Survivors are keep getting garbage content
We are getting new fun killers ( Chucky, Xeno, Larry ). UW and Friends Until End are good and fun perks. GE also buffed and now it's meta too.
Billy also buffed to very fun level. Sadako is in good spot right now, she is really so fun after her last rework.
I am not complaining about killer content. But we are getting nothing but garbage for survivors.
Ellen got bad perks, there was amazing suggestions for make them viable. But no. Ignored. And now nobody uses them.
Gabriel got MfT and it nuked to ground. This perk deserved to be nerfed tho but still Gabriel did not give us any good perk. Non of his perks are seeing in trials.
Alan Wake got with amazing bad perks. If i would rank survivors by their perks Alan Wake would sit on F tier. And sad thing, there was really good suggestions for his perks as well but nothing happened ofcourse. Even his first week, i did not see anyone uses his perks. Even Champion of Light.
There was chance to make Quick Gambit viable but no, we only got meh number tweaks and called it a day. Ofcourse this perk is still dead as before.
Survivors are getting bad and bad content, nothing good. Tomorrow is PTB and we all know new survivor will have another 3 garbage perks nobody will use.
We are getting tweaks for few killers for next update and some of them are really excited. But what survivors are getting? Nothing.
Again, i am not complaining about killers are getting good content. But problem is that, survivors are not getting enough content. It feels like BHVR is just don't care about survivors.

Sadako is garbage tier killer now along side with Trapper/Shape/Freddy
15 -
Yeah, she is not.
She is in my roaster and i am getting a lot 4Ks. Ofcourse she is not killer for everyone, she is best hit & run killer atm.
18 -
See, the problem is that the perks you're talking about aren't bad. (Mostly.)
Ellen got Light-Footed, a really strong stealth/chase perk, as well as the reasonably strong and fun to use Chemical Trap. Even Lucky Star, which is a little under-tuned, still does something useful and worthwhile.
Gabriel got the ultra strong MFT, sure, but he also got the strong and useful Troubleshooter. Scavenger less so, sure, but two out of three ain't bad.
Alan Wake launched with one super strong perk, Champion of Light, and then his other two perks are reasonably useful but less strong.
The fact of the matter is that survivors have all released with at least one (but normally two) good strong perks, the content survivors are getting lately is not abysmal. This is a community perception issue, not a game design issue.

She in now impossible to get fully condemned survivor. Pre ptb sadako was much stronger. Now she is literally useless cause survivors just turn all Tv off and you just m1 killer without any ability
3 -
No, she is not. You need to be smart with your teleports. I am still getting a lot mori kills. Even if i don't get any time to time, it's still gives me good slowdown because survivors getting nervous of stacks and trying to remove them.
3 -
she is bad. are you dying to sadako as survivor?
10 -
exactly new sadako one of the weakerst killer devs ever created. Even trapper make more serious threat cause survivors cant delete his ability of the game
3 -
I feel like suggesting running 3% faster is "fun" is uuuhhhh kind of a low bar. Are we asking for more meta perks or more fun perks?
Because I'd argue Champion of Light is fun for people that liked running flashlights and Background Player anyway, Nicholas Cage's perks are all pretty entertaining, Chem Trap is interesting and the idea is there it's just in practice it doesn't pan out the way you'd think.
If you're asking for more meta perks yeah I admit it's been a minute since we get a really good one that doesn't wind up getting nerfed but I get why it's hard to make meta perks for survivor cuz if you make one the killer has to face it 4 times at the same time most likely so I get it.
3 -
Look, i love ideas behind perks but they just have so much downside.
Light-Footed is fun perk but 2 downsides is so much. It should work when you are injured as well or it should not be in cooldown if you are fast vault. 2 downsides is so much for this perk.
Chemical Trap would be fun perk but why killer is seeing it? This just makes this perk garbage on all pallets, except of god ones.
Troubleshooter is pretty meh perk. When you drop pallet, most times killer is breaking it. What i would do with killer's aura when seeing they just breaking it. Scavenger is bad perk but this perk should not be buffed.
Champion of Light is strong perk? But yet, nobody uses it. I stopped use it as well because of long cooldown. It has only one use in chase. His other perks are terrible bad. Dejavu is so much better than his boon perk and his other perk is just so meh. If it was working with full health, i'd use it. But asking you to be injured, it's just so much downside again.
And non of those perks are seeing in trials, i am rarely seeing anyway.
Survivors deserves some decent content because we are still playing with same perks. I am not even asking new meta perk but some new viable perks would so wellcome. But no, BHVR just loves to add too much downsides to this type perks.
12 -
This.
Seems like "not garbage" perk is only something game breaking level.
Quick Gambit literally can't be buffed more, it's already strong perk on indoor maps and stupidly strong on Gideon.
Lucky Star is very underrated perk for soloq. And Light-Footed could be very useful.
Champ of Light is super strong perk and crazy strong in SWF.
Cage had two perks, which became one of my most loved.
Troubleshooter saved my butt in so many 50/50.
Background player was overbuffed.
Cut Loose not amazing, but sometimes very useful perk.
Mikaela wants your drama.
15 -
I don't play survivor too much anymore since BHVR just gives them only nerfs or meh content. I am mostly playing killer. And Sadako is one of the my killers. And i don't feel weak when i play her.

