Camping Solution already in game?

Pyramid Head. His cages move when he camps a survivor trapped in one. Why hasn't this mechanic been used to move survivors from one hook to another when a killer starts camping? I'm sure it would be a big change to the game and take a while to implement it but it just makes sense and seems like the easiest and most logical solution. Would love to discuss and see what everyone thinks about how to improve upon the idea or possible problems it could create.

Well i don't really play pyramid head, but as far as I remember it's pretty easy to stay outside of the range and still camp. You just can't stand directly in face of the survivor, but the same is the funny timer already doing.

Last time I played against a PH he not only camped the cages but made use of the grab feature off them lol. He made sure to do it the entire match too haha. I didn't know it was still possible.

The killer has to physically hook the survivor and hooking a survivor in an area where you generate a lot of pressure if part of the skill of playing killer.

Making it so hooks just teleport bc the killer is generating pressure is punishing killers for being smart. The only reason PH cages get away with that is bc it's much quicker to cage a survivor, it bypasses things that trigger on unhook, and ph could just body block the cage if they didn't teleport

As has been pointed out the mechanics exist to combat the most egregious form of "camping".

It does this by affording a chance to escape, increased game time and the ability to do this without another player's aid, it doesn't exist to simply delete all threat of elimination due to a killer choosing to defend a hook effectively.

Yet again it gets called toxic, defending a hook is not inherently toxic in some cases its a smart play and a tool/tactic that can be used to change up game flow when needed.

Its not inherently OP because if not done properly, and it often isn't, then its more costly to the killer than beneficial. So the counters can't be inherently OP either.

Lastly as humans we all have a love affair with totalism and Hyperbole meaning that apparently camping happens all the time and its worse than its ever been... all the time. Making most complaints about it not really worth the time it took to write them.

Lastly players have freedom of choice that leads to varied gameplay and an anything can happen environment which is a good thing, the more we limit that the blander the game becomes.

This is what I like to call the "Cold Gruel" approach, its not sweet, not spicy, not salty, not flavorful, not crunchy, just a bland paste that is safe to consume and never different. You consume it for consumption sake nothing more. That's what happens to interesting things when you shave off even the more offensive parts you end up with cold gruel. Blandness for all... lets keep the game a lil spicy so much of life is cold gruel these days.

But then killers wouldn't have free kills, which is extremely problematic.

They already solved the biggest issue with camping when they removed hook grabs. Then they wasted development resources on making that utterly useless anti-facecamp system which never needed to exist. These days camping is successful mostly because of a lack of information. Something as simple as basekit kindred for solo players would solve this. It would tell healthy survivors "Oh I should go trade now".

I mean is it really free kills, as survivor you still lost chase twice and got hooked? Some accountability is needed on the survivor side. It's not like he froze you in place and insta downed you and teleported you to a hook while chasing someone else. Camping a hook isn't free because your giving the others free reign to do gens. Lastly not all camping is the same, camping egc and at 5 gens are 2 very different things, with very different outcomes.
