re-upload. Is it just me or are killers too overpowered?

I have been playing this game for the longest, both killer and survivor, im pretty decent i guess. Whenever i play as survivor, they always happen to magically hit me out of nowhere. There will be times when Im far away from the killer ( i understand that when they hit the survivor it lets them skip steps) but sometimes that isn't the case, they will literally miss and instantly swing again and hit me? like how does that even happen? another time is when im vaulting and ive already vaulted, i still get hit! ITS SO FRUSTRATING.. Literally the statics have shown that killers win most of the time and it makes the game hard to play to the point where its not even fun anymore. How can they truly balance this?

not trying to be a hater or nothing just truly annoyed by this. Have clips of times that don't make sense.

That is the balance they want they want less then 50% survival rate they have announced this. As far as the swing they may be running the perk save the best for last. The getting hit in vaults sucks but its a latency issue theres nothing they can do about it.

but why is that? it makes the game unplayable and less fun. I know at least a few people that gave up with this game because of how unfair it was..

Because its their game and they get to make it how they want to. As far as the latency its just the servers suck.

This game is extremely unfair with regard to ping. It doesn't matter if you have 20 ms as survivor, because the game favors what happens on the killer's screen anyway, so if the killer has 500 ms, then you get hit behind vaults and pallets as if YOU had 500 ms.

In contrast if you as survivor time Dead Hard correctly on your screen but you have ~100 ms of ping, this time it's server-sided so you get hit anyway because the server thought you were too late.

Someone posted a few clips on this forum where the killer was VPN'ing with 300 ms, showing both the survivor and killer POV, the difference was insane. On the killer POV it seemed like the survivor was a complete beginner, as if he had slow reaction time, and he would get hit on most pallets. Even on The Game, many pallets were suddenly very unsafe, just because of ping, the killer was basically getting an extra 1-2 meters on his lunge.

Looping in this game is HEAVILY ping-dependent, especially because of windows, and yet in a massive game design paradox, the game does not even SHOW you the killer's ping. Competitive DBD tournaments have a ping restriction of <100 ms, but the pub servers don't have it. As a result, you have to gamble every game hoping that matchmaking won't match you with a Russian or Chinese killer, and the only way you can know is by taking a hit and trying to estimate how BS that was. This is the main reason I've stopped playing surv, I can handle bad balance and bad teammates, but in DBD playing against a laggy killer feels the same as playing against a cheater - totally unfair.

Yea I really wish they would fix the servers almost every game I play the killers ping is red bared and my latency is around 20ms with 800mb upload and download pretty annoying.

Not really. I escape roughly 40% of the time, which is their goal anyway.

Otherwise, excluding the other survivors give up/mess up big time/troll, my experience as survivor has been positive.
