Kill3rs see my items before match?!?

How could solos even tell others their builds in the lobby? Most of the playerbase cannot even see or use the chat box.
We really need the ability to view survs perks & loadouts somewhere.

So what would you suggest on how to change her?

One problem solved, another takes its place.

Absolutely agree! However, if the lobby where to be removed, where would survivors be able to see the build?
0 -
During the loading screen.

Its 4 v 1. The 1 is supposed to have extra help.

I am really not sure. I don't have a lot of ideas when it comes to her, but I do know that she can't stay like this forever.
I wish I could be more helpful

Prolly where players can see the offerings, or in-game on a pause menu.

So maybe a basic lobby then. No names, no profiles, no prestiges, just the survs. Must be a middle ground here somewhere that helps more than it hurts.
Another benefit of no lobbies would be getting rid of that last second swapping bs too.

I disagree. Lightborn in itself is a rather stupid perk, removing one of the only ways to fight back. But we dare not start that killer panic attack.
That said, what killer is going to switch perks for a toolbox? Just using your example.

Removing the lobby at the start would solve soooo much. Including, but not limited to...
1: Lobby dodging
2: Item/build swap at 5 seconds.
3: Prestidge showing. Still can't believe this is a problem, of all things.
3: Faster times to get 'in the game'.
Now, cons?
1: Killers can't shop
2: Survivors can't item swap
3: More mystery! Wait... probably a pro!

i mean lieghtborn lives rent free in my builds no matter what happens cause i absolutly hate flashlights. got blindet once when my head could not be more facing the wall or i would have it in the wall.
a couple of my friends like to switch to franklins when they see toolboxes thats my expirience.
and you are absolutly right the lobby has its flaws and brings problems like dodging wich is not good for the game even so i have to admit i am guilty myself that i dodged some lobbys when its obvious they are a 4man.

Out of sheer curiosity, I would ask why you would dodge a 4 man? I've been viewing those matches as the only chance to really get some dbd xp for myself. I usually learn a thing of three every time I'm in. Is this not a typical way of thinking for others? Does a 4-man auto equate to 'a bad time.'? Thank you!

Nobody want's to play a swf p100 party of 4 with 4 flash lights. At least not until you mastered the power of your killer the perks youre using and game mechanics to a good degree. I used to dodge lobbies too as I wanted to play for fun and not for to get made fun of. Once I was good enough with my main Killers I didn't care anymore who the players were or what items they brought.
I actually don't even look at the screen anymore until the game starts

I feel ya! After enough time and practice, anyone will fall. Gimme that p100 party!

This post makes me remember when a certain cheat program became pretty prominent. It allowed you to see what killer you were going against, as well as what perks they had. This was ALSO back when killers could swap characters in lobby, so I started doing the last second switch as killer. I'd pretend to pick Doc, then find a whole lobby of ppl with calm spirit... Apparently it was pretty common for ppl to type in chat who the killer is at lobbies.

Prestige does not matter at all.
You can assume that every Survivor player who played back when they made the change has either a P100-character anyway (at least one!) or many characters on high-ish Prestige-Levels.
You can have a P0, P3, P4 and P12 character in your Lobby and they might be the same players like the 4 P100s you mentioned, just not on their main Survivor.

Survivors don't have to item swap to hide items because with no lobbies killers just don't know what items they have which is bad in its own way, its "solving" a problem by making it basekit
1 -
It's not bad in any way but from the killers pre-game information. That does make it a problem though. Still, worth imo. I'd at least like to PTB-style it, ya know? See how people feel and run it for like a week or so. Come'on Bhvr!
I dunno man. I don't switch anything due to the lobby unless its clearly a meme squad. Always down. Getting to the match seems more important than letting all this other garbage pollute the game. See the pro's list.

