What if the creature in the trailer isn’t the next killer?
What if it’s actually a survivor that’s been altered by the actual killers power and it’s a new form of slowdown for the killer? Hmm? Maybe that was Dwight looking for help and teammates have to do something to them in order to revert them?
I could totally be wrong, I admit, but I think it could be interesting. I don’t remember all the other teaser trailers for Original Killers, did any of them have actual footage of the killer like this one does?

Technically the Twins teaser had Victor in it but it was so fast nobody could of guessed that what we were seeing was for legal purposes "not a baby" which is why I'm skeptical, not that I don't think that was the killer but I'm skeptical that was it's true form.

I’m skeptical as well. I feel like BHVR threw us a curve ball and no one realizes it.

The simplest assumption is that the creature is the killer, but it's possible it could be something else. It could be something it does to the survivors like you suggest, like a kind of malforming disease they have to resist. Or, it could be a minion created by the killer, similar to Nemesis's zombies or Knight's guards. It could even be a combination of these things, because what it did to the people in the teasers is open to interpretation.
Does it kill people, eat them, and impersonate them? Does it infect them to turn it into more of itself? Does it invade and possess their bodies? We don't know. We'll find out in a couple of days.

It's gathering up more corpses for its skinsuit. It's looking forward to becoming more... complete. The next time we see it, God help us all if we hear familiar voices.

Oh, I think this chapters teasers are the best that they’ve ever done as well. It’s fantastic that there were no leaks and the suspense is killing me (which I like for some reason).
I do hope the killer is a creature/monster type with some stealth/jumpscare built in. We have enough humanoid killers and it’s about time for another sneaky killer.

I didn’t think about it being like Tentacle Daddy’s Zombies. That makes sense. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

I will laugh so hard that after all the cryptid style teasers the actual killer is an alien that's mutating people and it's actually another sci-fi chapter.
That would be 1000x more misleading than Skull Merchant ever was.

Aliens can be cryptids. A lot of alien sighting stories aren't much different from cryptid sightings. Mothman could've been an alien, the Flatwoods Monster, the Hopkinsville Goblins, etc. I don't think it coming from space really makes a difference if it's still doing the same scary stuff, the results are horrifying either way. Though I will be disappointed if the killer isn't equally creepy to the monsters shown in the teasers.

I remember everyone was sure it was a Wendigo and lots of people were convinced it was an Until Dawn chapter lol iirc it was just his little hand or something

I feel like every time we get a possible forest creature chapter everyone automatically goes Wendigo and then automatically goes it must be an until dawn collab right after lol.
Not for nothing the Wendigos in that game didn't do anything interesting enough to flesh out a power.

People just make assumptions without really thinking things through. That thing is clearly the Loch Ness Monster. The forest obviously contains a lake. It all just makes sense.

I was wondering the same. Plenty of comments about it being able to mimic sounds (survivors) so perhaps it will be a power that corrupts the survivor and turns them into a potato player briefly.
They do like a curveball after all
Blight - People thought it was a werewolf
Twins - People said its a creature on all fours, so likely a wendingo.
Skull Merchant - No explanation needed 😅

Whatever it is, I hope it’s spoopy and can scare survivors. Scratches Mirror needs some competition.
