Raise the Prestige

It's beyond clear that BHVR doesn't want to hide Prestige and I get it. I really do.

So how about raising it even higher?

Maybe 500?

That way, Killers won't dodge a P100, after all there are far more "skilled" P500 players out there!

Of course players who have spent bloodpoints in P100 Characters need to be awarded the appropriate Prestige level for their spending

The Prestige limit could be raised every anniversary or every time it becomes a problem

Stop charging players a fee of 20,000 at 100 and come up with new incentives.

For example, GAIN 20,000 BP for each Prestige 200 to 300

Just a thought

They ran an experiment a while back where some players couldn't see other players' prestige level - from what I remember it had quite conflicting feedback.

The main issue lies with the concept of prestige, which tends to be that people want to be able to show off, which the change of hiding prestige levels prevents.

I think ultimately the solution wouldn't be to do things like you suggest here, increasing the prestige level cap just pushes the same problem forward into the future and it would have to be increased over and over which really isn't worth it.

What in my opinion would be a good solution is to make players have an option to hide it, or perhaps 'mask' it.

Hiding it speaking for itself, those who want to show off can still show off so it keeps that kind of player happy.

To elaborate on masking prestiges; It would be a setting that would randomize your displayed prestige to a level below your actual prestige, this has the benefit of players of either side not being able to distinguish you from any other player (basically they wouldn't know you are not actually that prestige level), unlike with the hiding idea where they would be able to tell you've hid your prestige.

I think something similar to the masking concept is probably what would ultimately help players like yourself the most. Hiding it entirely just kills the concept of prestige for a lot of players. It's not worth the cost and prestiging would end up losing its prestige (hah a pun)

I also believe that the correct answer is to let each player set whether or not to hide it as an option.

However, if I say this, I will be suppressed by negative comments such as "You won't be matched because of your prestige display, so stop it,'' and "You'll get a killer who drools when he sees you, so stop it.''
