give killers the ability to move their camera when picking up, or shorten the pickup time animation
picking up a survivor takes 3 seconds. survivors can cover 12 meters of distance in that amount of time without background player, and get a flashlight or flashbang save, and insist its a skill issue, so ok keep ur perks just allow killers to move their camera as they pick up, and if they manage to get a save that way, then they truly are gods among men.
all im saying is that picking up survivors takes too long, fire up is too weak to use, walls are no longer counters, so let killers have some sort of defense against saves instead of running a perk to do so.
or the ability to cancel a pickup
the window to flashlight save is too long

Not sure how you'd balance this unless you make flashlights stronger again, in a basekit sense. Being able to easily avoid lights like this kinda defeats the purpose of flashlight saves.
That said… I am kinda shocked after all this time there's no perk that just speeds up pickup speeds like we have a breaking speed perk or a missed attack recovery perk.

fire up speeds up pickups but its 4 percent for every gen popped so in endgame its 20 percent faster pickup, but, its endgame….

As long as DBD has been out, it's kinda wild to me only Fire Up gives this bonus.

if they buffed fire up to only be pickup, hooking, and drop speeds and its always 20 percent, id run that perk for life

Or you just learn how to play against flashlights. Such claims are just showing youre dont know how to play vs flashlights nor you understand how impossible saves would be with such changes.

its too easy to save, 3 seconds is too long, and if killers look at wall, they still get u with a flashbang, so whats the counterplay there? run lightborn? cmon.

Right. Like I’m not sure why these survivor mains don’t get it. Only survivors should have to run perks to counter things (including killer perks). Killers need their perk slots to stack slowdown.

Yeah, so if you have issues use Lightborn. Thats exactly whats this perk is meant for. Or use some aura read to scout the area (infectious, Darknes revealed or whatever). Like, if you do not want to adapt to a situation thats entirely avoidable by preparing for it in before, its just another case of killer entitlement.

i disagree its entitlement, i would say this is survivor entitlement because u accept that it should work even when kissing a wall and still stunning the killer. thats the debate here. not out in the open. i did the correct play.

You did not do the right choice. Its not a flashlight. Its a flashbang. Entirely different technical situation. And you show again that you do not understand this. And you disagreeing does not make it any more right.

Your counterplay to flashlights without Background Player is either staring at a wall or chasing the survivor with a flashlight away. One of which pretty much always works and if it doesn't, the survivors did something right and deserve to be rewarded for that.
Background Player is a whole seperate issue. As are flashbangs (glitches and sound occlusion disable their counterplay).

For years I've wanted a perk that allows you to pick up survivors 30/40/50 percent faster

When kissing a wall if you’re afraid of a possible Flashbang FAKE YOURE PICK UPS AND LOOK AROUND CORNERS.
literally doing 2 of those tricks will help most of you’re issues with Flashbang saves and is mostly a skill issue on you’re part since Flashbang saves are easier to deny compared to flashlights the only thing flashbangs have over flashlight is the fact they can blind you when you’re against a wall but if you’re just careful and look around you before picking up you won’t get flash banged since Flashbang users have to get uncomfortably close to blind save.

u cant fake picking up against good survivors if the animation doesnt play, only demo could fake or hag by placing trap or portal

you fake pickups by waiting there and looking around can throw off timings so basically be unpredictable this works against all survivors including good ones if they attempt to and their late IMMEDIATELY LOOK UP and the blind won’t happen. Sometimes you can’t ALWAYS not get blinded and a good enough survivor can play their cards right and still get the save at that point even after all of that effort of preventing it they deserve it. But still doing what I said will prevent 90% of blind saves in general.
It’s part of the game dude and you have accept that it will happen and it’s not the end of the world if it does happen.

not the end of the world but it really steals alot of your time spent chasing and downing that survivor, match time is gen time

true but that survivor who is trying to save could also be a generator if they aren’t on a generator and the save doesn’t happen then that’s free time for you so it goes both ways as well if they mess up or if you play you’re cards right and use tactics to avoid blinds then you could eventually win off of that like wise it could be a net plus to the survivor who pulled off the save and costing you time but that’s the just the game and I shouldn’t have to explain the rest.
Macro knowledge stay on top of that if it you get blind saved early no big deal later into the game though when you get hooks and stuff, saves will matter more and you should be more wary about it when there’s 2 or 3 gens left

Without reading the entire discussion: Skill Issue.
Flashlight: Look into Walls
Flashbang: Player has to hide right next to you, just check the few corners next to the slug.
Background Player: Thats a Background Player Problem, not a Pick up Animation Problem
in that case you need to find the person running Background Player. Slug them if multiple people run it. Get rid of their Unbreakables. Stomp their boons. If you want to complain about the Dying on a Pallet Situation, that has been a thing since Power Struggle. People will abuse it, just slug them once you eat it. Same for Background Player.
Old DbD had like 5 Seconds of Pick Up and Insta Blind. Its balanced (apart from Background Player maybe)
You have like 1.5 seconds to get into position of a Flashlight Save and even less for a Flashbang Save. If its that easy why do you not abuse it every game? Sorry but that just sounds Inexperienced Killer Ranting.1 -
I would literally leave the game if flashlight/flashbangs were in different state.
This is THE ONLY fun factor/game charger that is a skill expression after all survivior nerfs. (yes, chases are fun but are more and more miseable after adding new killers etc)
