Usually you play a game because it's fun. You can express your skills in game.

you can still play for fun but I prefer some competition even if they just brought back losing pips it’ still gives something to work towards which I feel that we lose interest if there isn’t much challenge or anything to gain I suppose

They took away losing pips because people complained about it. They're whittling away at literally everything people complain about.

When you face a Skull Merchant, when your friends go down before the 1gen is over, when your Hex perk breaks in the opening 20 seconds, when you are chosen as the first chase. This is the result of BhVR answering the requests of players who abandon the game for various reasons,

I suppose the grading system is more an incentive to play each month rather than a 'rank' nowadays, so there's probably more argument to expose MMR now, or maybe a "ranked mode" for players who want to progress their skills.
Does DBD have enough players to regularly support 2 queues? Would the exposure of MMR be a good thing for the game, or would everyone play more sweaty? Is DBD a game that should be played competitively? All hard questions to say.

Grades are not mmr (the thing that actually goes up and down, and measures your skill, though many would disagree about that, I guess), and is used for bloodpoints every month when the grade reset comes along. It only served as a source of unnecessary frustration at times. Impossible to please dbd players, even with no brainer changes like this lol.

First of all: Pips aren't even comparable to skill, you get them anyways, sometimes even for losing xD
That being said:
No one sees it anyways, so there's not even a competetive aspect. You can show off your skills in the match if you have to do it so badly, but the grade of your roll is not da wae xD
And I'm personally motivated by just winning matches/getting better at survivor or my killer, maybe you should try that instead.

I didn't see any issues with having two queues with the modifiers we've had so far, so I think we have enough players to support two queues. Any more than that, idk…
