Can we revert skull merchant
As we see skull merchant, it's pretty broken how clawtraps injure you and hinder you, basically impossible to run away from, as I play her, I see how this is unfair. 3 gen is fixed! Reverting her would be wonderful and unbroken. The only change she would need then, is for her to have 5-6 instead of 4 drones. Now adays, you can hack her drones with no consequences and her drones will be out for like, ever. Skull Merchant was much better than. It was only her 3 gen that ruined her. It's honestly a needed update, Because she wasn't OP a few mouths ago

Skull Merchant making games 35 minutes instead of an hour doesn't make her more fun to go against lol. At least this version encourages chase.

Revert her back to the power design phase. Give her something strong and fun to do.

Just delete her power and giver her one of these bad boys:

I agree, imagine her with these bad boys and that red dress in her bed hehehe.

No!

Just play normally and don't gen rush, you'll be fine. Cleanse a totem or take hits etc.
2 -
Delete her and replace her with Terminator. If you got that stuff in Deathgarden you can get it here. Put her perks in general rotation and make Thalita and Renato free survivors up there with David.
W BHVR move and it’ll make all the 3-Gen SMs mald

Skull Merchant is an amazing concept and is an excellent killer, but right now she's pretty annoying to play against and is just to easy with claw traps injuring survivors

What is gen rushing? Do you mean doing the only objective survivors have? This feels like you're saying "play poorly and you'll be fine. Source: Just trust me bro".

Likey no, they just gave her a rework that didn't even solve the issues she had. The have to see if the 3 gen mechanic relieves some of the issues with her before they can change or buff/neef her power. But the damage is done people loathe her and playing against her. Her 3 gen shenanigans went on for way too long, it's a mountain to climb and probably not going to be touched with a 100ft pole

Gen rushing, is basically almost base game, All tool boxes, gens done in 5 minutes to the point the killer can't complete their objective. (Ratio)

She's fine.

I was playing as SM for a while but I don't want to even do it anymore because it's too oppressive in so many ways. It doesn't feel fair so it doesn't even feel good when I win. I mean who thought it was a good idea to give her undetectable 96% of the time when moving around the map?

Nuh uh

Technically any killer can 3 gen. The rework actually did a good job at preventing it. Avoiding her drones are easy

I personally agree with you, they only changed her because of the three generator issue.
It may be hard for behavior to believe, but there are some skull merchant mains out there. I don’t play her as a main, but I do enjoy playing her frequently.
I enjoyed her old design. Again, nobody asked for her to be completely changed. They were just trying to fix an issue and I get that but the problem is solved with the generator update.
This is the exact same core issue that people are having when behavior changes characters that we originally paid for. Trickster, Sadako, Freddy, Skull Merchant.
I understand the enormous amount of feedback how matches went on for 45 minutes to an hour, because she camped a 3 gen but that is no longer an issue and now we have a completely different character from what we paid for.
If OG sadako had today’s buff that’s all she would need. That and a proper add on pass cause what in the world…

I have played old Skully a lot and I keep playing new one too. (I enjoy M1 killers and her skins are great)
In my opinion new Skully is way easier to deal with for survivors. She is overall weaker in my opinion and she doesn't have super broken maps like she used to (The Game, Midwitch).
Old Skully even without 3-gen, her totem builds were insane. Good luck trying to get rid of my Devour Hope before I get 3 downs. Her chase used to be better with exposed and pallet breaking. Her speed was better too, because of claw traps, her addons were better, her slowdown was better.
Revert would be great for Skully, not really for survivors. I just think survivors crying on current Skully never played against good old Skull merchant player, or they have memory of gold fish.
She is just soloQ stomper, because of stealth now, but it's possible to win on most maps.
You healthy -> hold W
You injured -> predrop pallets

If it was up to me to rework her completely, I would not go for "Just revert her back to her original power" route, as they would make 3 gen defenses more convenient and problematic. I am also pretty sure the Dev do not want to go back thar route either.
What would I do instead, is make the drones functions similar to Zombies and make them hover and move in a patrol route in the map. Basically, Scrap the Skull Merchant ability to throw out drones and she can used her device to reactivate them when they are down by survivors. The Survivor can have a few methods to take them down, they can get close to a not active drone which isn't scouting and do the hack minigame. They could uses a flashlight to blind a drone scanner, if it hasn't already alert the killer that it found the Survivor already. And they could even destory a drone, and make it respawn in the map, with a cooldown. Destroying or failing to disable a drone, or being caught by the scanner can punished the Survivors with a claw trap and hindered and reveal them with killer instinct and the killer's tracking device.
Inspiration of the drones moving in a patrol pattern is inspired by the cinematic official trailer for the skull merchant reveal, in which the drones were literally moving and following the Survivors they are have discovered. We need that for the new Skull Merchant 3.0

I have seen several versions of this idea and it was always terrible.
It was always just worse version of knight. Knight is really not popular killer for survivors, so if she will be stronger than Knight, then you didn't change a thing and survivors still hate her (also screwed it for players who enjoy playing her), or she will be worse and you just destroyed a killer.

which is why reverting can fix that!

her only problem was 3 gen, she was never a strong killer. Unless you'd prefer to be injured by claw traps instead, be my guest. I like playing her every now and then and shes wonderful (Its not bad to play her, shes fine)

This is what they should've done way back when she first came to her PTB instead of wasting all of this time reworking and tweaking her just for her to still be awful.
Until they scrap her kit and give her something new to work with, she's always going to be a hated character.

If they made it so she recalls her drones in a way that makes them travel back to her (ie. if she's across the map and recalls a drone, it'll make its way to her, beeping and scanning all the way), it'll make her games more enjoyable.
Killers will have access to new techs, like setting a drone and having it come back strategically, in chase or as area checks. And surv will have a bigger reward for hacking drones, since a hacked drone will still have to make it's way back to her, but in the duration it does, it'll be harmless (instead of instant recall).

her only problem was 3 gen
That's not true. Her chase was actually better than it is now. 3-gen was just easy way to annoy survivors.
You had better movement speed, you had better passive slowdown, you had pallet breaking, exposed and more information.
She was best killer for hex builds. Chase merchant with Blood favor, or Devour hope was really good and it was kinda hard to get rid of her totems.
EDIT: I have feeling you didn't even read who I was responding to.
1 -
shes fine now, people just don't know how to counter her
2 -
I disagree with her chase, she was perfectly balanced.and Finally, a killer that could stop people from cleansing totems right off the bat, 3 gen was her biggest problem, because more than 70% of Skull Merchants did it or resorted to it. 3 gen is over now, She Is fine for revert. It's okay to have a good killer in the game.

I miss the old skull merchant :(

These are wonderful facts, I agree with you 100%. I bought Tools Of Torment because I loved the way her gameplay looked, Locking down areas was wonderful. Now shes different and I have regrets now.
1 -
yes, me too. God knows if what we say will ever get the older version back.

I wish they would stop reworking old designs. Just improve current designs. Eg; Freddy, Sadako, Trickster, Skull Merchant

It's funny you say that when people complain about Skull Merchant being too good at defending the objective, survivors don't know what they want let's be real

yes, I agree