I think your standards might be too high, I understand that it sucks that there's no meta shake up but for gimmicks and memes there a lot of decent options.

I don't even necessarily disagree with your sentiment but claiming Boon: Illumination is "reasonably useful" really undercuts your message.
That being said, I do think these survivor doomposts are a tad bit early as there should be a survivor in the PTB tomorrow that could have a perk that actually sees actual use and not just hypothetical "could be good on paper if you squint" use.
7 -
Light-Footed has two restrictions because of how powerful its effect is. Silent running is very strong, people underrate how important audio tracking is for killers.
Killers see Chemical Trap so that you can actually play around it. There are a fair number of loops where the killer refusing to break the pallet makes the loop stronger, and Chemical Trap puts them in a lose/lose scenario at those loops. Doesn't have to be a god loop, just a safe one.
Troubleshooter is a good perk because it shows you the killer's aura and lets you avoid running the killer to your teammates in chase.
Champion of Light is a strong perk, yeah. I actually have seen people running it, but that's anecdotal and irrelevant- there's a big difference between "nobody runs this perk" and "this perk is bad".
People gotta stop comparing Illumination to Deja Vu, they have different niches. The boon is a nice support boon for boon builds/Overzealous, and it's nice to see the whole gen spread without downsides like Visionary. Easily the weakest, but still nice. As for Deadline, it is a little hampered by the injured requirement, but the strength is still quite high when it's active.
Whether people run then is wildly different to whether they're good, as evidenced by all the good perks people aren't running and the kinda bad ones people are running, like Windows of Opportunity.

So how is it possible that i playing Freddy (one of the weakest killer in the game) can get 3-4k but for Sadako or Nemeis even 1k is good (mayber because this 2 killers are complete garbage)

