MY DBD IS CONSTANTLY STUTTERING, I BEG YOU PLS HELP ME!!
I'm on Steam, PC.
This is happening since this patch, but I don't recall it happening after 7.7 immediately.
I don't know WHAT is happening, but Dbd is doing so freaking bad with every killer I'm playing, literally.
I tried to put the game at 60 fps, but nothing, every time a survivor does an action, like using Sprint Burst, I stutter for like 0,1 seconds.
I ever reinstalled the game, but nothing, I still keep MASSIVELY stuttering.
They're like "consistently inconsistent".
Does anyone have any idea on what could be causing this?
I already tried using dx11.
Dbd is on an SSD, and before with my Nvidia gtx 1070 and my Intel 10400 processor and 16 GB of RAM has always ran smoothly.

Try if forcing the game to use DX11 instead of DX12 helps.

Since 7.7.0 a lot older pcs have had major performance issues for two reasons. 1. The game has been updated to Unreal Engine 5. 2. The game now uses DirectX 12 by default instead of DirectX 11.
It might help to put -dx11 in your steam advanced launch options. This makes the game use DirectX 11 again instead of DirectX 12. This helped me, performance went back to normal-ish.
Aside from that there could be many other causes. From the top of my head lack of RAM could be one.0 -
I tried to do that, but it doesn't help, it still stutters in game. The stuttering happens always when some sort of action happens.

What storage device do you have DBD installed on? I know this can be an issue with HDDs. Also, have you tried verifying the integrity of the game files via steam?

I did verify the game files, but nothing. same thing.
I've always had Dbd on my SSD.

Hmm. I'm really not sure what to suggest then :( Maybe a support ticket could help?

I could try.

The usual reply from BVHR is the following one:
"Declined · This looks like a technical issue, if you still require assistance please ask other forum users in the Ask the Community sub section as we do not offer technical support on this forum."
Usually does 'Technical issue' mean you have "to update all your pc especially to run a UE5 game as DbD properly" ?0 -
Same thing here. ryzen 9 5900, 32gb of 3200MHz RAM, high-end SSD and gtx 1070.
dx11 doesn't help.
We have same graphic card, seems like a problem.
Playing game on 1366x768 helps, but it sucks.

Helps, but does it solve the problem?

seems like our gpu is just not good enough for new engine ;)

I have a 4070 super and a little time after UE5 the game has ran terrible when using gsync. Was fine when it was first updated to UE5 then performance has not recovered since. I won't be buying anymore content until it's addressed it's shoddy as hell!

It doesn't seem a GPU problem, but a CPU problem.

CONFIRMING EVEN MORE IT'S LIKELY A CPU PROBLEM.

Saw someone had a similar issue higher up the list, not to spam my response here, but just trying to help as many as possible.
Have you tried deleting the shader cache? It has been known to happen with unreal games.
It should be relatively safe to do, make sure the game is closed when you do this.
Then go to %appdata% :\Users\"You"\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\DXCache (YOUR ADRESS MAY VARY)Delete all the files that are not being used and in theory if your problem is a shader issue, then the game will ask your graphics card to make a new shader cache for you for Dead by Daylight and it will probably not bug out again. (probably)
Hope you figure out what the problem is. lemme know how it goes.

It doesn't feel like its CPU problem for me. My cpu has 12 cores, 24 threads and 3.7 GHz base clock.

I’m noticing a lot of stuttering & rubber banding, just like you I’m not sure what the issue could be. But if you found a solution please share, as I’ve read there are many who have the same issue.
