Tell me what I we could have done or brought that would have made a difference here. Please. Tell me unbreakable, a 1 time use would have helped, DS...oh wait I was never hooked...OTR....oh wait I was never hooked.

Well even ignoring the multitude of anti slug perks that could have made a serious difference in this, y'all made many mistakes.
32 -
Anti slug perks like what? Name ONE that would have helped and tell me how it would have helped. He went from person to person downing one at a time leaving no time to do gens as we had to focus on pick ups since he wasn't hooking and the second someone got picked up he would m1 back down. Even if we had buckle up thats only 10 seconds of endurance and then you are back down. "Mistakes" such as? Losing at loops not designed well against a killer with good turn, high speed and a insta down that gets better as you use it with no downside? Oh right. Mistakes.
11 -
This is just a video of you and your team getting rocked
30 -
Solo q bud. And yes rocked by a billy not playing the game as intended. Leaving no time to do anything but scramble.
0 -
So at 18 seconds in the video what are you even waiting for? You spin in place losing you distance to the pallet which ultimately ends up getting you downed way earlier. Hell you should have been holding W from the moment he downed Zarina, especially after he decided to randomly saw presumably because he already saw your scratch marks from before. Your mistake there was either altruism or hesitation which lead to over altruistic actions of the other survivors.
27 -
Split up and let the grounded players fill their recovery bar, which can be seen on the HUD
Yall messed up horribly, you were not served an injustice17 -
No the problem is killer refused to hook anyone until he slugged all 4. That's the issue. Guess all the killer mains or on the forums tonight.
4 -
So it can't be you or your teams fault at all? Got it. But either way you and your team incentivized the slug and not hooks by not going for objectives and forcing chases away from the slugs.
Also saw in a previous message you said "not playing the game as intended"
Hope this helps (specifically the timestamp 1:38)24 -
That's exactly what the randoms did. Billy is so fast with so little recovery that he can instantly be on you the moment you are up
0 -
Man you are so disconnected from the survivor side or the game it's no wonder killers keep getting stronger and survivor gets weaker.
That vid proved what exactly? That it's not bannable to slug? Never said it was I said he didn't play as intended. You know hooking survivors. The way the game was meant to be played.
0 -
By it not being bannable means it is an INTENDED FEATURE. Bleeding out has even been said as a valid way to end the game as it's a way to make the sure the game doesn't go forever, just because YOU don't agree with it doesn't mean not intended. I pointed out clear mistakes on you and your teams side but it's something you don't want to hear. You and your team made mistakes against a killer player clearly not meant for your guys' caliber. But even then you guys yourselves incentivize the slug by staying near one another against an insta down killer. This could literally happen with old billy btw.
What you guys SHOULD have done is spread out on gens especially against a billy and start running at the first sign of terror radius until you're forced to actually loop. But your one mistake spiraled into the whole team getting slugged. You might not like to hear it but that is the absolute truth of the situation.25 -
I spy a killer main
0 -
So someone pointing out genuine mistakes and giving you advice = killer main? Take a step back from your current view and look at what you and your team could have done better in that situation. If you don't believe me ask a good survivor player like Ayrun, JRM or Knightlight what you did wrong there. I guarantee they would tell you the same thing I did. Given that the billy player was extremely good it looks like you didn't stand much of a chance anyway if he did hook you guys. Would most likely end in a cycle of someone unhooked and someone else downed 10 seconds later.
21 -
Judging from the reddit comments, it seems like you didn't get much sympathy there as well.
What are you searching for OP? Validation that Billy should be nerfed? Survivors should get some basekit for slugging?
13 -
Not using windows, not even predropping, wasting time wandering near slugged person without actually escaping, somehow going to progressed gen and instantly dies, all against billy
quite a lot going on there
13 -
Every down apart from when Ada picked you up you made a mistake you pathed badly on your first down taking the longer route to the pallet and waited outside the barn worried you would get curved when he wouldn't have been able to so you didn't even make it to said pallet. On your third down you did not try and play the pallet outside the barn you just went the same way as jake while knowing there was nothing to use in the barn.
A lot of people are saying you need to bring x or y perk but this is a skill issue combined with the fact your team was just not very good.
3 -
Misplays aside, I do think Billy needs some adjustments and Lopro needs to be completely reworked as that addon is utterly broken with zero counter play. If you are injured vs Lopro you either go down at a pallet or you throw the pallet and still go down.
I don't mind that Billy got a buff as I think he need it but I think it needs a bit of fine tuning (down)
3 -
Yeeeaaaaahh…..agreed. I saw MANY mistakes made ontop of no anti slug perks equipped. 0. Out of 16 perks not a 1? Uuuuufff….
1 -
Also agreed. I noticed this too.