Everyone says this about killers that can easily ROFLstomp just because they lost to a 4-man SWAT team
1 -
the bar some people have is that the only good perks are S tier ones
5 -
There is a very small minority of people who will tell you that Rip, Wake, Gabe, even Renato and Thalita, etc. all had worthwhile perks that are “top tier,” when we’re all well aware these perks are nothing short of completely useless in a 4v1 against the buffed Killer trend you’ll be facing (or rather 3v1 after the first pawn is mercilessly Tunneled to a quick death), all w ‘4K or it’s a loss’ on the brain, driving the match.
Nobody uses this trash and escapes consistently.
Killer mains who hop onto their low MMR Survivor match once in a violet moon will be the first to try to sell you on these perks having any use. No big secret,🤫they don’t want Survivors getting anything useful that may become a threat to them.
I’m no Killer God, hardly even mid; but I hold my own without needing Survivors having weak perks to prevent my matches from menacing encounters vs them.
16 -
Even if they remove some of those downsides, non of them will be meta but it will be nice for people who want to play different perks.
And i respect your opinion but i hardly disagree, non of those perks have strong effect to have that much downsides.
Survivors are rarely getting good updates, the only new things they are getting some perk buffs and new perks. But non of them is good enough to play.
Like compare killer content with survivor content, one side is getting amazing new stuffs while other side is barely getting anything and it's not even good.
3 -
Wraith is the best Hit & Run Killer right now. Sorry.
1 -
Wraith is decent and i love to play him time to time. But i love Sadako more and i am better with her as well. Because Sadako is not only taking health state, she is also building stacks on survivors which gives her nice slowdown.
0 -
Survivors already have a good content. They can play with friends and have fun together. Survivors have more useful and fun perks to as than Killers. I can tell 20 perks immediately. On Killer everyone run slowdown - why? Because they want to play a match more than 4-5 minutes and use their Power many times. Survivors don't respect things they already have in the game.
2 -
Is it unfathomable to think that maybe people have good reason for disagreeing with you?
I mean hell, Renato unambiguously and objectively does have a top tier perk, but I'll grant it only became top tier after it was released.

LET HER OUT BEFORE SHE BAKES!

Survivors are all the same base kit. Only things you can change for them directly are perks or new game-mechanic changes, which at least one (usualy two) of these aspects you can see in every single patch. Also whenever a Killer gets nerfed or there is a change that helps Survivors, it is also buff for them.
Killers are unique and individual and there is LOT of them and each takes a different care.
It's not fair to compare these two roles. There are LOT of killers who deserve to be changed. Survivors is like a collective of one base kit. There is so much you can do compare to 30+ cast of different abilities compare to one ability.
5 -
Trapper is A Tier at minimum. Just so everyone knows. :)
0 -
I agree with your points but this is not excuse for terrible survivor perks.
And they are also ignoring killer-sided maps as well. Borgo is full with dead zones and they are doing nothing. Saloon and Midwich always got high kill-rates and super killer-side and they did nothing as well.
But then you are seeing they are giving buffs to Huntress and Blight, which never ever needed. Do we really needed to buff Huntress? Or give another op add-on to Blight?
Too many updates and we are barely getting anything for survivors. It feels like they just have nothing for survivors.
5 -
Maybe naughty bear but not trapper :)
0 -
Trash perks.
13 -
She's not. She's alright but needs further buffs.
0 -
I agree other than background player, none of the perks recently have been any good. They are just very mid. It is funny seeing people saying how perks like lightfooted and troubleshooter are good💀
7 -
What strong Perks Survivors have? Let's count: Adrenaline / Sprint Burst / Lithe / Balance Landing / Dead Hard / Resilence / Deja Vu / Windows Of Opportunity / Unbreakable / Deliverance / Hope / Background Player / Buckle Up / For The People / Distortion / Boon Exponential / Off The Record / Decisive Strike / Prove Thyself / Reasurrance / Second Wind / We'll Make It.
Additionally many of these perks are for free since the start. Killer has anything comparable to that...
Additionally 85% of maps are Survivor sided. Only 15% of maps are almost balanced (but they are not Killer Sided).
Survivors have strong items such a Comodious Toolbox with charges addons or Brand New Parts.
Blight right now is nerfed compared to Blight before Patch 7.5.0 and that's a fact.
4 -
What content exactly are you expecting? Survivors are all just skins and just add perks. I wouldn't even agree that perks are "content" because realistically, they could easily add a half dozen perks every week if they really wanted to since they are really just simple modifiers most of the time.
The "content" that survivors get, is new killers to play against.
You mention perks not being "viable" so in that realm, then all the killers you just mentioned also are not viable either at a high level, so killers have gotten 0 content too.
6 -
Sadako is really bad designed right now, but better than her first rework. Her OG version was still the best. Currently she is reduced to being only a noob stomper, because good survivors can take away your power entirely, which feels so bad.
1 -
you are trolling, LOL
8 -
Literally three posts saying the exact same thing as one another. Can we stop with the victim mentality? BHVR has not neglected survivors. Y'all are about to get the long requested buff for DS for example.
3 -
Nope.
The only one anyone's even challenged me on is Illumination, the others are just flat out good perks. Not necessarily super strong, but more than useably good.
5 -
cap
7 -
Convincing.
4 -
Killers are getting new powers, the only new thing survivors can get is perks and when they have no use, ofcourse it feels like survivors are not getting anything. Since Nic Cage update, we got nothing but killer buffs.
Oh ofcourse, let's not forget about 3-gen which ended with amazing killer buff.
9 -
It's frustrating to hear all this talk of "trash perks" and similar soundbites, because the reason most people die in-game has much more to do with skill than perks. I'd feel far safer with a pro on the team running nothing but This Is Not Happening than the average player using meta builds. Many perks can be useful, and of course some are better than others, but if the player isn't that good no amount of meta perk will make them much better.
Anyway, back to the main point: whilst I am not entirely in agreeance about what Perks are good or not, the focus has been mainly on Killers in general. It has felt unbalanced, like only one side really has something of value to look forward to. I would probably prefer to see patches mix Survivor and Killer adjustments within them, rather than heavily leaning to one side or the other.
This just keeps both sides looking forward to (or at least raise discussions) on either role's new changes.

