DC penalty for idle crows
So like is this a thing now? I was bled out on the floor and had 3 idle crows on me. The match was done and I get a penalty for it. Like what's going on. Anyone else experienced this?

Thats the first ive heard of it only Killers have a afk DC penalty to stop afk farming Survivors shouldnt have it

Ironic. Yea. Mine was a skull merchant and I was bled out. I go to do other things, come back, then returned to the lobby with a 1 min penalty. Like, huh?!

Never had that happen to me before, that's definitely not good at all, and should be fixed asap.

Wait is this for real?? I always go fold some clothes or something when I get left to bleed out... now I'm gonna be punished for something outside of my control? BHVR?

Both sides have dc penaltys and both sides should absolutly have it.
ofc not for the reason op just mentioned.3 -
Seems like the afk penalty is universal.
Sounds fair to me when I as the killer also can't no longer go afk against a bully squad I am not prepared/equipped for to deal with as a casual, be it perks, killer or basic game experience.
Bleed out is at least a fixed time (except for the real rare toxic juggler). Killer that are outclassed are at the mercy of bully squads and have to endure until the squad loses interest and finally finishes the game, speaking from experience.

The difference is that Killers get disconnected if they are AFK since some Killers used this to farm Iri Shards and Rift Fragments, since the Killer is in the game for the whole Trial.
For Survivors such a AFK-penalty did not exist, because a Survivor being AFK is usually resolved by them being found due to the idle crows and then sacrificed.

Anti afk feature it can happen for surv & killer if they go afk too long

That's a great mechanic.

Ahh i thought he meant the generel dc penalty.
Did not knew they added a system which autokicks afk killers.

Want a penalty to players who are not able to play the game by being slugged because they decided to tab out.
I definitely do not want to meet you irl.

BHVR VERY WELL DONE!
This is indeed a GREAT MECHANIC.

Maybe they'll find in themselves to go away from the killer, go toward a friend, find the hatch, …

So someone that uses Knockout on group of solos to waste their time with bleed out can also get those survivors eat a DC penalty if they don't move around to avoid crows?
1 -
But you still get idle crows even when you crawl around. It definitely isn't fair to get a DC penalty in spite of that.
1 -
It's not about the crows, it's about doing nothing.
I don't believe that one gets a DC ban when crawling.
5 -
Survivor stays in one spot so killer can just find and hook them when being slugged, gets crows while waiting, gets dc penalty: "should've crawled around, then you wouldn't get DC penalty."
Survivor crawls around to avoid DC penalty from idle crows: Killer "why do survivors crawl around when slugged, I have to bleed them out because now I can't find them."
5 -
Well, being slugged isn't "unable to play the game" it's a (boring) part of the game.
And yes, I find it fair if one side can't do it neither can the other.
But hey if you think that this is enough to insinuate something about me, my personality or character, then I guess it's good we will never meet.
Edit: Btw I am also in favor of removing early exit by hook. Either both get a penalty free exit or none.

We definitely need some official commentary on this. If it's not a bug, BHVR just outdid themselves.
3 -
That's a good point.
But do we know if it happens at all while slugged?
0 -
AFK-kicking slugged survivors seems like an awful idea, especially given that for 99.9% of cases survivors cannot control whether they’re slugged.
1 -
Wait is this an actual thing? If it's not a bug then it's gonna be a miserable thing

There should not be a DC Penalty if you are slugged and receive crows, if you do get a penalty for this then please make a bug report and add the game logs to the report, thank you!
