This stems because people think bodyblocking is good, which it isnt. What you should do is use ds and plot twist and after getting unhook go and undo the killers setup, use EMPs, trigger all the hags traps, trappers traps, place turrets, do the box etc… if the killer ignores you they lose all their power setup, if they try to avoid it happening you just plot twist and either you get fully healed or they get ds, no matter what the killer does you will win, thats how you should use ds.

A survivor that has not selected DS should not be getting value out of DS.

Killers have done this for years with Dead Hard. At this point, with the amount of perks in the game now, if a killer DECIDES to counterplay a perk or not, its strictly on them. Kind of tired of all these decisions made by [Any player] being the fault of the other players. Anyone's fault but the one who made the decision. That's strictly ego trying to safeguard the player.

Love your chill demeanor with dishing out the facts. But Im noticing people saying things like "But there's no counter play!" or something akin to it.

Choices having consequence is pretty vital to this game imo. But if everything in the game has to have a counter, then there's never going to be risk, other than not having the perk needed for a counter. Yur back and forth with @Devil_hit11 has been a good read, but eventually one of you will not have a counter to the other, and I wonder if that will be an issue in and of itself. Curious as to your thoughts on this?

I am just going to say this in every post when someone say killer is complaining about ds buff. Ignore them and get that win they deserve it. Ignore the its not fair to those who do not tunnel, ignore the its going make me slug /camp more. Make them be mad all the want they cause this on themselves.

Bet they regret complaining about perks like adrenaline=that was counterable or lil 3% made for this now. Killers are the one who harm themselves. Telling yall until we start the trial with 2 hook each injured and point at it survivors are to have 0 counter chances to anything.

    Bring a heal build=complain

    bring a anti tunnel build=-complain

bring a team save build =complain

    bring sabo/anti hook build=complain

    bring a loop build=complain

    bring anti slug build=complain

    bring a gen speed build=complain

    playing with family/friends=complain

Can anyone give me any of these on the list that killers do not complain about?

The counters aren't the be-all-end-all, IMO, but just a part of the balancing equation. If something has a counter, depending on the counter's accessibility, it is going to be 'weaker' than if it didn't have one.

Things like Deadline or Desperate Measures are fine, even if they have few/no easily accessible counters. DS packs a punch though, so it needs to have a counter.

If you spread the hooks, you will loose with 8 hooks at most and 4 escapes (and a bunch of teabags at the gates, of course). And even devs recognize that only kills and escapes matter for what is counted as a win. So if you play against a decent team, you either tunnel or loose. That's just how the game works, unfortunately.

And since this is how it is, Tunnel or lose, I dont think its fair to the killer. If its at the point you feel you absolutely HAVE to tunnel, isn't that a game design flaw? Something had to make you feel like this is the only way to play. If its 'Survivors play X or Y", then its still a game design flaw. IMO anyway. Thoughts?

So as a Killer we are supposed to know all of the Survivor's faces, how many hooks we got and when we got them

    Don't push that

If a Survivor wants to use DS they can

There's a big difference in Survivor induced Tunneling and Killer induced Tunneling

If a Survivor wants to body block then that is Survivor induced Tunneling, also if the Killer doesn't see the saving Survivor then again that's Survivor induced Tunneling… anything else is Killer induced Tunneling

And begging for a chase then claiming Tunneling is also nonsense… you wanted a chase and we gave it to you

I do not agree. killer plays the game on a clock so a perk slowing killer momentum can be the difference between wins and losses.

Which just means you make them use up their Unbreakable. The real, if unlikely, worst case scenario would be Soul Guard or Exponential since they're reusable.

Do you believe everything one side does should have a counter? Are there instances when something shouldn't be countered?

I'm doing this exact build and I keep escaping as long as the others do the gens, which they should be.

DS/UB/OTR and trying different things like Soul Guard. It's actually really effective at wasting the killer's time if you block off chases and doorways.

I don't understand other survs saying it isn't that strong.

Survivors are on the clock too.

Depends on the strength of the benefit. Counters are just a balancing measure, but not everything is strong enough to need a counter.

Take Weaving Spiders: would it be OP if gen-blocking didn't also cancel it?

I'd save your breath with this one. Even if you're able to say stuff that's common sense to everyone, such as the very obvious math/time that's in the survivors' favor, these gatekeepers will mental gymnastics you until you're blue in the face and you just give up. It's why I don't really use these forums anymore.

How is being slugged value? Value is being able to go free after being down. The purpose of the perk.

Polt Twist can only activate if the survivor goes into the dying state on their own. Hardly a good body block imo.

Have you never had more than one survivor down before? Can you not see situations where that is possible? Why should a perk deactivate because of another survivors incompetence? There's a reason why DS deactivates when the survivor does an action and not when an action is performed on their behalf.

Penance gives bodyblockers broken when taking a protection hit. Should DS deactivate when taking a protection hit

Whether they run it or not has nothing to do with it.

If you sink three perks into being able to do a single thing, should that single thing then not be possible because people attribute it to only one of the three components?
