So, the new post-PTB changes are... good.

Nothing amazing or groundbreaking but still, good. They listened to the Invocation feedback, they removed the unnecessary +30 seconds on Pig's traps, they called back one of the Huntress buffs and buffed the Unknown a bit. That's all good.

They didn't solve all of the problems, but still, better than nothing or another Sadako situation.

Although I feel like they are taking the simplest and safest route they can...

    I find it interesting that even though they reverted the Pig's RBT timer they still seem to think Pig is going to be too strong based off how they worded it in the update, in all honesty Pig is probably still going to be meh at best

    I'm just amazed that Weaving Spiders copped a nerf.

    I mean, the permanent charges is good, but making it lose a third of its power to compensate for that when the perk was so deep below balancing standards... I don't think this improves anything but the 'feel' of the perk, which honestly makes me worry that people are going to actually use it now.

    Good changes overall.

    Kind of amazed only one of the Huntress buffs was scaled back, but that was probably the most problematic one. Somewhat concerned about Machine Gun Huntress with double wind up, but I suppose we'll have to let it settle and see.

    I’m kinda disappointed, that they didn’t buff her rbt. They are so weak and they still nerf them. The auras at least gave pig some free kills, which are necessary.

    The perk changes are good.

    The huntress buffs are still a mystery to me.

    I hoped for some doctor illusion buff, but the time was a bit too short I believe.

    I still hope they return Sadako back to her first version and give her all the buffs she got.

    the pinky change is a complet nerf and makes the whole buffs worthless cuz no usecase anymore

    i have no idea why they didnt do a sidegrad like the brand new part

    so hard cap 3 bottles like atm the suvs can see better trough the smoke and everything is fine


    but with one bottle nearly every loop is dead and so i enjoy the last 4 days in this game


    i mean i really expectet this bs change but bhvr really compare pinky bottle to an one hit axe

    bhvr: with the axe u are down.. with the finger u stilm have to hit the suvs

    u noticed that?

    i enjoy the last days with my mr puddles and than the game is dead and the only thing im sad about is, that i cant take my mr puddles out of this game and i have to left him behind :(

    Pinky Finger, just like every other insta-down addon, should be completely reworked, they are just impossible to balance. Don't give insta-downs to killers that are not designed around it.

    All good changes except Pinkie where I agree now it's a very weak addon and there should not be insta down addons. Just make it a good addon doing something else like 10% faster vault and pallet kick speed when invigorated or whatever.

    Would have preferred a new addon for Clown's iri as the one hit down just seems to be an outlier but also a bit hard to balance and unfun.

    Overall though I'm pretty happy about a lot of the changes - Huntress just in general didn't need any changes but at least one of the more egregious changes was Axed. Super hyped for The Unknown though.

    I'm fine with The Pig change and just removing the aura reading is more than enough to discouraging hovering around boxes. The Pig should be encouraged to take advantage of ambush more and I wouldn't mind seeing it buffed more. Having the roar play on a charging initiating rather than it being charged would be ideal for actual stealth plays. Possibly even delaying the sound to only play at about 50% of the meter instead of at the very start of the charging would be okay too.

    At least the removed the absurd Huntress movement buff. On the other side, whats up with the Hag buffs? They really left her that way?!

    Agreed^ it’s a really good buff, that makes the whole broken for the rest of the match worth it(assuming that’s the case still).10 solid charges is much better than regressions plus 2 mins plus broken. I think it makes it worth running at least.

    They decreased the detection range of traps significantly, which made her insanly strong and unavoidable. Next they buffed basic range and setting speed.

    Long story short, she is already a strong killer and did non need any significant buffs at all.

    Running with your camera facing behind you still works and you can avoid taking a hit by an insta-tele unless you double stack the range decrease addons. If anything this slightly nerfs Rusty Shackles.

    Im gonna assume its probably because shes an absolute monster at lower levels. Newer players dont really know what to do with a party hat on, and they just explode lol

    I'm inclined to agree. After looking at a few years of pick rate data I also believe she and Freddy share a common factor of just having such a small dedicated base of players after being out this long that they know their character and so it's like lambs to slaughter if MMR matches a clever experienced pig against noobs.

    I don't think you realize how problematic pig's ambush will be. Her ambush movement speed is only a few % slower than spirit's phase movement speed. It has no turning or visibility restrictions. It's faster to enter ambush, it lasts longer, and the cooldowns for hitting/missing survivors are less. Ambush also doesn't have a power meter whatsoever making it spammable. On top of this they reverted the nerf to her passive slowdown.

    This is ignoring addons like workshop grease/last will that make her chase power even better.

    Um, are you implying she is going to be almost as good as Spirit? While yes she felt better to use in chase during the PTB to say that she is going to be significantly better seems unlikely

    Obviously she won't reach spirit's level, but think about ambush vs slice and dice that has a long cooldown. This is stacked on top of her natural slowdown that didn't even get the nerf it was going to receive.

    With the buff itself, nothing.

    The problem is that she can still trap hooks.
