Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

The real reason SM has the highest kill rate

Is because many survivors just teabag in the middle of the map and don't even try when they see I'm playing SM. Many survivors also don't know what SM does and how to counter so they immediately give up because they haven't played against it much. Like some don't even know you can just crouch under the beams when it's on a gen to completely avoid it, or they don't know you can switch off the drones. I guarantee if these players would just do basic research and not give up right away SM would have a much lower kill rate. This is why the devs said there's a lot of nuance to the stats and you shouldn't take it at face value.

You translate facts into words, which the survivor rejects. Because there are many such survivors, the management respects their opinions and treats them well.

What is most needed now is for the official to prepare a learning video for beginner survivors.

As someone who plays Skull Merchant a lot and knows a lot about her I can confirm that this is true- Survivors now just refuse to learn how something new works anymore because all they want now are just easy to loop push-over M1 killers and if they don't get that they start to complain about the killers being overpowered or just try saying that they're intentionally making the game worse for survivors when, in fact, it's the survivors making the game worse for themselves then just pushing the blame off of themselves.

And, yes, some killers can be like this as well, but I primarily see this behavior happening from the survivor side way more often by a significant amount.

I do wonder what would happen if every SM player decides to let other survivors escape every time they have one or two survivors do this stuff.

    Can anyone tell me:

If you're working on a gen when in the drone's radius, does it scan you?

Do you gain Lock On stacks?

The real reason? I don't think anyone is unaware of why her kill rate is so high. We all know people 4% out of the game when she turns up, and her bloated toolkit is difficult to understand. I haven't seen anyone say she is too strong. Just that she is miserable to play against.

People just generally don't find her fun to go against, every single version of her was just boring and annoying, and people are just not in the mood to even try anymore... It is not refusing to learn something, it is just that what you could do is not very engaging and many consider it to be unfun, so they would rather go next... I cannot really blame them.

Also yes obviously her kill rate is so high because people just give up immediately, this is pretty obvious and should not be new information for anybody...
