BHVR, please make Chaos Shuffle a permanent feature - please comment if agree/disagree!
I'm sure this may have been suggested for previous Modifiers, but this mode is way more focused on gameplay and really lets you experience a full breadth of perks and possible/random combinations.
I've been playing since 2016 and I really feel this mode has given a new lease of life into DBD.
Its actually wonderful not going against Meta perks all the time. Just as a quick example, not playing against Pain Res/Corrupt almost every game as survivor.
I've been getting to play with all sorts of perks which I would never use normally - just today I was given Wake Up and really saw the difference.
Sure, I've got a randomiser website I use but what really makes it fun, is that EVERYONE in the game has random perks.
Please consider keeping this as a game mode for the future.

I absolutely love it. It's fun getting random perks and trying ish that I never really thought too much about AND it's great knowing that every player is in my boat so it's not just yet another 4 meta snoozefest.
I use a lot of non-meta perks because I find them fun so it's nice to have a mode where I can do that (even if I don't get to choose my non-meta perks) and not have to worry about getting curb stomped by someone playing like their life depends on winning the game.

I actually agree. I tend to use non-meta perks and change up my builds frequently as is, but obviously your games are still pretty beholden to the meta that killers and your team mates bring. This mode is definitely a breath of fresh air. I've had games where my perks have been absolutely useless and I've essentially had to play perkless, and it's nice knowing everyone else is playing the cards they're dealt too and may have to rely solely on mindgaming or falling back on whatever skilled plays they might have up their sleeves. Ive had the last few days to myself, with my hubby on a fishing trip with mates and my kids at my mum's house, and I haven't touched regular DBD once. Just been playing the modifier for way longer than I'm sure is reasonable lmao I'd love to keep it

Totally agree, especially since Zubat gave me the wonderful idea of putting on a perk icon pack that makes everything blank
that way you dont even know what youre running :)

I 100% agree its actually fun to not go up against the same perks every single match and its actually fun to play around perks that you almost never see
2 -
I still think all these modifiers should be a permanent addition to custom lobbies at the very least.

Petition for Chaos Shuffle to be permanent pls. Heck, it even slightly increases soloQ quality (dont worry am still potato and die alot, but games feel a bit more balanced)
5 -
Would love that too. It is just so much fun and refreshing!

I agree

Yes please!

If they make addons and items also random and disable map offerings for it, 100%.
2 -
They should only do it if No Mither is removed from the Survivor’s perk roll. Too many instances where either I or someone else gets completely screwed over by it.

More than half of killer roster is literally unplayable because they require at least semi-decent perks but sure, make this unbalanced mode permanent. Most fun mode to play as survivor, especially when killer has 0 gen slowdowns and 0 detection perks.
0 -
It's optional. You can still play regular DBD. No one is asking for the modifier to replace the actual game.
5 -
As I said, it's an unbalanced easy mode for survivors. But w/e, as you said, it's an optional thing, I'm just expressing my opinion and experience with it.

Get survivors who don't do stupid sh*t and play against them with 0 gen defense and detection, then come and tell me how this mode feels.
0 -
Yes you did. You surely did.
0 -
Against SoloQs who clown around? Sure, many can.

unplayable?

Apparently scoreboard is a good indication of skill. Yes. Very good.
Should had made few screenshots myself where survivors were running around like headless chickens.

I'm not projecting anything here.
Apparently we have different definition of good teams but w/e. This topic is not about that.

Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like the games have been tough. I on the other hand, as killer, am rocking 2/3 kills almost every game.
Yes there are some rough games, but overall, when I'm playing as killer and not having to rely on slow down perks, getting perks that are dealt to me I'm enjoying it much more.
Like in one game, I was given this build and I managed to escape and importantly, have some fun. I was one health state down, unable to use FTP and/or Solidarity… not sure how this game was in a killers favour.
I'm not saying you're bad but it sounds like maybe the survivors just played better.
I often play 2-perk trapper in the normal version of DBD and often manage to get 2-3k (not always) but that's the gimmick. Try to have a bit of fun with random perks it's not all about winning/losing for me in this mode. Of course I WANT to win, but I'm fully expecting to get destroyed in some games because of my ######### build.
1 -
are you gonna win every game? No
But is it unplayable? Far from it that’s an exaggeration
2 -
Yea this is a good point. If BHVR Dev's do read this, keeping it to the topic is great. I'm happy to hear why you'd disagree but not sure that "oh its survivor sided" can be seen as valid.
But understandable, Gen slow down is important, hence Pain Res being top tier meta perk.
I guess for those people who don't want to play this game mode, don't have to. That's why it's a wonderful addition.
It could almost be seen as "competitive + casual modes" really. So there's an idea.

