Chaos shuffle, its fun but... flashlights needs a counter
Fair enough that LB / Franklins / Fright are gone, thats the premise for the event. (and it is fun, i would love to see this as a permanent option).
But for the event, flashlights are really strong
When i do killer, i get blinded for every pallet i break.
If you get a down in an open area its often really hard to get them to a hook. If people know how to blind propperly you cant dodge the beam.
Perhaps put a limit to flashlights, or make items (and killer add-ons) random aswell.

I agree. I chose to dodge a few lobbies because of too many flashlights.

I mean, it is not even good to blind at Pallets.
But IMO it would make sense to remove all Add Ons, Items and Map Offerings from the mode. Some players really want to sweat in it and it should be a fun gamemode.

Yeah kinda sucks tbh. Playing killer isn't too bad but all my solo games killers have just had OP add-ons that everyone is obviously using up on tooms they don't play much. Should have just made it random brown addons and basic items.

Offerings are okay because bloodpoints but the others should be disabled. Items should be random.
Flashlights are super obnoxious if players want them to be and basically turn the game into prolonged slugfests.
I’d even argue certain perks should be disabled too because they are actively harmful without synergy but then some people might like that sort of thing. Had one game with No mither, Object of Obsession and Blood rush with no exhaustion perk.

Complaining about flashlights is the biggest self report skill issue, but items/killer addons should be randomized too

Problem or not, it's a bummer add-ons and items were allowed to be chosen.
Also would have been nice to have everything except BP offerings disabled.
The players who this mode appeals to most are not looking for opponents who give themselves every possible competitive advantage.

I couldn't care less about flashlights. It's 4 medkits with syringes or styptic that give me the chills.

Yeah, I did my challenges and a volunteer match as Killer a little while ago to let the 4 Survivors escape, hoping they were doing that last Tome Challenge.
Killers are playing super sweaty and Survivors are giving up immidetley or just straight up DC when they are found first.
Is there no DC penalty for the modifier? I saw far more straight up DC compared to give up on hook.

if players blind at a pallet, they aren’t making nearly as much distance as they could if they just ran. If a player is running around with you to blind you when you catch someone else, they’re wasting time instead of helping with gens. It many cases, you can down a survivor and face a wall or a very awkward angle to make it difficult. On top of this, survivors going for the blind save often are easily to spot or bait out and run off.
I’m not saying there aren’t moments where you simply are screwed out of the hook, but most of the time, it’s easy to counter and sometimes is even in your favor.

Chaos Shuffle either should give random items / addons / offerings aswell, or no at all.

In a future version I'd advocate for complete randomness, including items, offerings and the like.
Yet currently blinding at pallets isn't so much an issue since it gets the survivor less distance if you listen out for it in a good amount of cases, as well as the time they spend beaming you whilst you break the pallet, the effect has mostly worn off by the time you broke the pallet.

Sounds more like you fail to know how to use them properly, if you knew you would know that there are definitely cases where it cant be dodged. - Google it or looks at youtube, there are plenty of explanations / guides on how to do.

It's not like Lightborn and other perks mentioned can't appear in the random perks when playing either, I really don't get the op's complaints here.

I stand by my last comment, all your comment does, is to display your lack of skill using a flashlight, and it seems that you are even too lazy to google it, well here is a news flash for you. Im not your dad - i will not do it for you.

Let me explain it in detail, perks are random, flashlights are not. - There are 105 killer perks (if my math is right), thats less than 1% chance to get each perk, so if killers go against a team with 4 flashligts, they have less than 3% chance to get one of the 3 perks counter perks that i mention. - And as i said before, during the pickup animation, killers cant dodge the beam, and its not always there is a wall to face near where the survivor gets downed. - so thats a free save, if people actually know how to use a flashlight.

You know, sometimes its a wise choice to take a look around when you down someone. Going directly for a hook is prone to Flashlight Saves. Once you get the experience of downing two Survivors cause they tried to Flashlight it is beautiful.

Oh, I like the idea of making items/add-ons/maps random as well and limit offerings to BP offerings. More randomness and more chaos for everyone!
