My honest opinion.
Playing killer is in a really good spot right now but survivor... well
Survivor is starting too go downhill FAST, like dead hard got nerfed (which imo was needed but still) selfcare got NERFED into the ground which still makes absolutely no sense to me like.. you want survivors doing other things then gens yet take self healing out so now they pretty much have nothing else too do so now THEY'RE gonna do more gens but not only that but they nerfed medkits too then they nerfed toolboxs and CoH (which also was needed) and now with the alan wake chapter the perks are really useless for older players like for new players could be p good don't get me wrong but another chapter with no really good perks for survivor yet killers are getting banger perks after banger perks it's crazy.
I know killers don't have it the best either right now (*cough* *cough* onryo) but they still have it alot better rn.
And obviously not everyone is going to agree with me but I wanted to make this discussion too see if others agree with me.

With the FOV slider, it allows me to equip an extra perk to replace Shadowborn so I'd agree that killer is in a solid place right now. Solo queue on the other hand is experiencing the effects big time.

They need to fix it fast or a majority of the soloq players are gonna quit

I'm sweating in every match as hard as your local Singularity main to get 2ks as Sadako :D
I'm dying inside.

I think the game is in the most balanced state its ever been in. I understand the pain of solo que players, but thats just the way all multiplayer games go. Parties will always be stronger then solo que.
Two thing I can think of is reverting DS back to five seconds and MAYBE making kindred baskit, but other then that I have to ask, what more can we give to to solo que playerts at this point? Anti face camp, basekit BT, the new gen regression rework to prevent three gens, nerfs to gen regression perks across the board, a way for all survivors to see when another survivor is in chase, showing all survivors what specific action another survivor is doing at all times, solo que has gotten a lot of help over the years. The one other thing they tried was basekit unbreakable, but that PTB it was tried in showed why that should never be attempted again.

I would like to see then give DS back to 5 seconds with a hundred effect that blocks special attacks for 10 seconds. I’d make it automatic too with not skill check. I think that would be a start to improve things

Ah, this old song. There's ebb and flow, and with it comes the "all the survs/killers are gonna quit!", or just wait a while, killer/surv mains, your queue will be an hour long soon!" refrains. How many times have we heard it? Too many. Never happens.
6.1.0 was a doozy, I had it on good authority all the solo queue survs were gonna quit if most of the changes weren't reverted. They weren't, and they didn't (or at least no more quit than came into the game).
Don't get me wrong, I empathize with you, but the sands are constantly shifting, and it won't be long before the shoe is on the other foot. Or you'll quit and be replaced by a baby potato, and the circle of life will continue.
My advice is to bench her until the next (alleged) round of changes. She's in a rough state. Onryo is my favorite killer, but I'm not wasting my inventory pissing into the wind here.
Meanwhile, Blight gets "nerfed" and is somehow just as good (or better). Funny how that works.

Yeah, solo queue is simply miserable. Thankfully I am just trying to complete the archives, so that has been my goal. I'm not even trying to escape in solo queue anymore. Most games someone will go down instantly, or give up on first hook, or disconnect. If you do manage to get a game without a quitter, you get tunnelling/camping killers, and survivors who are allergic to generators.
I don't really blame them, killer is in a really good spot at the moment, and they only got more powerful. This is coming from someone who has 2.4k hours with 50/50 being survivor/killer. The last time I felt the game was in this state was in 6.1.0 and the following Wesker update, when they nerfed survivors and buffed killers across the board.

Oh I trust me I know how this game works I've been playing since 2019 and back then it was very survivor sided but nowadays it seems they wanna take everything fun for survivors and destroy it I mean i heard their gonna change adrenaline... ADRENALINE (imo) one of the most balanced perks in the game and ik they didnt say they were gonna nerf it but... i mean its bhvr theyre gonna nerf it.
they need to make a reason why survivors should want to continue playing the game (mainly soloq) cause I mean with killers atleast there's always something new (powers) that can be pretty fun (chucky, hillbilly) but for survivor it just seems they want to nerf EVERYTHING
I mean the last fun thing I could think of for survivor would be ftp+buckle up and even that isn't really fun

Queue times are lightning fast.
Every killer tonight has camped and tunneled.
I'm experiencing horrible trials at a record rate.

