Do you ever just open the Exit Gate and bail?

I do...in a lot of situations.

no but each game is a reminder that I should....

the amount of times I've been left behind just for all 3 to tbag at gates while the killer is camping hook is astounding amongst other circumstances like all 3 being healed, 1 or more having no hooks, etc

solo queue is such an awful experience but alas we can't always party up w/ friends and must suffer

    As a rule, no

However, I will for a variety of reasons. If it's basically unwinnable (like you got put in the basement with Bubba) or if you somehow irked me as a player in the game (namely I'm injured on death hook while you haven't been hooked and you are hiding).

Even if I have a daily to escape, I'm a pretty selfless (or dumb!) player who will do everything I can to save you

No. I would escape more if I did. I will almost always die to save my random teammates. Just running out the gate is boring and I don't know what people find fun about it. I have everything unlocked and plenty of every item so it's not like I need the bloodpoints from escaping.

    Nothing wrong with that.

I'll bounce if I don't think the team will be able to make a save, people won't heal up for a guaranteed save, etc.

I'll also bounce if I'm just trying to play/escape a bunch of games in a row.

Sometimes I'll be super altruistic, but that's generally of the team inspires me...it's pretty great when people take hits or body block for me as a solo, so I try to pay it forward.

I have so much BP that I have everyone (except the new peeps obviously) above level 3 so I'm more than willing to throw my life away on a 10% chance to save someone. Sure, 90% of the time all I do is get myself killed but the 10% times that works, those are way cooler stories! :D

    Would you?

    Who knows?!

I usually stream for pals in Discord and sometimes get them to act as a tribunal, deciding the fates of the other players - it's pretty fun/silly.

I'm working through all the SVRs, atm.

All my killers are 3+ but most of my survivors are only 2 (aside from my mains).

I don't need them at 3+, but it is a fun little goal/something to grind for :)

Grats on 3+ on all the homies, though :D

    Missed your post, sorry!

    Yeah, I've been there... T_T

Not really. I’m always making last second rescue plays.

The times I’ve opened the gate and immediately dipped were those where the less experienced Killer was being intentionally manhandled by overzealous Survivors who had gotten too focused on antagonizing that they hadn’t anticipated the obviously oncoming NOED/Blood Warden end to their ruthless shenanigans.

My team and I, we play most of the times in a three man party, we almost never does that. We always try to get the solo person, IF that person really played normal and helped a lot. Even when the killer is a camper we help. Most of the times that means one of us will be dead sometimes even two, but yet we help, if the solo queuer was a helpful and overall nice person.

But if the solo queuer was, like it happens more and more these days, a person who just crouch in the last corner of the map, with a perkbuild that only focus on be the last survivor and get the hatch, we immediately let that person die at first hook. Someone who litterally crouch from second one and hides somewhere, do no gens, do not help hooked people and ONLY heals himself with Claudettes perk, will ALWAYS die long before gates have power. (Mostly that are the Bills or Claudettes)

Look if you go solo queue we get it that it is risky to get survivors who let you hang in the end. BUT if you already have in plan right at the start of the match, that you wont do anything and just get the hatch, you will be dead. So if you want a team to help you, you need to help as well. And yes there are bad person out there, these who tbag and just leave and do not think of get you anyway are really really bad. But never let that slide in the next match. Cause that is not often the case.

And last I want to say is be nice and helpful so most teams will go help you too. Be useless and selfish, you will be dead long before you even get a hint of the hatch

Sometimes. I've started doing it more because 1K turns into 4K. You can tell when this happens. Killer camping someone in the basement, and such.

I often pull off saves though and make sure everyone gets out.

I'm the same. I sometimes wonder if this is why some of us get such wonky matchmaking. Dying for others feels good but if it knocks you down in MMR then wouldn't you end up playing with new players alot because you'd start to sink back into low MMR? I'm starting to think this weird matchmaking cycle I'm in is of my own making and maybe i need to play selfishly sometimes?

HUD usually helps me know who did what/if they're worth the risk.

It's definitely interesting deciding what to do!

No. I know how it feels to be left on the hook while people with 0 hooks just run out not caring about teammates.

Only time i leave without at least trying is 1 im injured /deathhooked, but even if im deathhooked i give up my life quite often to save someone else. To me personally if i had a good game doing stuff i don't mind dying, i really dont need the MMR from escapes.

2 You did nothing in the match except hid. You didnt bother saving anyone or healing anyone. I will leave your butt hanging. Maybe next time you'll participate the team game.

3 Its Bubba or Billy camping the hook. That usually means exchange or 2 going down instead of 1.

    Love the responses here.

I’ve died many a time going for that last gasp rescue. Amazing when you get it and I like to think you reap what you sow.

Keep being altruistic you lovely people!

If I am playing solo I try my best to help. I will be the trade to get them out. The sad truth is that most of the time I get on first hook and that’s where I stay. I still go for saves as it doesn’t deter me, it’s just unsettling.

If someone is getting chased I might hang around for a potential protection hit but if you're on hook I'll leave. Unhooks are too uncoordinated and it becomes a hook trade where I'm the one left.

    Rarely.

In fact I will sacrifice myself for my team mate to get out and I will go for the unhook even if I know it will be a trade.

Exceptions being if I am going for adept or I found a purple flashy lol... then sorry bud, you ded

    Circumstances differ. I ll get out if I;

    * Have been tunnelled or killer seems to be trying to get rid of me but wasn't able to get me, I'm taking the W

    * I'm the Rancor obsession

    * If NOED is up and I'm on the other side of the map. I hate rewarding the killer who got outplayed with free NOED kills.

If I didn't play particularly well but the hooked player did, I ll go and save them knowing full well i ll get killed, doesn't bother me if I felt my escape eas undeserved. If there is another active player alive and the killer is approaching and I have the gate open, i ll atleast make him hit me out to atleast waste some of his time.

It depends on the situation. If I have a daily ritual or challenge that requires opening the gate and escaping, then KMAGYOYO.

If I'm up against a Trapper/Hag/Bubba and they have people in the basement, then good luck, I'm out. If I'm the last man standing and everyone is either dead, dropped or on hook and NoEd or Devour Hope has been revealed, then I wish you well but I'm getting my escape bonus.

Excluding those scenarios, I'll do my best to get others out. Plus it doesn't pay to open gates prematurely in the event the killer has Blood Warden.

    Depends.

If it's a Hillbilly or Bubba, yes I will.

If the killer has NOED and the totem is next to the hooked survivor he nabbed, yes I will.

If the other survivors tried to get me killed all game and I somehow survived, absolutely.

Otherwise I do try to help the others.

If my teammates are actually playing the game, no. I will try to make sure everyone is there before I bail. As soon as everyone arrives though, I leave. No sense prolonging the game.

However, if my team is being ######### heads, and lately that's more often than not, I will absolutely bail and hope the killer gets their stupid ass.