Chucky xeno and billy are very strong what are you talking about?
9 -
Because they are different killers? Just because you can effectively use Freddy's power to get downs, doesn't mean you'll have the same thing happen with every other Killer. Sadako has more in common with Pig that with Freddy, so that was just a weird comparison.
0 -
true!! survivors never get good perks or new items or even buffs
3 -
Survivors overall are more consistent than killers, which means big buffs or nerfs to survivors aren't easy because it affects all killers but on a different level. So to that degree it is natural that killers are changed more often than survivors.
However, I agree that the recent survivor content hasn't been great and that there could be some more help for solo queue survivors as well. I think they have a lot on their plate though with all these killer changes right now, which is why I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that there will probably be some good content for survivors in the future. It's just lower on the list than these killer updates.
Although, I'm not sure why Alan Wake's perks had to be that weak. They could be tweaked a little to make them more useful. That would already help and it wouldn't take a whole lot of resources either.
1 -
I mean survivors are skins while killers are actually unique to each other so the killer is gonna have more stuff to play with. Also I wouldn't say sadako is in a good spot. Definitely better but still not good.
For Ripley, I don't really get why people don't like Chemical Trap. It's not bad and it looks funny to see the killer waddle. I've also seen a weird amount of light-footed.
I see Champion of Light a decent amount. Not common but still something.
I'm all for more perks being used cause the meta on both sides is boring as all can be right now, but I don't really know what would be good right now and would actually change what survivors bring.
0 -
I always thought that survivors should also have passive abilities, even of little importance, but just enough to differentiate them from each other at least by a minimum.
2 -
Yeah. Like, I'm happy killers are eating well. But I'm struggling to retain interest because survivors bowls are bone dry.
6 -
We've moved past the days of survivors getting "strong" perks, and frankly thats a good thing. The idea of survivors getting another strong perks like Mettle of Man or Made for This, and killers have to deal with 4 of that perk every game simply terrifies me.
There have been no trash perks for survivors released for years and there likely never will be again. The issue most survivors have is that the perks that have been released for them in recent years are all super niche with specific times that they'll be usefull. And I can understand the frustrations with that, but the alternative is to give survivors a strong perk, which wouldn't be bad.........if it didn't guarantee 4 survivor's bringing that strong perk every game. And thats where the difficulty of survivor balance is. Even a slightly strong perks tips the trial HEAVILY into the survivor teams favor if 4 of that perk are brought into the trial
5 -
I don't think that is a good thing, tbh. It forces survivors to a static meta which lacks variety, while the same does not happen for killers.
Survivors should get new meta perks, they just can't be overpowered. The original iterations of Made for This and Mettle of Man are examples of bad design. It is different from perks like Unbreakable or Self-Care (before the healing change in 2018), which were part of the survivor meta without being problematic for the game.