The Self-Care nerf is one of life's greatest mysteries

I hope they improve her kit so you don’t have to sweat as hard.

Survivor is in a pretty bad spot right now. You're basically dead if you go down before 3 gens are done. Anti-tunnel is kind of meaningless when all the killer has to do is proc your Endurance. I didn't think killer was ever in a bad enough spot to warrant 90 second gens. I wasn't losing killer games before that. Certainly not losing killer games now if I'm paying attention.

To be fair, 6.1.0 was a terrible patch. There is so much wrong with it that it is hard to know where to start.
It didn't cause a massive loss of players, but it definitely had the potential to.

I have been eating great with the recent billy buff, but from doing the tome challenges today I have experienced crap that makes me realize why I hate solo queue. Been tryna be extra nice in my matches and play bubba. I know people are probably sick of getting Billy over and over again as well.

theres really only a few things that will make solo Q be SO much better to play. those things are..
- The survivor HUD displaying the progress of each action a survivor is doing. meaning that if someone's cleansing a totem, theres a little bar around the circle icon showing the progress (like when someone's working on a generator).
- Making Kindred basekit. at the very least just make it so if somebody is hooked, everybody is able to see everyone's aura. being able to see the killers aura may be a bit overtuned, unless its reduced to either 8 or 12 meters.
- Whenever the Exit Gates are powered, survivors are able to see the aura of exit gates in a range of 128 meters (basically making 'Wake Up!' partially basekit).
- Allow survivors to see each others perks. whether it be on like a little drop down menu or something.
- Remove the ability for killers to see prestige levels until after a game is over, and make it so killers can't open steam profiles until after a game is over.
- Buff DS to remove the timer, but if somebody is hooked, disable the perk until its able to be activated again, it still deactivates upon conspicuous actions. maybe even increase the duration of the stun from 3 to 4 or 5 seconds.
doing these would genuinely be beneficial for solo Q while not making SWF's even more of an annoyance.

I have no problem with sweating in dbd. I like to play good. It feels rewarding.
Sadako doesn't feel rewarding. The player has to do way more than the opponents.
The power is so undertuned that one has to outperform by a mile to get value against good survivors.

Eh, 6.1.0 wasn't that bad; it did a lot of things that desperately needed to be done. The problem was, as it often is, is that BHVR always puts one foot in front of the other and never are both in the same place. Either surv is in a great place and killer is in a bad place, or vice versa.
6.1.0 was a patch that did a lot for killers that needed to be done, but it left survs compromised. That said, there was a massive overreaction from many because some heavily used crutches were pulled out years too late.
I said at that time that the changes were jarring, but everything was working toward balance, even if in a really uneven fashion. Then survs started getting things (the HUD, slowdown meta getting blown up), but now survs are getting the (really) short straw, and the killers are in an advantaged position.
I think BHVR is generally moving things in a good direction, but their pacing really, really sucks. It just seems like we can't get both sides in a decent place at the same time.

Facts! This game has been in survivors favor for a loooooooooooong time. We are just now getting them balanced out.

When playing against a good killer the rounds are mostly a miserable experience, especially when you play with friends that aren’t playing dbd much. Recent map reworks made everything only worse! Also most survivor perks are just weak or in an ok spot, but there is no strong one. The survivor meta is terrible bad right now and if they nerf it more there is no point in playing survivor. They should finally bring all killers in a good spot, so they can‘t use bad killers as excuse of nerfing survivor always.

I agree with this for sure.

The soloq experiece for me right now has been watching a teammate get tunneled out at 4 gens left and then have to deal with the killer still having 3 Pain Res uses left with only 3 survivors remaining. Pretty much an unwinnable situation for soloq.
I don't mind Pain Res being strong, I could even tolerate it being strong in soloq, IF it doesn't work when the killer just tunnels someone out early. It is just too strong of a regression perk to synergize so well with tunneling.
Perks like Grim Embrace and Pain Res should be strong since they encourage hook spreading, but lets actually have killers using these strong perks be forced to hook spread rather than just tunneling 1 survivors and then reaping all the benefits.
