Camping

Maybe it’s just me and my team but since they started the anti-camping it has not worked in my opinion. The kills just move right outside the radius and wait and then tunnel out of the game. The tunneling in my opinion agin as increased along with camping. Has anyone else experienced and do the creator have any plans to correct this?

Nothing they do is going to work until they implement a point deduction for every 1-5 seconds spent inside 16m and not in a chase or using insidious. With kindred, you can see when some goober stands still before they fade. Even if you don't have it, when it's been nearly a minute and no one else is in a chase, if should be assumed the killer is being lazy.

Technically they already reduce your medal points if you camp so you're less likely to pip. what 'points' are you referring to?

If a killer just stands outside the radius, then that gives the other survivors a far better chance at getting the unhook than if they're standing right there.

Bubba is his own issue with regards to camping and needs changes to his chainsaw power when near a hook but for nearly every other killer it's much healthier this way.

There's really nothing that needs to be done for proxy camping until chasing is actually rewarding whether it be increasing the power of 115s or making maps actually balanced.

People aren't camping to get points anyway so that wouldnt work either. People camp and tunnel because they want to win the most efficient way possible against alutristic teams. Both are valid strats. If the haste value immediately when hit off hook was greater then bubba wouldn't be able to follow up with another chainsaw sweep. As it currently works bubba can instantly just down both the rescuer and the person unhooked because hes faster than the BT haste.

The system works really well against face camping, which is what is was designed for.

Since the change, I have been facecamped only twice (excluding endgame), it definitely has done its job. It is nice that facecamping is gone, but the unfortunate side effect is that it led killers who were facecamping to use the more effective strategy: proxy camping. Usually paired with tunneling, it is almost as miserable while also being stronger so I understand your complaint.

In the meantime, run kindred, kinship, or reassurance to make it less effective, that's about all you can do.

They only fix the problems at it's extreme case, such as BT prevents hit off hook, AFC prevents stay right next to hook without any downside, anti 3 Gens only work against killers that totally refuse to chase. You're not going to get value out of it most of the time.

Choy did a video about this. It explains what the anti-face camping feature actually does, how to avoid it as a killer, and how to be aware of it as a survivor (Kindred will actually hurt your team if everyone thinks "oh they can unhook themselves" but they can't.)

They need to change it so you can't use 2n power within so many meters of hook but you can still m1 obviously.
