last chance
i think they should add a last chance as survivor who haven't been hooked the entire game. There will be times that i have not been hooked, then everyone dies and the killer gets me and i cant even try to unhook myself, we automatically die. shouldn't there be at least 1 last chance? even if it doesn't work? idk lol

Why? What did you do to deserve another chance? Your second chance is the hatch and you even get a third chance, if the killer closes it. I don't see why you should be rewarded for not pulling your weight by taking a chase. The less chases you take, the sooner someone else will die after all.

Your team is hurt more by you not taking chases, hooks are spread unevenly and people die faster

I consider it a failure on my behalf when I'm the last one standing and I haven't been hooked once. I shouldn't be rewarded for not using my hook states to try save my team mates.

That’s not entirely up to the survivor, is it? I’ve had plenty of games where the killer outright ignored me, even when I actively run in front of them.
As for the last chance thing. Consider what happens when there’s the possibility of still getting off:
The killer knows there’s still a chance, and will loiter around the hook.
The killer might even make an active effort to hook you far away from gates, as to minimise the effectiveness of the Endurance effect.
The idea of the last chance unhook is based on the premise that killer behaviour doesn’t change when this becomes a thing. Not to mention how shite it feels to be robbed of a clean victory because of random chance.

All true. I was thinking about how the iridescent unbroken emblem requires no hook states even though spreading hook pressure is better for the team.

Ultimately, if the last surviving player is hooked on first hook, even if they had the chance to free themselves, the killer would be on their arse faster than ######### on the pants after a sugary overdose of chocolate. It would just be postponing the inevitable demise.
I hear the logic behind it, but ultimately the killer would just wait it out.
