Anyone notice some bad articles? (This is serious)
I just saw an article talking about how the unknown is an attack on trans people. I sent it to my friend (who is trans female) and she said that it was written in bad faith and clearly was supposed to be an attack on BHVR.
Has anyone noticed similar articles or asked the admins opinions on why the articles are doing this?
edit: I don’t agree with the article btw, I don’t care what you are. We all are just emotional batteries for The Entity 👍

No but gaming journalism being nothing but being bad faith click bait is nothing new.

Journalism is pretty much dead. It's all just click or rage bait. This isn't an exception.

It’s just so bad to see a killer get a decent reception get called out for something that isn’t even true.

Yeah but not just the killer's reception, BHVR themselves try to be as welcoming and inclusive as possible, so it sucks seeing folks try to put them in a bad light over something that clearly was not their intention. They're vague about upcoming killers because they've been trying to combat leaks, not because they're trying to mislead voice actors (I've read the articles)

There was a lot of misinformation around Unknown's back story on Twitter that claimed it was a trans woman and was basically fulfilling a really harmful stereotype around the group. A bunch of grifters and few journalism sites hopped on it, and things got so bad even the VA thought it was true for a minute.
Things are mostly resolved now. The issue has been cleared up, the cosmetics are staying, and BHVR is going to be closely monitoring for anyone trying to do the bullying they were before.