It doesn’t matter how the killer plays. At the end of the day, as long as they’re dead, that’s all the killer cares about.
Didn’t you say he hooked all you guys at the end after he slugged you?
Sounds like to me he played in his own strategy and still did the objective he just didn’t play how you wanted him to play… RespectfullyPost edited by MechWarrior3 on5 -
hit the pallet or use windows

Window is counter at any point against Billy regardless of addon. But if you get caught at any loop with only a pallet… you die. There is no counter.
3 -
I'm currently trying a knock out challenge to find out how effective this unhealthy perk and the playstyle it incentivises is.
I'm using sloppy, surge, Stbfl and knock out on spirit with double charging addons. I try to get 4 hooks max.
Until now, I lost one out of 8 games. This only because I played really bad against a coordinated team where every player played really solid individually in the one game. In the other games survivor got 3 gens max.
Slugging is extremely strong and is done for a reason. Billy is just a character that can do it better than others.
This comes down to what the priority of a player is. Is it simply winning or is it a fun experience for everyone.

- after the first down, you hesitated and run circles, why?
Just hold W and gain distance to do an objective. - After Ada is near you, 3 ppl are around you trying to rescue. Only one is doing gens.
If you dont do your objective and everyone is hovering around, the killer has no reason to hook.
Slugging you was actually the best action he could do! - You havent used lithe once, you at least, had 3 chances to use it.
- Your looping skills are not good. Knowing you cannot loop billy you should have gone to a stronger tile which would have been possible if you used lithe or wouldnt waste so much time running circles (pointing to nr. 1 and 3)
Many other stuff here but just trying to lay out all your mistakes on the killer, wont get you out of these situations…
6 - after the first down, you hesitated and run circles, why?

It's so interesting seeing people discuss this stuff. When the anti-slugging / insta-mori PTB happened this was an issue and the update had to be canned, but when Billy can do it, it's fine and it's exploiting enemy mistakes.
To this day I can't believe the only people risking anything when a slug happens is the survivors instead of the killers. What's the point of hooks anyway.
3 -
When there are this many mistakes, you can't ingore their impact.
For example, If a group of survivors decide to hook bomb and body block the killer to prevent a hook, all survivors in one place tanking hits, then they all get slugged in one spot, they brought it on themselves, and no amount of "anti-slug mechanics" could possibly mitigate this without absolutely destroying killers in games that aren't thrown this way.
This game was similarly a perfect storm of mistakes. Hesitating and staying close to downed survivors, not using the resources available to maintain distance at or between loops, despite going against an instadown killer.
If the killer played this recklessly by say tunnelling one survivor who was impossible to catch, they'd get wrecked by 3 gens popping at once before their first hook. That would also be a huge mistake on the killers side, not "a problem with gen speeds", and you have to acknowledge that the mistake was the issue.

