Accessibility improvements for killer players

I use the visual terror radius when I play survivor and I can't help but notice what a massive buff this is for survivor players. I would guess that a vast majority of survivor players use it now because of the huge early warning advantage it gives. My question is this: why aren't killer players getting similar accessibility buffs? Do we not care about helping killer players who have hearing disabilities? I've seen people pose this question in the past but have yet to see any dev response on the topic. As someone who plays both roles in the game, it's discouraging to see that accessibility concerns get addressed for one group of player but not another.

    It is a killer's job to find survivors. For that they already have a plethora of aura reading perks, scratch marks, crows, failed skill check alarms. Besides, what would your suggestion be? You can't have a big arrow pointing on top of their head, that's for sure.

    I agree that killers have other tools to find survivors, but here's where I still have an issue with how accessibility is handled: I'm glad that BHVR helped out survivor players that have trouble hearing, but they gave all survivors (whether they have accessibility needs or not) a pretty substantial buff with the visual terror radius. I could be wrong, but I think it's pretty obvious that the reason they haven't done any similar accessibility improvements for killer players is that they are worried about complaints from survivor players about killers being "buffed". They clearly were not concerned about survivors getting buffed with the visual terror radius. It's a double-standard in how they are handling accessibility needs as well as concerns about how accessibility changes impact the balance of the game.

    There's definitely room for more accessibility options without affecting game balance.

    For example; when survivors make audible footsteps within 16m of the killer, there could be a compass reticule (like shooters have for directional damage). That would equalise the playing field for hard of hearing players, and players with and without headsets.

    Genuine question because I have to idea how these work. If they are directional, wouldn't this kind of defeat the purpose of shack and high T/L tiles since they would tell me where survivor is going?

    it literally gives the same info that the terror radius has been giving since release though? I don’t see this massive buff you are talking about?

    (There is some info against Onryo because her lullaby is shown more distinctly compared to the audio but I guess you didn’t mean that?)
