Please stop putting me against way better survivors.

I literally can't play Plague or Pig because I ALWAYS get put against far better players when I wanna play them.

I thought MMR between killers was supposed to be at least close to each other but it seems my MMR on both killers is way higher because I always end up against people I simply can't beat. I'm lucky to even get a single hook.

I don't really know what do besides tanking my MMR on purpose but I shouldn't need to do that.

    you have to keep "losing"

MMR does need to be scrapped in total- It's what is currently making the game very unfriendly to beginning players because it's extremely easy for your MMR to suddenly spike up which is why it's easy for beginning players to get stuck with ONLY experienced sweat lords who don't know what a shower is which is what kills the fun for many people.

For example: If you "win" your first ever match on DBD the MMR system is gonna immediately put you all the way at the top because your Win:Loss ratio is currently at 100%:0% and this is why it's EXTREMELY hard to lower your MMR if you've played for a long time because if you have way more wins than you do with losses then you're gonna have to keep intentionally losing until you have more losses than wins like if you had 47 wins and 16 losses you'd have to bring your losses up to at least 47 to balance out your MMR which can give y'all an understanding of why this becomes worst over time.

MMR between killers is only close in the instance you buy a new killer - the starting MMR is determined based on the MMRs of your other killers.

I have blight at "high MMR" but also have billy at low MMR because I was practicing curving and throwing games - every hillbilly game I play has survivors with less than 4 perks, yellow perks, less than 50 hours on steam, etc.

you have to lose a LOT to start getting noticeably less skilled lobbies.

That's not how mmr works (not that it really works well). There is no ratio. You have a certain base value and depending on your opponents mmr you get points that increases or decreases your value. And there are certain threshold that you wont get matched with.

Daily reminder that MMR isn't real and matchmaking only exists to gaslight you into thinking you suck

    MMR is so strange.

Sometimes i get a lobby with 30k hours survivor, i win this game and the very next game is against beginners.

Also winning feels like no MMR impact at all. I lost 1 single game with Wekser so far (cant tell how many games, but it was the equivalent of 5 Million Bloodpoints) and i come across baby survivors who play like they have 50 hours.

Can we just have MMR removed and only focus on Pip please? It was better and much more fun back then.

The Survivors scare me more than the Killer lol

Except for Doctor. He’s the exception.

I don’t think tanking your MMR would do anything and I don’t think the problem is MMR. I think the problem is that there are not enough suitably skilled killers to be matched against the skilled survivors and matchmaking widens its parameters and in order to have shorter Queues.

The solution is difficult because they’d have to make playing killer more attractive than it currently is for new players. Maybe even advertise the game more. I don’t watch tv anymore and I gave adblockers out the wazoo for my browser so I don’t see commercials anymore. Do they even have dbd commercials?

The tin foil hat in me is more sinister and suggests it’s all intentional so the SWFs who spend $$ on cosmetics can be more happy with their wins and play/buy more. But I’ll file this under intrusive thoughts.

I feel you, I'm new at killer and get nothing but bully squads thay easily destroy me. MMR is absolutely useless.

There are likely more killers operating at higher MMR than survivors. Krazzik’s experience seems exceptional. If survivors were in anyway outpacing killers then the 60/40 ratio would be for survivor wins versus killer wins. But that isn’t the case. They need to make survivor the more attractive role hence the recent (over the last 12-18 months) installation of base kit features that address major survivor gripes.

This is odd because have the opposite issue. I get destroyed when I play survivor in solo queue. I still get matched with Blights and Nurse with thousands of hours no matter how many times I lose. My teammates stay mediocre but the killers don't. It's like low or mid MMR killers don't even exist and the game puts us into matches outside of our collective skill level. On the other hand I rarely lose these days on killer. As if there are not enough teams good enough to beat me when I am sweating. This doesn't change regardless of how many games I win either. There is also zero consistency. One game is a competent team and the next is people who have no idea what they're doing. I think the MMR system is just bad and doesn't work unless you are on the extreme low end of the spectrum.

MMR is not based on a win/loss ratio, where did you hear that?

This… I play one game and I’m fighting to get 2/4 hooks but the next match…. They give me 2 hour megs and Claudettes.