- You have a flashlight. He can't pick up the Zarina after he downed her. Slugging and going for you was the only thing he could've done there.
You also went down under a pallet and Ada was nearby, so he couldn't pick you up either. If Ada had waited to start healing you after he picked up Zarina instead of starting it almost immediately, then this may have gone differently.
After that there was also someone else right in front of him at all times. Why not down them for extra pressure? You guys kept running straight into each other and never used anything to make any distance.
This was just a bunch of massive misplays on everyone's behalf. There were tons of things you all could have done differently and then the killer wouldn't have been able to pull any of this off. The Billy shouldn't have to handicap himself just because you all messed up.
7 -
There was absolutely nothing you could do.
Because spreading out to take away all the info he obviously got from Lethal Pursuer is not an option. Neither is running Unbreakable, running towards a safe loop, crawling somewhere else, actual looping, or picking up the slugs when he isn't right next to them. These are not at all possible ways to avoid something like this.
Honestly, there was only one real issue in that video and that was Ada getting screwed because she played on a controller. Devs, please! This is not ok. Console players should not be punished by bad controls.
9 -
Who is to say that this is not intended? This doesn't fall in any category for a report and the objective of the killer is not to get hooks but only kills. For all we know this could be just as intended as survivors doing gens.
2 -
You all made mistakes which have been pointed out but I disagree with the suggestion that you should have used specific perks to counter the slugging. You can’t really know that a killer is going to slug before they do. I would say it isn’t even a common playstyle. Bringing perks to potentially counter that could be a waste of a perk slot.
3 -
its called snowballing
3 -
You can’t really know that a killer is going to slug before they do.
Fair but that's kind of the point of most perks, isn't it? To counter things that may or may not happen. Distortion is another example of this. So is the Blast Mine or Mind Breaker (the main strength is to counter exhaustion perks, which may or may not be in the game), technically Undying (you can ignore most hex perks and get through), Shattered Hope and Enduring.
I think that some of them could probably use some additional effects, so that they don't become completely useless when the situation they are supposed to counter doesn't occur but we already see what happens when some perks always work. They are overused. For example Pop and Pain Res. Even BBQ to a degree and that hurts me to say because it's my favorite perk. The same goes for Lithe and SB as well as WoO etc.
5 -
if slugging was unintended then it'd be a bannable offense like abusing an exploit. Theres plenty of perks that would've helped this situation, not that they'd have been needed if the team played better.
Split up so downed survivors can fill their recovery bar and so billy cant snowball as easy. Or bring unbreakable, buckle up, mft, wglf, ftp, etc.7 -
Can't you rebind your controls on controller so this doesn't happen?
0 -
What am I watching? I'll be the first to complain about solo queue, but this isn't that. You're out of position twice and then your pathing doesn't allow you to make the pallet.
14 -
spins in place
loses hard
😠
13 -
*Killer doesn't pick up someone because there's a survivor with a flashlight around*
Survivor: "Oh, so you're slugging?lol
I don't know how to tell you this, bud, but if you play as killer and you have all 3 survivors around the downed surv, there's literally no reason to pick up. Maybe try playing a bit more as Killer so you can grasp basic concepts like these. It would make your Survivor experience more enjoyable and would make you more skilled as well
19 -
Mistakes were made… so many mistakes.
No amount of perks would have helped that team, be glad it was over rather quickly.
12 -
To be fair, to take away his Lethal value, every Survivor would need to split up and run in separate directions.
Likewise, running UB would require prior knowledge of the Billy wanting to four man slug. It's usually a dead slot, because tunneling is more lucrative than slugging, at the moment. I also don't think it would've changed anything.
2 -
To be fair, to take away his Lethal value, every Survivor would need to split up and run in separate directions.
Which is something that should be done against insta down killers anyway. Running around them just gives them a chance to down more people and you, as a survivor, know that. Also, it would be enough for 1 person to just make distance somewhere else for this extreme case to not work out, since they could come back and pick up a slug when the killer is somewhere else. But all of them remained in the general area.
I think 1 out of 16 perks used for UB isn't too much, is it? Yes, you don't know if someone else has it (different issue, that DBD Mobile already solved) but generally speaking you could use it as a pre caution.
5 -
I'm gonna go with what someone in that reddit thread said:
Survivor with a flashlight not throwing the game for a save challenge (impossible)He downed Zarina, saw scratchmarks/saw the gen had progress, and knew at least one of you had a beam. He's supposed to pick her up in the open?
The you had a decent tile to loop him on for a bit, but decided to run into the open because you thought a pallet might be better. Then Vittorio saves you, you get downed again, and somehow he gets downed 3 seconds later. Not gonna lie, this is looking like a skill issue. Ada seemed to be the only one that knew what she was doing.
8 -
True, but this is a problem with the game in general. A killer can't know that survivors are gonna last second swap to 4 flashlights and should have brought lightborn. A killer can't know that they are against an efficient SWF team that is gonna slam gens hard and should bring a ton of gen defense. A killer can't know that you have flip flop until they get hit by it.
This is fundamental problem with the game itself, where, because you can't know anything, you take the perks that are useful in the largest number of situations. Which is why survivors take the same 10 perks and killers take the same 10 perks.
3 -
It's not one out of sixteen perks, it's one out of four. Survivors can't be considered a team.
You can only bring four perks, and by taking a precautionary perk like UB, it's likely you'll be handicapped elsewhere. I do not like this more modern DBD idea of needing to run perks to have a chance at an enjoyable experience.
Takes out build variety and you never see silly builds anymore, because it's not worth it.
5 -
Even without Lethal splitting up is usually the best option.
I honestly don’t even think Lethal affected the outcome of this game anyway since Lethal would’ve ended a while ago and the Billy most likely found them because of the scratch marks they left.
Whole thing could’ve been avoided had OP just not stuck around the killer for so long.
6 -
Perks are specifically designed to help you out where you struggle. I agree that no perk should be an absolute necessity (like BT or Shadowborn) but that's not the case for UB. It's just one of many things, that would have helped here. I would have made the same argument for exhaustion perks, if they had just played bad in chase. Or to bring an info perk, if they as a killer and could not find survivors.
4 -
Disagree.
BHVR uses perks as band-aids for bad game design.
3 -
Was about to do the same thing lol
0 -
You do realize survivors control the game right? Killers can only capitalize on survivors mistakes. His skill is irrelevant if survivors don't mess up.
5 -
lol, they do not, ESPECIALLY not for a Killer as strong as Billy
3 -
No this is on the survivors, i have grips with billy but survivors threw that game
