knee jerk reaction at this point because everyone has seemingly moved on

I can assure you not everyone who was using this perk was in a SWF if they fully knew what they were doing

and also the reply has nothing to do with Ultimate weapon it’s just a reminder that a perk doesn’t need high pickrates in order to be overpowered

OoO was the strongest tool as it always gave you info on the killers whereabouts yet it had downsides and always had low pickrates but in the end it still needed and deserved its nerf

OOO was absolutely way more useful in a 3-4 SWF with voice comms, which is why the pick rate was low.

If Ultimate Weapon is the most overpowered info perk, then why is the pick rate low? We have SO MANY forum threads complaining about killers being super sweaty, and purposely tryharding, and everything else, but for whatever mysterious reason they aren't all flocking to Ultimate Weapon???? What is the secret?!?

It was escape rate not pickrate and killers cannot get tunneled by survivors to make the winrate drop lol

most perk on killer that are overpowered tend to be overpowered universally on every killer. UW has been out for awhile and it is not having outstanding use-rate.

OoO was over-tuned perk for SWF but ineffective for average soloq. perks like that for killer tend to be perks that synergize with killer power but are not universally useful on all other killers. An example of that was Starstruck Nurse. the perk exist in vacuum where they strong in their 1 specific synergy but end up as outliers in all other cases.

UW is not falling in OoO category or over-dominate I see it on every killer every game category. the perk is a generic tracking perk with good gameplay value.

It was low on both if I remember correctly not most solo players were risking to run it and it was mostly common on SWFs

I see old object more of a busted info perk that provided too much unnecessary info and had low pickrates that’s why I see it almost similar to UW

I just had a match where the killer was using Ult Weapon and No-ed. I was cracking the totem and I had it 99 then I had to stop and scream and got killed because of it. For absolutely no reason, I just lost an easy match because a killer looked in a locker and went to their totem. I feel it should be token based. Either on hooks or gens being completed. And the blindness doesn't really make sense to me but it's not that problematic.

Went up against a Blight with Ultimate Weapon and Dead Man Switch. After hook, he'd open a locker and run around and all gens would get blocked, 'cause we'd scream. I think I saw vid of a nurse in competitive scene use this combo too.

I don't mind the info read, or the perk on it's own. But the UW+DMS combo feels unfair in particular.
