Killer Repeat Prevention needs to happen asap
So in the last 24 hours i played 48 surv matches with friends and i documented all the killers i faced here is the list:
Wesker: 34 times
Blight: 10 times
Wraith: 1 Time
Billy: 2 Times
Bubba: 1 Time
if u dont see a serious problem here then idk what to tell you im tired of wesker and his stupid music it gives me a headache

Wesker 34 times?
Jeez, seeing him once is enough to give me the urge to DC.
That must have been awful.
7 -
Yeah I’m really tired of weskers too, I get it.
12 -
best thing is to advocate for other killers to get reworks and buffs to be as fun and strong as wesker.
there is a reason why he is played so much and that ofcourse is that he is strong but from what i hear he also is pretty fun to play
9 -
It’ll increase queue times so they won’t do it.
8 -
Repeat prevention can't happen without breaking matchmaking or bloating queue times needlessly.
11 -
Facts my friend!
4 -
When you play Killer, which one do you play?
4 -
There is killer repeat prevention system: make all killers viable, strong and interesting to play as. Billy was one of the rarest killers in matches, now he is pretty popular.
16 -
This is my experience except replace Wesker with Billy. I hate Billy more than Skull Merchant right now.
2 -
34 / 48 Weskers? That's a 70.83% ratio. So either you were incredibly unlucky (which can happen) or something is off here because this is not Wesker's pick rate. Not even close.
12 -
How are you getting more Weskers than Billies rn? That's actually an insane number of Weskers
1 -
Once you get to a certain point all you’ll see is
weskers, blights, spirit, occasional nurse, occasional artist, occasional plague. Random nemesis/oni. Mostly weskers and blights though once you start getting up there.
right before red and early red you’ll see a lot variety then it dips more towards those killers.
1 -
This makes no sense.
"Red" grades have nothing to do with MMR. It's just a grade that ranks how well you did this month and rewards you with BP. It has no impact on matchmaking whatsoever. So your entire explanation falls flat.
I would be willing to believe that certain killers have higher pick rates in high MMR but with this explanation it's apparent, that your basing this on a feeling rather than actual facts.
10 -
I dont have a set main but the ones i play most are Singularity, Chucky and Onryo sometimes Huntress
0 -
I'm sorry you had to play against a Wraith player. Nobody deserves that.
0 -
Dont get me wrong the match was boring but it was nice hearing different music for a change
1 -
Okay then idk what mmr im in but thats a majority of what i see after a certain point of playing. Is that better for you?
1 -
That would actually make sense, so yeah. It is a better point.
But again, it's only a feeling and feelings can often be misleading. So without any actual data (and evidence for it) I can only trust that you feel this way.
0 -
You want to see more killers?
Then make them better! I know, crazy idea.
Instead of bandait "fixing" just start giving Billy 3.0 rework treatment.
15 -
I’ll do a full analysis next reset of every match in every rank and every killer I faced and how many times and make a post about it with my personal statistics using a list from SharePoint. I’m just playing around with builds this reset.

I main Myers and every time I get toxic teabagging in the exit gates, it makes me want to just go play hillbilly, wesker, and blight. If survivors want to play against a wider variety of killers, don’t go out of your way to make people who play those rarer killers feel like crap.
9 -
I actually did the same thing but i tracked data over roughly 2 weeks of play.
Wesker- 16.
Billy- 13.
Chucky- 11.
Blight- 9.
Nurse- 9.
Pyramid Head- 4.
Hag- 2.
Singularity- 2.
I solo q so majority of matches were 4k's with the occasional hatch.
1 -
i don’t bm, please no. I’m seeing Billy here and there and they’re already back on the same bs as before, and it’s very annoying.
0 -
So in the last 24 hours i played 48 surv matches
I instantly doubt this. 48 matches of dbd in 24 hrs is an unbelievable amount, even if you played for all of those 24 hrs, which i doubt.
2 -
Pretty much this if they add this i genuinely think queue times for both survivor and killer will jump 10-15+ minutes and 30+ minutes when a New killer drops if you want more killer variety they gotta make other killers as fun to play as wesker
4 -
and people wonder why its only weskers
1 -
It’s entirely possible, but would definitely mean you’re more than likely playing all day.
Say the average match is 10 minutes give or take, x48 games that’s an equal 8 hours on the dot. Add in total queue times which I’ll even give a substantial 2 minutes on average to, that’s another 1.6 hours, 9.6 in total. Add in breaks if you want, you could boost it to probably 12 hours of your day to play 48 matches.
2 -
In my experience the average feels a lot longer than 10/12 minutes. I'd say games can sometimes last for around 15 minutes and then for me the queue time is usually about 3-5 minutes especially when there's no incentive and then the lobby and loading time is usually 1 minute each so 2 minutes combined. So i feel like it's more 20 minutes on average which would take about 16hrs. That seems unbelievable to me, especially if they are playing with friends, they'd have to not be interrupted for that time and no breaks.
Honestly, i think OP is exaggerating or lying about the stats somewhere.
2 -
Must be a regional difference, my queues almost never get longer than 1-2 minutes unless it’s close to midnight then can be 2-3.
I wouldn’t doubt this is exaggeration, but it’s entirely possible to do, I would say most my matches are 8-12 minutes.

