Hatch escapes and pips

When I'm pushing red rank it is hard to get pips. But I often like letting the last survivor go. Especially if they are funny or a great runner that gave me some fun chases. I feel like a jerk when the game is almost over and they give me their item and try to play nice and I can't let them go because red rank pips are so hard to get sometimes even with a 4k. Can hatches stop affecting pips for ranking purposes? I won't always play nice with the last survivor but I would like to be able to.

    yeah, the pip system is so #########. If survivors kill themselves on hook and u win after 3 minutes you wont get pip. I mean, i killed ALL OF THEM why i dont get pip??

    same happen as survivor. You can be running from killer for 5 gens and escape and you wont get pip just because u didnt rescue and repair.

    its so dumb
