I think they might be trying to adjust him to be more popular for a lot of players, which might take a bit more than the number changes they did for Pig and co.

That said, Larry needs the love, pls BHVR🥺

It's quite strange that the singularity was scheduled to receive changes and was discarded and Blight was also scheduled to receive a change but now he will receive another and it won't be the addons.

Nobody said he was bad. Just needs tweaks to some of his add ons and emp

EMP's absolutely ruin him. Shame as he's such a cool killer.

It says March-April so it could still happen 🤷‍♂️

No, he needs changes. He is niche for a (bad) reason.

In some maps with a lot of clutter avoiding him to snipe correctly with the cameras he is bad. In closed maps his cameras are directly almost useles, he can only (barely) use them in chase. There are more killers having bad maps for them, but singularity is the most extreme case imo.

The value he gets from his powers considering how hard is to use is underwhelming. Also the damn EMP... In my opinion the EMPs should be finite like Nemesis' vaccines.

The Kid's Ball Glove is almost a mandatory addon if you want to be more decent in chases. Yes, it is a brown addon and you can have tons of them easily, but having to have one addon slot always reserved for one addon is never good, it also happen with Map of the Realm addon in the case of Knight, for example.

Given that this patch was mostly just number changes, it’s possible they moved it back because they had something bigger than that planned for him.

Number changes won’t really fix his issues so maybe they needed more time on him? Just a guess though.

They did not move anything back. The Roadmap says "March - April". We are currently in the end of march and there will be a Midchapter in April.

So I guess we will receive some bigger changes to Singularity and those are usually done in the Midchapter.

Am I missing something, or does it still say Singularity in March/April.

That’s going to be the mid-chapter launching in April, no?

I have more success sluggin people 24/7 than hooking them.

Hooking destroys Hux´s momentum in many ways:

    • Destroys slipstream.
    • Have to pick up.
    • have to carry to hook.
    • hook animation.
    • have to walk away to use my power again. Otherwise I suffer from a massive penalty on movement and any action.
    • Next chase is worse because one slipstream got destroyed when hooking.

All of this makes slugging with perks like third seal, knock out, sloppy and / or nurses way more efficient for the Singularity - player.

It also makes the gameplay for survivors extremely unfun and unhealthy overall.

I think this needs to be adressed. Hooking should not punish you harder than the reward of slugging. This only leads to Sadakos original problem with Ring drawing.

It is easy to play against though. Shift + W and the occasional EMP are enough to make this killer suffer a lot. It's not a guaranteed win but it's highly effective and easy to do. You can still use the EMPs in loops and suffer no downside. But you waste a good 10 seconds for the killer and force them to repeat the process of setting up a biopod and slipstreaming you again. That's about 20 seconds and the killer hasn't gotten anything out of that chase yet.

Singularity's chase power is nowhere near as strong as people think and the mobility part is completely under each survivor's control. The Soma Family Photo is pretty much required to make it work. Otherwise you spend a good 20 seconds slipstreaming and teleporting to that survivor and get nothing. No pallet, no hit. Nothing. Because after a teleport you do not catch up to a running survivor before the overclock duration runs out even if all 4 survivors are slipstreamed. Even with Soma Family Photo it's not that good. Many Singularity players use Coup de Grâce for that exact reason.

More than the EMPs, what actually needs changes is the power itself. You cannot use it to get away from a hook, you spend forever slipstreaming survivors and then still get nothing out of it and if you can't keep all 4 survivors busy constantly, you lose everything. This is terrible design. Such a high skill floor and then the power is still worthless without specific perks and addons.

The only thing this killer needs is for the biopod placements to be much more reliable. There are so many objects, where Singularity should easily be able to place a biopod, but the killer is stuck frantically moving their biopod cursor over an object 5 times, trying to find the specific pixels that a biopod can attach to, and they’re often trying to do this while chasing a survivor.

And some objects, like some of the farm map trees, really hate biopods.

For reals, BHVR should just let us easily place biopods on everything (even the smaller tree branches). Except for, of course, objects out of range, objects that are too vertically far away, and special objects like hooks and generators.

I asked Mandy about it here on the forums and she said that it doesn't mean it's necessarily cancelled it's just not on the roadmap at the moment. So it could very well still be coming.

Given that Freddy is missing in all of these so far and considering that he is the one who needs changes the most , I'd say they are saving him for something special. For some Freddy Prime Time ...

I hope they don't change Singularity too much.

He is extremely fun to go against, and I would hate if that weren't the case after they've tweaked his power.

The next mid-chapter is the April-June part which Singularity still isn't a part of as far as we know (going by the updated road map).

Maybe they haven't shown us everything in that patch but so far it doesn't look like he is part of the next mid-chapter. Hopefully it's just been delayed or is a part of it but not shown.

Singularity is fine as is. He can be good in right hands and on decent map. He is bit addon dependent tho.
