Back after long break of 2 years... How are things going now?
I stopped playing the game when it was around the time of Artist.. And now I'm back to see how things goes!
I mainly play killers, and I just played a few games. It seems lots of things have changed..
So can anyone share some tips for me? Any important changes that affects the whole game? So far I only noticed BT is a basekit now, and I just read from the post here that there's a limit on kicking gens, but not sure how it works.
Any help is greatly appreciated😁
Edit:
Ah yes, I forgot to ask. So many killers have been added into the game after Artist... So who's the most fun and unique to get though?😅

Hook grab is gone
Anti-Facecamp Mechanic is introduced
Anti-3 gen is introduced by limiting to damage gens by 8 times per gen. Instead, basekit genkick damage is increased to 5% and gen tapping is also removed by requiring survivors to repair 5% to stop regression.
From the killers you don't own, I think Wesker is the most fun killer

If you love dash type killers = Wesker and Chucky. They both are my favorite killers tho.
Knight and SM are pretty boring killers but they have different powers. But Knight has Nowhere to Hide and Hibris. Both perks are good, so you can get him for his perks.
Dredge and Sadako are teleport type killers. Sadako also has mori mechanic in her kit, she is not too strong but fun killer. Dredge also has Nightfall mechanic and a bit anti-loop. I am not fan of him tho.
Xeno is Nemesis v2 but you don't have Nemesis either, But you know how is Nemesis. Xeno is just better version of him with teleport power as well.
Larry is the most unique killer here. He has very different and fun power but i should warn you, he is not easy. He is one of the hardest killers to master.
Current killer meta perks are PR from Artist and Pop from Clown. So that did not change too much but a lot perks nerfed and buffed. So you maybe check perk changes to see all of them.
Other important changes:
3-gen issue addressed with gen tapping as well. Now survivors need to repair gen for 5% to stop regres. And also kicking gens is removing 5% progress which is nice buff to gen kicking.
Also anti-face camp added. So if you facecamp survivors, they will unhook themself. Even in second hook. You can check details in patch notes. This did not effect proxy camp, so this strat is still strong as before.

I'd recommend dredge though it gets a lot harder the higher your mmr is.
Oh yeah MMR is now a thing but it doesn't work well.
Tunneling a survivor out of the game unprovoked at 5 gens is currently at it's peak and it's killing the game. Many players I know already left the game for good because it is so boring.
Builds are stale, everyone uses this:
I recommend to try "lights out" game mode before it's gone. To put it simple, no perks, add-ons, terror radius or scratch marks. Maps are very dark and you cannot see further then ~16 meters. It's the most fun I had in months in dbd.

Thanks for writing so much mate! It's really helpful!
Btw, the anti-facecamp was just introduced in this patch?

That's quite a good statistic! Where did you get it from?

I would say singularity is hard, but fun when you get a hang of his power. Knight is pretty buggy, but if you can get past that he's pretty fun to use.

A website called nightlight https://nightlight.gg It s for unofficial statistics but you also can install custom packs which changes your perk symbols to your liking. It's a cool project
