Why?
SImple question....why do you stand right neat hatch? Why do you just stand there you found hatch just go in. "Because I won and you lost." You were hooked, you've been injured and barely tried protecting your own teammates you rescued them but while I was like not even two centimeters away(for the American readers you don't know that's extremely short) so why are you teabagging hatch I'm not bothering to go near you because guess what I don't care this more me asking why not just go in. "Because I wanna give you BP." Hmmm doubt definitely doubt your going to go in by the time I make it to hatch no survivor ever just gives the killer BP. I won't lie...I would enjoy if they brought back the grab animation for hatch just so those way to overconfident players get their dreams crushed. I won't lie I only made this because I had to wait about four minutes while an Ada stood on hatch I broke some walls and pallets and just remained on the edge of the map your not really wasting my time but also yours and your SWF if their wanting to move on the next match.

Just the usual spite, be it waiting in the exit gates until the last second, sitting on hatch until an audience arrives, waiting in lobby until the last second to switch something or stealth around in a 2 vs 1 scenario.
Survivor love to waste time when it's against the killer but the second they get slugged, they cry rivers and scream "being hold hostage".
Of course those aren't necessarily the same survivors but the double standard and irony is always staggering.

the “watch me leave” attitude.
Wraith is sometimes able to turn it against them, if he can approach unseen. He can still close the hatch even when cloaked.

There was a time I was Spirit and had a Meg standing on hatch waiting for me. The Meg was foolish enough to try to mindgame my phasing and I slammed the hatch on her. She disconnected.

As Nurse, I've once landed right on top of the hatch and closed it.😋
The survivor learned a valuable lesson.

Its the same as to why people tbag in the exit gate, hit on hook or the notorious "humping".
They can bm you because you can do nothing against it.

Happened to me also a few years ago, was still quite new. Wasn't trying to be annoying, was just doing it for thrills. Didn't DC, just took it on the chin and not ducked with a Spirit again 😅

Some people are bad losers, and some are bad winners

Yes! As a former nurse main this was always so satisfying especially when you know exactly where the hatch will spawn ( due to their own offering).

I could understand it if the killer already knows that the gates don't favor him and therefore he wants to spot the survivor before closing it. Otherwise I don't see a reason to just wait there, other than trolling on wraith xD

i have no idea why players do this. I wanna assume they are kids but i know this isn't the case

Seems like the person achieved exactly what they wanted to achieve. They did well, you complained about it on the Forums, they won and got what they wanted.

Job well done

Maybe take a break if this is bothering you

Survivors love to waste the killers time even though they'll throw a fit if they get slugged for 4 minutes.

"They did well"? 😂😂😂😂
Survivor don't have to do anything but to outstealth the other 3, can never touch a gen or heal another survivor and hatch still spawns for them.
The only thing they irrefutably did well was A) hiding from the killer and B) be lucky with the rng to get to hatch first.
Anything else is speculation.

You did not understand my post. They did well because they wanted to annoy OP. And they succeeded.

Didn't catch anyone on the hatch, but once had a Kate who had been looping me for an entire game. She and other two surviors completed the gens, activated the exit. But when she saw that I wasn't going to give them an audience and watch her twerk, she ran all the way back from the open exit gate to taunt me and provoke me to chase her. I downed her. She DC'd. Lifted my mood a lot.

Ah okay so provoking a negative reaction out of your opponent where it isn't even a little bit necessary in a match is "doing well" according to you. Understood.

If thats what the Survivor wanted - yes. Because OP rushed to the forums to complain about such a small thing.
(Dont get me wrong, I think the Survivors behavior is childish. But it is equally childish to get upset about it)

This whole thread really just smells of us vs them.
Yes survivors wait at hatch, spam noise notifications and t-bag at gates
Yes killers wait at hatch, slug all 4 players to bleed out and hit on hook
Idk why we need more topics about "why does this happen", it's simply cause both sides have annoying ass players, who want to rile up the other side.

I usually wait for the killer at the hatch, but not for very long, because at this moment I feel like a child. A child who wants to show off: "Look what I found!" Funny.
It's the same on the gate: "Come and take me on my way, my sweet killer!"
This is childish and naughty)0
