Onryo on Game map
So I loaded in a game as survivor on the game vs a Sadako. Within 10 seconds I find a gen and hop on it. Killer starts teleporting, 1 stack condemned, 2 stacks condemned, 3 stacks condemned, 4 stacks, 5 stacks. All before I could even get 25% of a gen done really????? This was all within like 20-30 seconds. I suppose she's using that add on where you can just spam teleport non stop. So I get off the gen, grab a tape, 6 stacks. Get to the next TV to get rid of the stacks and the killer pops out of that TV as I reach it, fully condemned. I die.
2 minute game, riveting fun gameplay. Reached a few pallets and tried to circle back to the TV to cleanse the condemned but she downed me as I was putting the tape in. That add on is basically Tombstone Piece on that map.

Turn off the tv.

What TV? She's teleporting all over the map????
0 -
Turn off the TVs? Sadako main, Survivors have no reason not to grab a tape in her current kit. This game to me sounds like you made a bad choice in staying on the gen until it was to late
11 -
Does holding a tape make you immune? They've changed this killer so many times now that I guess I don't even know how she works anymore.
0 -
Turn off the TV next to the gen you are doing. Holding a tape is not the timebomb it was in her previous iterations.
3 -
The TV highlighted nearby you. You can see them in white if you're within condemned range.
6 -
Turn off the TV and you won't be racking up stacks.
4 -
The TV next to you. You gain stacks when she teleports to ANY TV if you are next to an active TV. So if you go grab a tape from the nearby TV you:
- Have a tape to later clear stacks
- Won't gain stacks because the TV is off
- She can't teleport to that TV for a while.
6 -
Also theres no addon for teleporting non-stop. That's just part of the base kit.

As others have pointed out, this is simply not understanding the mechanics of Onryo.
This scenario means you had a TV right next to you, which is now highlighted for you so you don't even have to find it, and sat there on a gen completely ignoring it while you watched her rack up stacks on you. Heavy misplay.
All you had to do was pick up the tape and get back on the gen and this entire scenario was countered.
2 -
on gideon and elementary school, Onryo condemn is not counterable. just accept your going get condemned in 3-4 minutes. you play the game as if you are playing vs old ebony mori's. OP right that Onryo becomes stronger tombstone myer's on said map.
2 -
Just turn off a tv.
8 -
she can just push you into other TV's.
1 -
I mean, not really. There’s a pretty hefty tell that TV’s are about to inflict a Condemnation hit. You just have to turn around.
6 -
Holding a tape no longer makes you immune, no (and getting hit while holding a tape also doesn't condemn you or destroy the tape anymore either).
When she teleports, you get condemned if you are within 16 meters of any TV that is turned on (not just the one she teleported to, any powered TV on the map).
So in order to avoid getting condemned in the scenario you described, you just needed to turn off the TV near the gen you were working on, this would disable it for 70 seconds and then you'd have enough time to do almost the whole gen before it turns on again.
Also one other thing, you mentioned at the end you went to the next TV to try to get rid of your condemn, you can't do that anymore either. To remove condemned, you can only use the TV that is shown to you in yellow which will be far away from the one you took the tape from. You can interact with other TVs while holding the tape (other than the target TV shown in yellow), but this will just turn them off and automatically gives you another stack of condemn (and doesn't get rid of the tape).
1 -
So there is this white gigantic aura you should be seeing when repairing a gen right? Go near that object and you will find a TV, interact with it to turn it off and make sure she cannot condemn you. Thats it, you solved this issue.

As it is a killer I don't seem to face often, I faced her yesterday, and could never clear all of my stacks. It was stuck at like three and a half. Is that a thing now too?
0 -
If she hooks you while you have stacks, they're "locked in", up to 3 per hook.
1 -
Yep´, thats the new Onryo
Nothing can be done except go next game
0 -
That’s a curious sentiment when the general consensus seems to be that she’s weak.
Which I might disagree with, tbf, but “going next” seems entirely unreasonable.

Sadako on Gideon meat plant is busted. I have been telling this since she came out.
I have, and I'm not lying here, NOT LOST A GAME WITH HER ON THIS MAP SINCE SHE CAME OUT.
This is not a problem with Sadako but with the map.
TVs are too close together. Condemned goes through floors. Condemning people on this map is extremely easy.
Gideon meat plant is the worst designed map in the game and should be changed.
Should have changed years ago tbh.
0 -
Good sadako will not allow that.

