Why is the price different?
DLC is usually 6.99$ for me.
Now I notice it say 7.99$ but discounted to 7.19$ for having gamepass.
Is 7.99 the new standard or is it a mistake?

Depends on how sales go. If it sells just as well as the previous, 7.99 is here to stay. Then they'll test 8.99, 9.99, etc.

Wait was it always 7.99$ on Xbox?
You get discounts on anything Gamepass related. I just don't recall getting a discount for DBD DLC before. I know you get the discount on auric cells.
So perhaps the price is actually less now?
That's funny though. So steam gets it a dollar cheaper? So BHVR basically voids the "gamepass discount" by raising the price. Until now possibly? 20 cents more than steam. Not a big deal I just don't rememebr seeing these prices.

£6.49 on UK PlayStation, or $8.30.
Given its the price of 2 cups of coffee either way... not too upset about it... if I was a kid who saw my parents ever buy a Costa or Starbucks, you can bet I'd be using that as ammunition... 😏

Steam UK, the chapter is normal price for me. £5.49 is standard for 1 killer 1 survivor chapter.
I'm guessing maybe they've increased the prices in some places due to inflation or whatever.

Different platforms and different regions change prices at different times. Could be the same price in one place and have just gone up in another, depends how much profit they're making and if they need to hike prices up.

DBD DLC for console (Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch) usually costs more than PC (Steam, Epic, Microsoft), including on the Microsoft store. This has been the case for several years, so this is nothing new.
This first link is to the PC version of the Forged in Fog DLC, and it costs $6.99.
This second link is to the Xbox version, and it costs $7.99 for the exact same DLC.
