Why did you choose your forum pfp?
Just something I’d be interested to hear about!
Why have you chosen your current pfp and what were your first - or prominent previous pfps?
I have for the people because it is probably my most defining perk and as I can’t loop, can’t use flashlights, barely hit flashbangs, use no exhaustion perks, For the People and Boon Exponential are probably my most associated perks. All my friends I play with probably characterise me with For The People too so that’s why I have mine.
I’m guessing some might be whimsical and some somewhat symbolic but sure there are some interesting stories from vets and
lurkers alike out there and would love to hear your stories!

haha me too! I am known for massaging the boons on maps! On chaos mode, I keep seeing loads of totems and then get crestfallen cos I don’t have my normal build (*´･ｪ･`*)

I really like the perk icon of Vigil and I think it’s kinda fitting for me personally even if I don’t really use it in-game - supportive and looking out for others.
Had rainbow birb for a while after it got added for obvious reasons and do love them very much. But in the end it’s Fridges pfp really. I still use the charm on all my chars always.
I would use the perk icons for Light-Footed (because best cat) or Lucky Star (because it’s such a great icon and such an iconic scene)

Maining Pig is the best DBD experience there is. You see it all. The upps, the downs and most importantly, the memes.

I really find it interesting because there are so many perks and characters so choosing one that represents us on the forums can be like a ‘charm’ in game in many ways!

Yeah I have a pig main friend and they always say that though the macro game is challenging, it’s really satisfying! Stealth killers like pig, myers and ghostface tend to also give me the most ‘horror-like’ experiences in game!

Because I like to play killers people consider weak so last year I started maining freddy, to me it's more challenging than bringing nurse whom I've got thousands of hours on and trying to slug everyone in under a minute and a half, I seriously used to be that guy when I was doing comp who would go into pubs when my squad wasn't on and set a timer for 1 min 30s and if I couldn't slug everyone in that time frame I lost in my mind but still played the game out like normal, nowadays I enjoy the excitement these weaker killers give me as far as chases and just interactions in general even if I lose because it's way more fun this way for me personally, and I don't have some ridiculous standard I'm trying to uphold I'm just having a good time

Maining Pig isn't just for DBD... it's a calling in life.
Similarly chose this one as I'm also a Pig main, but prefer the perk icon with the Pig in it over the character portrait. When I unlocked the charm icons in game, I equipped it on all my survivors (and ofc my Pig hooks).
I rarely use Surveillance, but I still try to build around it every now and again. 😁

My previous profile pic was dwight as he was the first character i mained, but then i changed to gabe. he reminds me of a person i once knew a bit, and i also really like his lore

- I have the Jeff icon because he was my "first love" on DBD. He was (and still is) an underused character and I like being different from the majority. This passion of mine for peculiar characters continued with Zarina, Alan and Cheryl (even though Cheryl is still a popular character in the community). I have no particular preferences about killers because (for me) everything depends on their power and not on their aesthetics… so no one could be my "alter ego"

Originally it was BBQ because it was my favorite perk due to the extra BP and mini game of getting on hook each.
Now it's Lightborn because I once made a joke by saying "all our Lord and Savior Lightborn 😎", ran with and now I am it's apostle in this forum.
PRAISE BE THE SHADES.
(Also I was a filthy casual killer and not having to worry about beamers was so relaxing.)

Oni was one of my first killers and got him as he seemed so powerful. He is also cool killer and has amazing design. He was my favourite killer and put him as picture when joined on forums. But I rarely do play him anymore but picture still stays maybe I change it soon.

You might find me! There aren’t too many people that play Onryo so if you get one there’s a good chance lol. I wish we could actually see our killers individual mmr’s though, I’d like to see how my Onryo compares to old mains. I’m currently on a 148 win streak with her, no tunneling!

Mine is Resilience because you need a lot of it to be playing Solo Q some days! (and I like the perk too).

Some of my most memorable games in terms of horror and scare factor have been with Good old Mikey! Win lose or, well mainly lose in my case, Mikey matches are always fun - even tombstone ones lol

bird lady is very cool! I think I started the game around when her character was introduced and the old eyrie map (yes I know everyone hates eyrie but it was my introduction to the game and I have fond memories of it and the sky colour - felt very ethereal!)

Not trying to burst your bubble but I think the devs stated that all general perks were once teachables from survivors (or I guess killers) that are now in the void. So I think it’s not supposed to be Meg. Also possibly the same survivor for ‚This is not happening‘
I can see the resemblance to Meg though, especially in the expression on the Resilience icon

For the longest time I played the game through this perk. It felt weird to take it out of my loadout once it was unneeded. So I keep it out of remembrance. I haven't changed from it in forever. Motion sick players FTW.

I think this is more of a case of all characters having 5 teachables before the game went open beta. You can see a fair few traces of that in the general perks, ie., Meg with Resilience and This is Not Happening and Wraith with Unrelenting. Some more out-there guesses would be Iron Grasp for Trapper, Sloppy for Billy, etc.
I think there's even a few that would've been part of later characters' sets, like Whispers & Bitter Murmur for Nurse and Spine Chill for Nea. Hag, who was first conceived as the 2nd killer (thus replacing Wraith) could maybe have had Thrill of the Hunt and NOED? Ace could've had Plunderer's, and maybe og Slippery Meat, since those are both luck-related.
Lorewise, you might be right though.

it does feel like they do make the lore up as they go so technically it would make sense if these were Meg perks at some point.

I like the idea that general perks belonged to Killers and Survivors that got tossed into the void by the Entity.
This makes a lot of sense. This Is Not Happening and Resilience compliment Adrenaline really well and it's easy to see how they might have all been teachables for the same character at some point. Also, Meg's Adept icon uses the same art as Resilience (but with different hair), so that's some more evidence to back up the theory.
