How popular and strong will be the Unknown?

It will be one of the worst killers (if not the worst) for beginners to face because it requires you to look at it. Beginners barely manage to avoid running into things while looking at them and now they need to look towards the killer as well? That's not going to work.
Against more experienced players it will probably still be decent but they will have very little fun playing against Unknow as well. This whole "teleport to Hallucination" thing basically guarantees hits around pretty much every loop.
So among survivors it will not be that popular. For killers that is a bit hard to say. I like the bouncing projectile thing but I don't like the visual and sound design as well as the overall power. But there are also people that like Slog Merchant, so I can't predict how many people will like to play as The Unknown.

The answer to your question is currently unknown

I expect to get destroyed by this Killer for 50 trials in a row, then to barely ever see it again. Just like what happened with the Skull Merchant, Singu, Xeno and Chucky.

I’d like to call it the Singularity Effect.
Meaning he’ll be some of the best designed Killers in years but has a power that vaguely requires skill and knowing what velocity is. Therefore no one on console will play him and he’ll be a great treat every once in a while.

He'll be around the bottom tier. Lackluster power that takes 3 hits, with the required first hit able to be cleansed mid-chase. He has the weaknesses of Ghostface's reveal mechanic, Nemesis's 3 hitting, an awkward projectile that does NOTHING on a DIRECT hit which is so dumb of BHVR, without any of the benefits of any other killer besides automatically-placed Sadako TVs that can be turned off quickly and easily and come with a huge cooldown and, once again, do not have any benefit besides some mediocre map mobility.
He's an overcomplicated mess with no real strengths, just like Singularity. Everything he does can be done a lot better by a more specialized killer.

What do you think of Dredge? Why is that killer so rare?

Dredge is great, with the right add-ons. Without them, he's just mediocre, an M1 killer with good map mobility but fairly poor chase. The reworked prestige system actually hurt a lot of killers that rely on high-end addons since they can't get them consistently, which leads to lower playrates due to not having playable builds most of the time.

I think he going to be similar to singularity. A pretty decent killer but is really hard to use or stressful to play. Personally think majority of ppl will just stick to their mains and play him once in a blue moon.
I know I'm not super excited for him mostly because I think his power seems difficult to use and you need to learn knowledge how to bounce the orb off of things to get value out of his power. I just like more simple and easy to use killers like wraith, xeno, and legion while I stay away stressful and hard killers like nurse, Blight and Billy.

Direct hits with the projectile apply a minor Hindered effect, and he has an add-on that makes it also apply Exhausted. i wouldn't call instantaneous teleportation to potentially anywhere on the map "mediocre". The Hallucinations also have add-ons that inflict status effects to survivors near them so they can have other benefits too. I think you're underrating him. He's not even as complicated as Singularity, just shoot the survivors with the purple blob and teleport when you feel like it.

Average pick rate imo. Will be strong in low MMR and against less experienced players, but less effective against more experienced players.

I think its could be in A tier. Chase tier may be below Wesker,Artist. But pressure is insanely high with instant teleport. The counterplay also multiple soft slowdowns (removing hallucination and weaken effect).

Well played sir or madam.

I doubt he will be popular - there's too many moving parts to his power. Any of the popular killers have only one power-related thing you need to keep track of at any given time (normally ammo or recharge). It's also easy to mess up, which is stressful. Teleporting though is very fluid and fun. My guess is around Pyramid Head level popularity. He exists, occasionally.
As for power, good potential, but high effort and focus, like Singularity but on a smaller scale. In the hands of an experienced player, probably not high tier but above average.

This one knows .... which is dangerous around The Unknown. Expect a visit in the night, soon.
Is this... your dog?

For Survivors: meme-y animations and voice lines, nothing uniquely scummy to them, allows for skill expression in dodging hits. Unless you're bad at dodging or looking at the killer while looping I think survivors won't mind going against them. Getting hit because you were dispelling a hallucination The Unknown teleported to might be frustrating for some people but I don't think it'll happen that often.
For killers: Not super strong (I'm thinking high B tier), weird design to look at, complicated kit with a lot of mechanics although not as much as Singularity, high skill floor but also high skill ceiling. I don't think it will by as bad as singularity or artist but for sure gonna be a bottom 10 killer in terms of pick rate I think not lower because it's gonna be hard to dislodge hag, twins, singularity, artist, freddy from bottom 5 but I could see unknown being bottom 6 or 7. There will be a few people that will absolutely dominate with them and they'll be forgotten by everyone else. The only thing that might save them in terms of pick rate is they do have good mobility which is appealing to a lot of people.

His power is over 9000

Well i'll definitely play him, as an avid user of Dredge and Artist, this killer is right up my alley. I'd place him low A / high B, basekit is good and teleport is instant, potential to shoot projectile through holes and gaps and hit people through walls. Addons let him down, but aura and exposed perks elevate his kit.
