Dealing with Hackers needs higher priority

I know there are some lucky players out there that have never encounterd a hacker. Or they encounter the more subtle ones and may never know that the hacking has happened. For the first time in my many years of playing, I had an ENTIRE team hacking. And not sublte, blatent.

How do I know?

  1. They were teleporting around the map.
  2. They had access to every perk in the game and they had unlimited charges (some were really bad at teleporting and I was able to down them 2-3 times in a row but they would decisive strike me all 3 times in a row I would pick them up).
  3. Perks that had charge up times were immediately available (people would run into a locker then immediately come out right after entering to stun me. Then reenter and exit to stun me over and over so I couldn't move. They were also able to do so with animation downtime so it would happen immediately).
  4. People were able to get downed then immediately get up to healthy instantaneously.
  5. People were flying overhead to spam the falling scream over and over again.

I could keep going on, but all the players were doing this. And I know exactly why they were doing this. One player was making TikTok videos over it and the rest were their followers/friends. The player even blatently had TikTok their account name. It wasn't even hard to figure this out as I just typed TikTok Playername Dead By Daylight and immediately found 10+ videos of them hacking on TikTok (most videos were just them solo hacking and not with this group). I desperately want to post a link to their TikTok right here on this forum, but I know that will get the post deleted and me possibly banned. I already opened a ticket describing all of this out of game since it's even harder to do so in the game itself.

I know that Behavior has said that this is a high priority, but it needs to be even more important. There needs to be more things in place to catch these people in game that make no sense (you are in two different places on the map faster than is possible in game, or you use an ability multiple times in a row). I know the company is busy, but maybe they even need to do what Riot Games did a long time ago and make it so players get to decide who gets banned or not by getting to watch the matches. Or pay me 15 dollars an hour and I'll happily look through all these videos for you to help make this game a better place. Anything at this point because hackers are at their worst they have been in years, because people are doing it for likes on their videos and possibly to even make a living.

I apologize for the long post, but I needed to vent these frustrations. Does anyone else have any ideas on this?

Have you got the longest blind or the longest head on yet?

Head-on in that game yes. Had the blind one in a different game a couple months back.

I've seen ppl do this stuff and post it to their YouTube. They can also change their character model, so some ppl will try to make it look like their TEAMMATES are hacking by swapping characters and cosmetics real quick.

I have not but honestly it would not surprise me. This is what happens if you mess with gold farmers/bots in MMOs. They mass report you and most MMO systems are set if you get a certain amount of reports you get an auto 7-14 day ban before it's actually looked at.

I hold on for a long time but finally I decided to quit DBD because of this issue.

To be clear, it's not that there is a hacker in every game of mine, but lately they became so frequently (like every 3rd game something suspicious happens) that it completes kills the fun in playing DBD for me.

And I encounter them when I play Killer or Survivor. It makes no difference. Sure, most the time it's some subtile cheat, like wallhack, or running a tiny bit faster than possible, but even these "soft cheats" felt so annoying for me after some time.

A Dead by Daylight with useful automatic cheat protection is a dream that I have already given up.

A manual report with a ticket created, which is necessary because an in-game report alone is not enough, takes an average of 20 minutes (e.g. the last report from me today with video evidence of course) This is work that is not necessary in other games, let alone productive, since there is nothing against subtle cheaters.

To be honest, all I can say is that if this is important to you, you should really change the game.

Since there are apparently enough players for whom this topic is not that important and they continue to invest real money, not much will change. That's very sad but luckily there are now some other games that are a lot of fun and a few months away from DBD is also very refreshing.

I ended up getting a response from my ticket. They basically said they'll look into it and to report through the game and not through a support ticket. Yet, you can't upload a video to a game report and they say they won't ban people without a video. Mixed messages.