I mean if you see 4 shiftly looking survivors you might be able to guess they will 4 toolbox switch on you or 4 flashlight switch and have even a bit of time to change your build. But even outside of that survivors who openly run 4 strong items you can still see it at least. Not seeing it just means you load into a match and suddenly they can have stacked resources you didn't even plan on them having with no counterbuff to make up for it.
I wouldn't like to load into a match and suddenly all 4 survivors had toolboxes and 2 gens flew while I was looking for where they spawned and I couldn't see it before the match, or they all 4 had flashlights (not that I would put on lightborn but it would be annoying) or they all 4 had medkits so healing times are way down.
Its harder to balance the game when killers have no idea what they are about to go against and unless you had some big buff to killers to counterbalance the strength survivors might suddenly have in a match that you can't fairly prepare for then I don't want to see it at all or something that would make all survivors groan another across the board item nerf.

Might be a hot take, but I'd love Lethal Pursuer's start-of-game aura read to be basekit. If this happened, I'd also like it to be unaffected by Distortion/Anything else that might hinder the aura.
But anyway! I wouldn't like to load into a match and suddenly all 4 survivors had toolboxes and 2 gens flew while I was looking for where they spawned and I couldn't see it before the match.
I'm not sure why this matters. If you were looking for them to begin with, they'd have those gens done whether you knew they had toolboxes or not.

I don't want balance. This is supposed to be a horror game. The notion 'balance' has to even be a thing is just misplaced, but that being said, DBD has just grown too popular and its just expected that a game has to be balanced. Dbd isn't supposed to be balanced as its not a typical pvp game. I could go on and on, but anyway!

For 'balance' concerns, one side getting a chance to counter another... simply isn't fair. And to the oncoming defenses, I will use this as to why DBD just isn't made to be balanced.

Please go on, go on. Your explaining our thoughts on these things so much better than we can

i dont do it always and most of the time you cant even know if its a 4 man but sometimes you see a team where you just know thats a 4 man and they kinda feel like trouble^^. i just had my worst times in dbd against 4 man teams. i dont mean that i mind losing against them but i think we all know these groups that littraly toy with the killer
1 -
It's a 1v4, its done on purpose. Also like others mentioned, just switch loadout or character at 6 seconds left. Solves your whole problem
1 -
Anything else? There a point you just have to make? Everyone tells it how they view it. If your attempt to devalue my thoughts without adding ANYTHING else, you're just being mean. Please have more to say! Also, you're*
I totally get it! Sometimes we just dont want to deal with the BS of a 4-man bully fest. there's no harm in that lol. Continue your rampage in the fog! :D

We did not mean offence and apologize if we did. We ment that genuinely and wish to hear more thoughts on that. People are throwing complaints and complaints about "balance" thinking it needs to be this way or that and we have trouble putting it into articulate words that the notion is bull.
And side note, there's 3 Rulebreakers and we share this account so it's really our*.

Oh wow! lol noted! Hello all three of you! So that wasn't sarcasm? Apologies, really difficult to tell on these forums sometimes. <3

I always use the lobby to prepare, and I see streamers doing the same as well.
As for dodging lobbies they could just remove prestige levels until the post-match results. Prestige doesn't mean anything anyway except that you've spent a lot of bloodpoints on that particular survivor.
They should however lock-in all survivors at the 15 second mark to get rid of last second switching.
1 -
I mean, at the very least they should remove prestige levels and profiles as well. Killers checking profiles to see the hours or stuff like that is just stupid. Killers should not be able to cherrypick their lobbies.
And when it comes to preparing... I think you are really in the minority. I have seen Killer Mains with 15k hours on Twitch who dodge Lobbies because of two Toolboxes.
So as I said, either they remove the Lobby to avoid Killers cherrypicking, or they put a penalty on dodging. Then Killers would still be able to prepare their builds (but even then, profiles and prestige should not be seen). But honestly, as I said, I rarely see preparations. I dont see many people equip Lightborn (and if you really dont want to get blinded, you should equip it every time since Residual Manifest and flashbangs are a thing, which you cannot prepare for), Mangled is everywhere anyway and I only see Franklins used during events when Survivors run around with Event-Items.

So you would enable the option to change the build during the loading screen?
