Consider hiding the self unhook progress meter until its (nearly) full

I'm a veteran killer player with around 8k hrs primarily playing stealth killers like GF and sadako nowadays. IMO the anticamp progress meter should be hidden from the hooked player until its full or past a certain threshold due to giving info to your location.

Picture the following situation: you've hooked a survivor and know that someone is relatively nearby (within 40m) and someone else is on the other side of the map doing gens. You have the option of contesting that gen or intercepting the person going for the hook save. The survivors are also aware of these choices. If you're good at your stealth, you'll either force the unhooker to make a decision and be able to pick them off, or be able to go for the generator surv as both of these options will have good value.

The above scenario happens every game and is actually one of main strats for killers like GF where you need to really time your downs correctly to be able to win (including providing the constant, looming threat of intercepting a rescuer); otherwise you'll likely end up losing.

Where the anticamp comes in: being able to contest both survivors requires constant movement rotations, where you're often forced to pass by the hook to be able to move on from one surv to another. Even if you're not really camping, the anticamp mechanic will still notify them of your location. Giving the survivors info that you're nearby destroys the meta strat and forces you to always go for the non-rescuer.

The problem: being restricted in your choices this way (which survivors can also deduce) will allow your most advantageous move to be countered, really hurting your strat and hindering your viability. Stealth killer viability comes not from chasing, but being able to go for opportune picks on anyone. Not being able to contest people like rescuers limits the number of people you can go for and makes your strategy obvious and thus counterable; no alternate options to provide cover to your chosen move.

TLDR: anticamp providing constant information when you (the killer) is nearby, as well as when you're NOT within 16m is an unintended benefit that disproportionately affects stealth killers. Make the meter invisible to the survivor until its nearly full. The anticamp mechanic should be just that, a self unhook when enough progress has been gained, nothing more.