Friends. You are absolutely correct on every other map. But not on Gideon meat plant. Sadako just wins there. The size + stealth + condemned going through floors is busted.
Survivors will have to keep TVs down all the time. This means unlimited slowdown for sadako. Survivors also have to progress gens. If anything falls, the game goes downhill fast.
I have not lost a match on this map with her since she came out.
I had teams that did 3 gens for no hook. They didn't finish another one. Game just ended due to two mori's. No slowdown perks.
The Gideon meat plant is the worst designed map in dbd, that unfortunately makes our girl extremely busted.
I said this in both Ptb feedbacks. It got ignored.

Its just this map. Solely this map.
She just goes from ok to busted.
The Gideon meat plant was busted for OG Sadako and is busted for sadako 3.0 as well.
This map should have been reworked years ago.
0 -
I agree that this map needs a rework.
It's a pallet town and it's very small.
The bathroom is a death room.
The basement is just... there.
On an unrelated note, I like running perks like Nurses Calling on Nurse on this map, the value is guaranteed.

This all comes down to hwo this map is designed. It's super small, therefore stacked with pallets. Pallets only mind you. There are barely windows on Gideon meat plant.
Most of these pallets are so safe, that they need to be broken by most of the killer roster. This results in extremely one sided gameplay. Either the survivors will win hard because the killer can't get through all the pallets or the survivors loose because the killer can get through the pallets / had a mechanic to ignore it / runs surge.
No matter what the scenario is, the gameay is dull and boring. The map doesn't allow much else.
I'll repeat : it should have been reworked years ago.

So something like making it bigger and spacing out everything so there are less safe setups + nerfing some loops would probably help it.
1 -
Yes, that would certainly help. Loops should also be completely redesigned to allow more interaction.

I’m gonna need a definition of a ‘good’ sadako in this scenario.
I’ve found that survivors tend to backtrack immediately when they notice you’re trying to force a condemed stack. If you’re actively pushing a survivor into multiple tv’s, you’re gonna waste time you may as well have used to hit ‘em.
It just hasn’t worked out for me, ig.
1 -
On the game or on any kind of map?
0 -
Both, I suppose?
(that was a genuine ask btw, I realise I worded it a bit crass.)
0 -
Well, getting a condemned mori is more valuable than any hit so forcing people into TVs is a huge part of her chase. You chase people as close to it as possible. If they go back out of the range into you, you get a free hit. If they go too far into the range, tp to it. With bloody fingernails this can very often even result in a stack of condemned AND a hit.
On Gideon its completely stupid. The map is so small, that TV - ranges actually overlap. This results in extremely fast condemned build up because the entire map is basicly covered by the TV ranges.
0 -
it is not a map problem. it is sadako problem. her power is strictly not balanced correctly.
2 -
Disagree as usual.
The Gideon meat plant is the worst designed map in the game. Unfortunately it works in her favour. Similar is surge. An okayish perk overall. Except on this map. Its super strong on the Gideon meat plant becasue of the maps size.
Sadako is fine right now. A little undertuned but fine. You will not hear anything else from me.

Dude…. It’s a 16 meter blast radius. You don’t get 5 stacks in that short amount of time from her teleporting all around the map. It’s because you didn’t turn the tv off near you.😅😅
Behavior practically holds your hand now to tell YOU that you are getting condemned by showing a visual static 16 meter aura around the tv. If that’s not enough you get to see the TVs aura in white showing you which one is condemning you. If that’s not enough you get a directional audio sound of the tv that tells you which direction it’s in.
It’s not like the TVs have legs and walk around the map chasing survivors condemning you. At this point it’s your fault.
3 -
This is so far from the truth. It’s easier than ever to shut her down. I went against her yesterday, by myself turned off 4 TVs. She wasn’t able to get but 1 condemn stack on my friends.
I cleansed whatever I got easily without worry, nothing she can do about it either since I can do it right in her face with the fastest killer interaction in the game
3 -
Should have pushed back into the TV then.
0 -
You can also blame your teammates for not turning off tvs in their proximity.
0 -
weak in the hands of wrong people
like every single other killer

I've been playing a lot more survivor recently and have gotten Sadako on The Game a few times.
She has an advantage, yes, but the TVs are mostly still next to the generators and are still very easy to get with little to no downside. I once ran around turning off all the other TVs while she was busy and completely negated her movements on this map.
I'd even argue it's easier than Midwich due to the pallet density as well. And iirc there's one TV on Midwich under the music room generator that can be a hassle to reach, but if Sadako teleports to it she gets massively disadvantaged because she'd need to break the two walls leading up to that room.
