Clown's and Huntresse's ammo Add-ons have changed
Let's see how their new effects will feel like.
Clown:
- Sticky Soda Bottle (Rework): Now increases the Invigorated effect by 2 %.
- Cheap Gin Bottle (Rework): Now increases the Invigorated effect by 3 %.
Huntress:
- Leather Loop (Rework): Hitting a hatchet grants 2 % Haste for 5 seconds.
- Infantry Belt (Rework): Hitting a hatchet grants 3 % Haste for 5 seconds.

Agreed we will have to see, at first i thought clown was fine with his buff. 8 bottles just felt impossible to do anything against. Especially mixed with longer hinder or stronger hinder. And even if he ran out. He could just mix some more very quickly from his buffs years ago. Huntress is just dumb with 10 hatchets. I dont need more detail on that. Glad to see they fixed them.

Good that both Killers got their Add Ons changed.
But not so sure about giving Huntress Haste.

I thought she already had one with the iri? I think it just makes her a m1 killer though. Ironically these will probably be better than that iri.

Good changes. Huntress getting her best addons basekit without any drawback still was a dumb move though.

Yeah, but she only gets Haste when she is out of Hatchets, which makes her an M1-Killer without Power.
This only grants haste for 5 seconds, but she still moves with 113% Speed for 5 seconds after throwing a Hatchet, so she is better at keeping up with the Survivor after throws.
Not sure if it will be impactful at all, need to test this. But it is certainly more healthy than the previous effect.

I’m so glad that they released this as a hot fix and didn’t wait until the next mid chapter to add this. BHVR takes a long time to update anything so I hope we can get more small balance changes this regularly.

It's good that the developers made these changes because Clown and Huntress were too oppressive with all these Bottles/Hatchet.
However, Sticky Soda Bottle and Leather Loop are now useless addons because there is no reason to use them over the other two. In general, these changes seem so cheap and boring that's so sad. No idea for an effect? Just give haste works always!

Ironically clowns gonna be the more interesting one for me. I think invigoration is already 10% for 8 seconds? You can make it 11 seconds with one purple. And 13% with the other. Throw other stuff into the mix like furtive chase and rapid brutality. Clown gonna speed demon some survivors lol. I get that people have always said the antidote is useless so we will see if it goes any higher with this.

So huntress got trickster's red add ons whenever she hit people.

3% haste for 5 seconds is almost meaningless so I don’t think anyone will have a problem with it. You’ll spend 2 of the 5 seconds recovering from the throw cool down. People will just continue to bring Shiny Pin and GC because those are far and away the best.

So let's get this right. Devs buff clown and huntress to give more base kit bottles. Then nerf pinky finger clown (that one was kinda fair kinda bull imo) then you just remove the ability to have more hatchets/bottles. Why are you messing with these kills so much. I get its annoying to have a huntress with a load of hatchets or a clown with a load of bottle but why not do all these changes in one go. Or better yet test these changes and get it right before going to live. At least revert pinky finger clown back now that the extra bottles arn't avaliable so its as it used to be.
Also anyone saying pinky finger clown is OP you forget you have to direct hit THEN hit the survivor unlike huntress which is just hit the survivor thats it.0 -
what… i still have ammo problems with clown. so I use cheap gin bottle on clown. 3% for clown doesn't seem worth it because he has add-on to increase the duration….. which do same thing but better.

the way i play clown is I use triple bottle setup. I throw 1 yellow, then setup 2 pink bottles at loops so that survivor is slowed for the entire loop. the pink bottle duration is too short. The extra bottles allowed me to spam bottles and keep hindered debuff on my opponent while timing my speed boosts at critical moments.

Sticky Soda Bottle didn't need a change because 7 bottles was already the cap before 7.6.0, but the new Cheap Gin Bottle is great. Looking forward to testing it out later today. New Huntress add-ons look great too, I like how it rewards hatchet hits for haste.

3% haste for 5 seconds is nothing considering the throw cooldown is almost 2 seconds.

For Clown this rework his huge hes gonna be a speed demon but huntress its a pretty big nerff

Its not like she needed the Buff she received to begin with. She was one of the most popular Killers before and I have seen nobody claiming that she needs Buffs.
But even IF the Devs thought that she needs a Buff, it was just wrong to keep her Belt-Add Ons untouched.

I was hoping huntress would instead reload 1 or 2 hatchets whenever they hooked a survivor with those addons instead but a 15% haste clown might be interesting

It affects the throw cooldown movement speed (3.74 m/s) for 2 seconds which is already not bad, and affects your normal movement speed (4.4 m/s) for 3 seconds. I'd say that's pretty solid for an add-on.

It does but it's still not worth it. Oak haft makes you recover from throws faster which makes you regain 110 speed faster. So Infantry belt is an inferior version of oak haft. On top of oak haft letting you throw faster and m1 faster. Besides nobody is gonna pick infantry belt over shiny pin. Not a single person lol. Almost every add on she has is better, not all but almost.

BHVR really doing everything in their power to get people to use yellow bottles.
This might do it like double speed seems nasty if you know how to use both bottles in a loop.

I'd like to see them give each killer 1 more bottle/hatchet, since now you get the big one for free, but you can't run the little one anymore. That way you can still get the same amount as if you use to take both ammo addons. Or give back the 1 extra one and keep the ones that gave 2 ammo as they reworked them.

Yup, it’s considered to be in the top 3 add ons for her. It has an insanely high pick rate and That’s why the tried to make her holding speed faster on the last PTB. 77% is far too slow when holding, slower than Nurse and slowest killer in the game on top of being 110. The only add on that’s considered better unanimously is Glowing Concoction