I wish I saw Wesker as much as everyone else seems to, as a Stakeout/Hyperfocus abuser.
0 -
Are you sure you're not just being matched against the same Wesker over and over and over? That's unlikely, yes, but there being 35+ different Weskers in two days also seems unlikely.
0 -
Players who want to face a variety of killers should play the role of a variety of killers. For those who don't generalize it, don't blame them for not having various killers. Self-help is important.
3 -
honestly not weskers faults it’s just that he’s one of the most fun killers to play in the past few years
2 -
There's a reason you've been seeing these two killers so often. Because they're actually good and some of the only killers released in recent time with a high skill ceiling with plenty of potential for skill expression. A majority of the killers released through 2021-2023 have very low skill floors and ceilings and are just not as good as these two.
2 -
Don't forget exiting on first hook speeds up the progress. 😉
But on a more serious note, matches are allegedly really at the moment with times less than 10 minutes and also getting tunneled out first makes it a really short endeavor in soloQ.
0 -
Agreed on that : I see Wesker more than some other killers, but certainely not that often...
1 -
yea right he is popular because you can get free wins playing him.
you can speed around the map in a matter of a second. you can run pop and pain res to make sure survivors have to do a 6th gen, while also proxy camping/ tunneling your first hook and get your lovely 3v1 at 4 gens left lmao
0 -
you can get free wins playing him.
Say you never played Billy without saying you never played Billy...
Learn to crouch, that will help :)
6 -
say you heard about avoiding chainsaw with crouching without actually trying to do it....
oh yeah crouching 100000% avoid a chainsaw hit it's not totally inconsistent yea yea.
plus you mentioning an exploit. instead of that why don't we remove the exploit and balance this over buffed killer? would be good for both sides right? no one will be frustrated. good idea i assume.
0 -
instead of that why don't we remove the exploit
nah, that would lead to removing other exploits in future, which I would rather avoid, because it's fun.
say you heard about avoiding chainsaw with crouching without actually trying to do it....
Is that supposed to be hard? when you see billy / demo use their power -> crouch. I don't see how is that difficult.
Just git gud issue.
0 -
Wish I had your luck. I get nothing but Blight, Nurse, and for some reason Trapper
0 -
when did i say it's hard? i said its inconsistent. can you not read? you don't just crouch and be guaranteed to avoid their attack. it may hit and it may not.
" nah, that would lead to removing other exploits in future, which I would rather avoid, because it's fun. "
fun to you only and anyone who abuse it. not to others who are facing it. what about old dead hard? i'm pretty sure you like other killer mains who cried about it you wanted it to be nerfed which it did. Dead hard was fun and skillful to use too right? oh no not for you :(

Exactly my friend
(Reworks that are questionable in regards to taking away what made that killer “unique” Freddy, Trickster, sadako)
These are examples of either failed reworks or like trickster and sadako where you took an OG design that everyone loved and paid for and gave them a different product.
Reworking killers is fine but leave their original kit alone and buff what they have. OG sadako with today’s buffs is all she needed. 🤷🏼♂️
2 -
Dead hard was fun and skillful to use too right
not really hard to do and not an exploit... Funny to compare perk with something anyone can use (except for console)...
i said its inconsistent
no it's not, it just doesn't work in every situation, but when it work, or doesn't is quite consistent.
That's like saying hitting skill check is inconsistent.

This would never happen as queues would be astronomical. However what could reasonably happen is a BP incentive based on how little a killer is being played to encourage people to use less played ones more. Essentially the same thing we have for survivor/killer queues.
1 -
Matchmaking barely stands a chance to stay on its feet the moment a single person dodges or waits 0.2 seconds "too long" in queue, the last it needs is even more to worry about and completely break down over.
2 -
Instead of a killer prevention the developers should analysing and understanding why these killers are so popular/fun to play and release more of them. Blight and Wesker are strong too but both also really fun to play which is why many players play them (even the ones who are not RE Fans in case of wesker). They should also rework/tweak more killers into more fun to play. They did a really good job with Hillbilly because I see him quite often.
Of cause not every killer can be fun to play for many players like Wesker or Blight. Some killers will be uncommon and rarely used (e.g. Hag, Artist) but this is also okay.
2 -
This.
Both sides dodge for whatever reasons, but it is so destructive to the matchmaking. It leads to the gross mismatches players rightly complain about, and worsens an already rough new player experience too.

give me your wesker games it has been months since i have had one that knew what they were doing

Your prayers are being answered. Behold a new Killer that will be spammed to take the place of your Whisker infection. Though you will get a new repeat with new champ. So never mind.
