Who needs skill?! Where at the press of a single button you can get haste! give hindered! take a health state! AND force survivors to interact with an object and waste time or risk the penalty! And what's more? The radius on your drones are so large you can lock down a 3 gen or loop no problem! But don't forget to tunnel down each person right off hook or you won't be giving the fully toxic experience to survivors that they deserve!

Yeah, a killer shouldn't be so unfun to go against that many people would rather not play the match at all than play against her.

Doesn't matter how you play against her the fact of the matter is she gets too much with push of a button. Hacking her drones is completely useless since they wont disappear just go offline for tiiiny weeeny bit.
If you want easy 4ks though i recommend playing her. Doesnt take much effort eather.

Skullmerchant is laughably broken especially playing solo queue and without comms, I also feel like I’m playing a single player campaign going against her all the time..

People will never stop complaning about SM until she is 3m/s killer with drones that do nothing and just stand there.

I don't know whether to agree or disagree with this one. I've had a blast playing as the Skull Merchant and won many games as her. As I'm not great with killers, I'm inclined to agree.
On the flip side, however, I've never had a difficult time against her as a Survivor. She has been one of the easier killers for me to go against.

Of course. Because you understand very well what kind of killer SM is and what it wants to do. It's as simple as having the knowledge and being able to do the right thing, but it seems that many survivors, unlike you, are unable to do that.
They then shift the blame for problems caused by lack of knowledge and skills onto the killer. Because it's much easier to do that than to develop the knowledge and skills to do the right thing.

The only thing sending out a drone does is make her Undetectable for a few seconds. The haste only happens when the drones actually scan survivors. Hindered only happens when a drone scans a survivor with a claw trap. The damage only happens when you get scanned 3 times and become claw trapped.
Also drones around gens aren't the most effective, because working on a gen makes you immune to being scanned.

Did she do anything other than put a drone out to get those buffs? Nope. No other interactions other than wait for somebody to walk through it. Therefore one button five statuses

Most people know how to play against SM. The problem is the playstyle is run to loop, drone gets dropped, you get zoned, scanned or hit and move to next loop IF you make it while she has haste or perks like rapid brutality which makes her faster than God stacked together. She can drop drone mid chase to lose red stain and mind game at an instant. No other killer gets these amount of buffs from the push of a single button

Agreed. I think the Devs are more than aware that she's a problem at this point. She'll receive a change but they've already slotted certain killers for updates and need to have the time and resources to do them properly.

I doubt she will be nerfed. Changed? Perhaps. But not nerfed.
Skull Merchant isn't impossible to beat. Her kill rates are high just because of hook suicides.

Trappers traps are one small tiny area. Her drones are a huge radius. Big difference. He also doesn't gain Undetectable or the ability to track as a passive when picking up or setting traps.
If they made her drones a smaller radius, took away Undetectable and only kept the haste or the hindered not both she would be better. She has too many buffs from one button

Pushes button - passive scan, gets haste, 2 scans, more haste, 3 scans , injured, hindered, more scans, hindered. All while gaining Undetectable for each drone and no slow down to plant a drone. I don't think you play her if you can't understand those basic concepts. She pushes a button and the drone does all the work passively without any further assistance

Except you leave out the part that those effects only happen if the survivor is scanned...which survivors can avoid

Make the first two stacks of lock on removeable by hacking a drone (hack a drone to remove a stack), make the hacked drones unable to be recalled while hacked, remove changing the rotation of the drones. When survivor gets scanned 3 times just don't give them deep wound being broken is more than enough.

I had 4 in one day. Safe to say i didn't play rest of the day anymore. 2 of them i got in midwich and i actually tried to play that game but she from the start camped 3 gens with her drones and stealth and soloQ is what soloQ is match was doomed. Last time i even try ever again especially in soloQ.

I’ve been playing SM for achievements and old tomes recently, and 3-4kd every single game and a lot of the time there were DCs or hook suicides. The cooldown for placing and recalling drones is way too short in my opinion. Hacking drones doesn’t do much when i can just recall it and place a new one. She needs a full rework

The lack of transparency and overall radio silence from them on all these big issues means that all we can do is flood communication channels with the same complaints until they finally step up.
Though, the lack of any insight probably means they either don't care or probably just have priorities elsewhere.

The devs might not look to favorably to adjusting her when most of the data is skewed from players not playing out the game. If you want change play out the match to showcase how it is balanced incorrectly. This is showcased by revealing the kill rate and not batting an eye at it. They are aware of why the rate is high. We as a community need to showcase proper data to be analyzed rather than saturating it with dc’s and giving up on first hooks.

Her kill rate is highly inflated as well. I’ve been playing a lot of her and I’d say at least 1/4 of my games the survivors just run up to me and sacrifice themselves because they want out right at the start. That is A LOT of inflated numbers and not even counting all the dc’s of which I probably get the same amount. This isn’t even playing a certain way, this is the start of the game as soon as they realize it’s SM, before I’ve done anything.
She isn’t that strong though, she’s like B tier at best.
