Why isn’t making survivors bleed out on floor bannable?
Comments
-
Just make hatch a kill and give survivors the option to give up after a 1 minute bleed out/suicide option.
4 minutes is ridiculous and people who play killer abuse it to grief players.

You are incorrect about this. If you kill a survivor your rating will change from The Entity Hungers to Brutal Killer to Relentless to Merciless for each one killed. Bleed one out and you don't get that rating. The game simply does not count them as kills, you don't get points, can't complete any adepts, do any daily or tome missions if you bleed the survivors out. There is no benefit to killers for doing this.

so get this the killer downs me and another surv is nearby i crawl away and since he is in the area nobody can pick me up and he cant find me so i die on the ground that person just got banned for no reason
2 -
Close hatch and give them a free escape, no im not going to cross half the map to find the hatch for them to crawl and hide somewhere else and waste my time might as well make it feel like its on their time instead

Sure. Are you going to sit and review the reports? Or are you going to design a program to do it, while making sure not to ban killers who had no other choice
3 -
Not even. In many situations you don't have a choice and need to bleed out a survivor:
- body blocked and can't grab anymore
- no hook at proximity
- survivor has a "fun" build
On another hand there is never any technical reason for crouching up and down frenetically.

All my friends quit DBD over a year ago because they were sick of toxic killers ruining the game for them. I've been playing solo since then. And no, I don't run boil over anymore and rarely use flashlights. Boil over rarely gives any return without the help of breakout from another player. Flashlights are mostly only effective if you time it when the killer picks someone up. Most killers just simply look up to avoid them.

No he bled us both out. We both died right next to hooks.

I’ll take that £20 now please

Why would they put an intentional mechanic in the game and ban people for using it?
1 -
they have a 2 minute version.

If you want any sympathy, post an unedited entire match where a killer does this so we can see why.

You know, having the hatch be a kill would be an interesting idea.
Basically the game keeps track of your contribution to your team, and if it's past a certain threshold, its an escape. But if its under that metric, the entity skewers you out of midair as you try to jump into it. You wouldn't know which you were until you take that leap. Keys maybe bypass this check entirely, giving them a bit more usefulness.
Most people's issue with the hatch is when it is undeserved, after all. If someone played well in spite of their team they earned their chance at escape, while if they just waited out their teammates they deserve to share their fate. Would be interesting to try in a PTB. Would take a bit of tinkering to get a metric people could agree on, maybe making it so you have to at least pip or something.

"Make it feel like it's on their time instead" summarises the whole reason toxicity exists. Cycle of revenge.

Its their choice to wiggle out and waste the time I give them a chance, the buck stops at them when they decide to be toxic and expect something for free im simply ending the match on my terms

so no arguments anymore? ok.
it does if they do it instead of leaving the game, and just don't leave until you go watch it for some reason. also never said they are mechanically the same.
dickmove is fair. it's annoying when there's no reason for it. don't know what exactly you decided to defend here...
why is it a competition? toxic is toxic.
survivors can farm gens and get survival bp for surviving. + bones. unless I missed something don't think you can get hurt by yourself... but survivors still get something to do. they can play and get points.
so don't really see any meaningful difference here

They quit in a time of DBD where anti camp and unhook protections weren't even a thing. It was a lot easier in those times for killers to abuse camping and tunneling. Even as a SWF team we were only able to deal with these situations effectively maybe half the time. I've tried to convince them several times to come back. Even with all of the changes since then, they're still not interested. Keep in mind these are people who played DBD from the very beginning.

Now you just have to explain me how a slugged Survivor can do Totems or Gens.
1 -
that sounds really dumb because what if a survivor goes in corner of the map where there is no one to hook? you would lose rating. in any case, those rating were based off emblem system but at some point, they changed them for the purposes of Adept achievements.

i spam vaulted and didn't leave until the last second of egc against a pinkie finger camping clown, and i bled out a survivor that wouldn't leave ormond main and clicked their flashlight from up there every time i went there; i tunneled their teammate JUST to make sure that creature doesn't win. in another match on garden i camped every single hook and ofc proceeded to tunnel after realizing anyone i see would just w key to main.
everyone here is arguing the legitimate reasons for slugging, if it's (or should be) bannable and whatnot but i just want to remind everyone that if you annoy a player, you'll have to deal with an annoyed player, be that a teammate going next or a toxic opponent. i don't want to victim-blame so i'm obviously excluding people that act like d***s just to be d***s, but if you are treated in a way constantly, think a bit more critically. call it luck but the worst thing killers do to me is hitting on hook.
there should be a "go next" option if left on the ground for a set amount of time but hatch needs to go first for that.

Then bring unbreakable forehead or the other self res perks??

I'm saying the slugged survivor got to play the game. even if the killer just afk they can't deny points to the survivors.
