Past Rifts & Recolored skins available in-game store and for a limited time

Hello, DBD team!

Please allow me a quick introduction: my name is Gabriel Macedo, I’m from Brazil and I’ve been playing Dead by Daylight for a couple of years now. The first time I actually came into the Fog was around 2021, but I just allowed myself to really take the game more seriously sometime around 2023, when I first completed a Tome — curiously, the one with Gabriel Soma and the Singularity as main characters. So I’ve been exploring more about the lore, the mystery, the missions and everything in between.

I first found myself really drawn to Meg Thomas, back when I used to play with three other friends every week. But that was when I didn’t know much about the other characters and possibilities. Then it didn’t take long for me to fall for Mikaela Reid, which I can tell by now is my main character, just alongside the Onryō, since I now enjoy playing as a Survivor just as much as a Killer. We’re all trying to figure out a way around that Entity, am I right?

So, the thing is: I’m a true collector myself. A few months earlier, I started to really dedicate myself to getting to know everyone, and I can proudly tell that I’ve been religiously focusing on finishing all tomes from the game. Just after I finished Tome XVI: Existence, I came all the way back to Tome I: Awakening, and so I’ve been making my way to the middle, going back and forth. So as I was done with Tome I, I stepped forward to Tome XV, and then back to Tome II, and then to Tome XIV... you get the picture.

Since you guys can’t stop creating new things all the time (please don’t stop), I focus on finishing the ones that are currently with their Rifts open, so I can say that I quickly completed Tome XVII: Commitment, and now I’m just waiting for level IV of Tome XVIII: Revision to be available. And in the meantime, I can go back to older tomes and stories. When I get to a whole finished tome, I like to hear and read about the super rich lore all in one shot, so I really delve into the experience. Well, I’m committed!

And as I was saying, I’m a true collector. Since I found so many interesting aspects about my main Survivor, Mikaela, I’ve been spending all my energy and money on getting all things possible, regarding cosmetics and opportunities. And I know for a fact that some skins are available just for a few days, at times. So it’s been a few months now that I’ve been extending that interest in collecting all things for all characters. Everytime I see a skin, a weapon or anything like it, and I know that they’ll be in the store for a brief time, I do everything I can to guarantee them.

Since last August, as in 2023, I’ve spent around BRL 1.979,99, which means something close to 400 dollars, just buying auric cells to get the goods, and every single DLC from the game I haven’t acquired yet from Steam. I can easily say Dead by Daylight has become one of my favorite games of all time.

So I’m opening this discussion to ask for a chance to really complete my skin collection for Mikaela Reid. I now have 65/65 cosmetics for the loner wiccan, and now I can’t even begin telling you guys just how excited I am to play the game on March 12th, when I get the chance to play with a second character that looks just as interesting as Mikaela, which lore is just as close as hers, and for the first time with a Killer to call their own and a beautiful map to call my home. Also, I should say that I am more than thrilled that you guys are giving Ms. Reid just as much attention as she deserves, putting a lot of effort to make her different outfits in such a short time.

Currently, there is just two shirts for Mikaela I don’t have: the one from Twitch collection, since I’m not a streamer and I couldn’t apply myself for that, and the one from Meet your Maker partnership. I actually intend to buy the game shortly just so I can get that T-shirt. And I think there is one face I also didn’t get yet: the one from Twisted Masquerade. Maybe some other time?

But then there are two other outfits I couldn’t get my hands on.

Bewitching Barista are the ones I didn’t get. Everytime I remember that my very first gameplays were around when Tome XIII: Malevolence and its Rift were open, I want to scream just as loud as Jill Valentine when she’s hooked. That is because, of course, Tome XIII was the one focused on Mikaela and the Ghostface. I actually got a few rewards from that Rift, but back then I didn’t even notice that Rifts were a thing, or wasn’t that much interested in playing as seriously as I do now. I even got that charm from Moonstone Cafe with the... moonstone, but never got to the end of the Rift, and didn’t even think about purchasing the premium pass. So I couldn’t unblock a few more goodies from Mikaela’s history, including the other charms regarding her time before the Fog, and two of the most beautiful and well thought skins: Bewitching Barista.

I have watched you guys bring back a few of Mikaela’s and other characters’ skins, including the one from a previous Halloween event, the one from Cozy Break collection and that winter special, from Deck the Trials. I’m usually the one that takes my notebook to work just so I can open the game at the exact same time you guys open these updates, with a feeling I can’t waste a single second to get my favorite and limited skins.

So I am asking to please consider bringing back to the store these two Bewitching Barista skins. I know for a fact that you guys intend to bring all past Rift skins to the store eventually, but some people find it really unlikely for you guys to make the recolored skins available as well.

Now, I’m aware you once said that there was no plan of putting those Deep Rifts skins back online, because that would clog up the store. But I would be just beyond happy, though, if you guys could make them available even for a limited time again, maybe exclusively for auric cells, just so the fans that really enjoy collecting their main’s looks could get a new chance. How about that? I’m sure there are a lot of people out there just waiting for a chance to do that. I know I am! And I would pay whatever amount of money just so I could play with such a singular and awesome outfit, which is Bewitching Barista recolored skin. I mean, just look at her! It’s one of your best works! The blue hair! The alternate T-shirt! The stylish skirt!

As I am watching you guys tease us about the new DLC, All Things Wicked, I feel like this is the perfect opportunity to ask you for that true gift. I would be just eternally grateful if I could get the chance to really complete my collection.