You should really learn to read other people's posts better. Also bragging that you won a match with no perks or w/e against clearly clueless survivors doesn't suddenly make your point valid.
0 -
I'm not crying. Again learn to read and learn to reply properly.
0 -
I don't care about your so-called evidence. I also find your posts provoking and not contributing to this discussion.
0 -
And that's fair enough. The results of my games have been pretty much the same as regular mode (not winning any more or less) but the games themselves have been alot more fun, unpredictable, and if anything they feel alot closer in terms of skill. There's been no real steamrolls from either side.
3 -
Please don't talk to me. If there's anyone who's provoking or trying to fight with someone it's you.

Most of my games for some reason are clearly swfs with good draws where I keep getting 4 chase perks that don't even stack together. The only perk value I got was lightborn against 3 people with flashlight twice in a row, which makes me think certain perks might have higher odds of rolling out, but that needs confirmation.

Disagree- it should only be a mode during events, it should be special. It'll end up being boring, like how people wish Christmas is everyday, then Christmas won't feel special anymore. Same kinda correlation
1 -
They should absolutely keep this. I'm having so much more fun not worrying about meta perks and not caring what perks i'm using. I feel like in normal mode you just can't play with silly perks since you know every killer has the 4 most used perks and survivors have the 4-6 most used perks. You go in with red herring and no mither you know whats going to happen. At least this mode forces everyone to play with silly perks.
One thing i wish behaviour would change is the items. Make it so survivors can't pick and choose their item. Go fully random with items and perks or only allow items from boxes… oh and don't allow map offerings. That should be random too.
2 -
I agree. Its been such a breath of fresh air to be able to play games knowing you won't be going against the usual stale meta.
2 -
I agree
No mither is stupid af
And i'd like to see random items and random addons aswell, it would add to the fun (the probleme is that if you dont know what you addons do, you cant check them in game unlike perks)

I love the Chaos, I love the weak builds, I love not being accused of bringing sweaty perks.
I love watching the streamers still enjoying Shuffle mode. I love the weird pseudo gambling of hoping for a half-decent build. I love that this has brightened up the streaming/youtube dbd space. I've never been so excited, and satisfied with something so simple2 -
I want this to be a feature. I also want the game to randomly give me addons and offerings.
It is just great to have all that stuff off my mind.
0 -
this is so true. it's just nice not having to always run meta perks on both sides!
0 -
My feeling is they should remove map offerings all together in general - but the items/addons is what gives the killer/survivors some extra options for the gameplay so happy to keep that in there.
Thinking of it from a BHVR point of view, I think this would still even work just offering perk choices based of what characters someone has purchased.
I know there is a want for competitive/casual mode and I think this game mode is 'an in-between'.
I really really hope the Devs see the love for this <3

I’ve had some great matches in Chaos Shuffle, but if it’s going to be a permanent mode I’d like to see a few changes:
- No map offerings. It’s one thing to get a bad map by chance. It’s another entirely for survivor teams to send you to Garden of Joy or Ormond consistently because even the best perks won’t help you there. Conversely, I doubt it would be much fun for survivors with No Mither and Self Care to be sent to Midwich by a Nurse main.
- Item/add-on changes. Similar to the above, a mode that’s meant to be about goofy randomness feels much worse when all four survivors have brought styptics and syringes or Brand-New Parts, while most killers have such a clear hierarchy of add-ons that there’s no reason run most of them. I’d say that on the Survivor side at least they could be randomised, but you can’t do that so easily for killers since there are contra-indicative add-ons for several killers. Maybe a limitation to Uncommon add-ons?

Yes! I've been loving this mode since it came out. Really freshens up the game. Takes off some pressure. Makes it feel a bit more fair. If it was made permanent, it might just be the only mode I play except for when I need to do specific perk challenges.

I'd love for this mode to become a permanent feature (or at the very least, to make frequent returns). I didn't initially have a good time, because the other side seemed to be sweating their hardest to win. But now that the games have become a lot more chill, I'm having so much fun. I haven't even touched the regular mode since the event started.
The only thing that I think would improve it is randomised add-ons and items with no offerings allowed other than the BP ones. I enjoyed My Little Oni (even if I barely got to play it), but out of the modifiers so far, Chaos Shuffle is easily my favourite. I could see it maintaining appeal as a permanent game mode.
